Season for points to be dropped in unlikely places

751

Yesterday’s result at Ibrox gave some welcome encouragement but it would be wrong to read too much into it.  Rangers still have the kind of lead that would have Celtic thoroughly confident of a league win and, lest we forget, St Johnstone collected all three points from Celtic Park already this season.

The win at Inverness was much more important.  The Highlanders are bottom of the league but that is a false position.  Two points separate Hibs, Dunfermline, Aberdeen and Inverness, while Kilmarnock, who shipped six goals to Inverness at home two weeks ago, are only a further two points away.  Even with 10 men Inverness remained well organised yesterday, don’t be surprised if they move ahead of the four teams above them in the weeks to come.

The league is remarkably tight from fourth place St Johnstone to bottom Inverness, where fewer points separate the teams than split Celtic and Rangers. Don’t, therefore, be surprised if points are dropped in the most unlikely places.

    Transcript from the Roosevelt youtube.

“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.”

    – U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in a letter written Nov. 21, 1933 to Colonel E. Mandell House

“If congress has the right under the Constitution to issue paper money, it was given them to use themselves, not to be delegated to individuals or corporations.”

    – Andrew Jackson

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”

    – Henry Ford

“Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government.”

    – Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference in Evians, France, 1991

“The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining super capitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control…. Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent.”

    – Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets (lol)

“Some even believe we (the Rockefeller family) are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”

    – David Rockefeller, Memoirs, page 405

“Bankers own the earth; take it away from them but leave them with the power to create credit; and, with a flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again… If you want to be slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers control money and control credit.”

    – Sir Josiah Stamp, Director, Bank of England, 1940.

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years… It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”

    – David Rockefeller, Bilderberg Meeting, June 1991 Baden, Germany

“The few who understand the system, will either be so interested from it’s profits or so dependent on it’s favors, that there will be no opposition from that class.” – Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

“Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes it’s laws.”

    – Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

“The money power preys on the nation in times of peace, and conspires against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces, as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes.” – Abraham Lincoln

Before 1913 America really was the place to go and be free, even if it took a while for the Constitution to really kick in and PROTECT all. It’s timeless nature was never mean’t to be appreciated at its outset but more when it is subverted, the warnings are plentiful by the quotes from above.

Jurno states he Greg was wronly sent off.

Strong statement. Hasn´t been reviewed yet. Does he know something we don´t, ala boogie´s recinded red for kicking a keeper in the head?

Butcher will get his card recinded alright.

    Against us it´s possible.

R Tokeley´s should have been recinded but we know why it wasn´t.

Operation “keep the reffs on their toes when Celtic are involved” running smoothly alongside “anything goes in a gers match, as long as they benifit”…..

  6. Sorry posted early

Rob McLean ” the celtic supporters will be throwing up at their TV screens”

Why would that be Rob? where you and the programme being deliberately provocative by presenting a biased one sided view of the highlights of the match between ICT and Celtic hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I am always amazed at the difference in the enormous gulf in standards between the presenters and the quality of the show between MOTD down south and what we get in Scotland

Does the BBC charter not exist up here

As for the written press Keevins, English, Jaba, Leckie et all know the Celtic online community has slaughtered these dinosaurs, exposed them for what they are, but more importantly the Celtic online community is a threat to their industry, so controversy sells as Neil Doncaster stated and there’s no better controversy than attacking all things Celtic, hence we will always be in fire storms with the media

  7. Good morning friends from a wet and dreary looking EK.

I believe the Green brigade don’t organise themselves as a group at away games

As usual don’t let the truth get in the way of a negative story about Celtic supporters

but if there was anything, it was drowned out. Neither Northern Constabulary, Caley Thistle’s stewards nor the SPL’s match delegate reported anything of concern. In fact, they privately praised the Celtic support.

    The Herald sound desperately dispointed

That’s one of the most inaccurate things I’ve ever read. It’s not even journalism, it’s just writing what you want. It’s got me so wound up I’ll have to get out of bed.

Apart from the lack of genuine facts in this article-in a paper which once had the respect of most-can I make a wee suggestion to The Green Brigade which might stop all this nonsense from Corrigan?

Tell him they are happy to meet at a time and place of his choosing.

As long as each invitation is personally hand-typed. Problem solved,I believe.

Hell will freeze over before he even gets the date down on paper!

  11. Too dark to say what kind of day it is in Fife but top of the morning to you all anyway.

lionroars 67, I think the Herald are being unkind to the GB with their editorial/article.

They say about the GB: “They seem to take pride in being a militant, belligerent group.”

I have only been to CP twice this season (ICT & Hibs) and sat above 111 but the GB inspired music on these occasions never included any pro-IRA stuff (unless you think PMFA is such) the only one instance of anything untoward I heard was about hating Rangers.

I don’t necessarily agree with what they say all the time, but they take the time to put their views forward and take an interest not only in the football but in what they see as faults in the club and society in general.

They do this in a peaceful manner and I say good on them.

When I hear Keevins, Jackson, Traynor, English, The Sun, Ass Con Corrigan (great atmosphere at CIS Cup Final), McBride, et al attacking them I find myself siding with them.

With those enemies they must be doing something pro-Celtic because many who want them chased out do so out of jealousy at the vibrancy they bring to CP and would love to see the tumble-weed blowing about on Section 111.

  12. setting free the bears

I checked again and it’s 26 (the discrepancy may be because I’m including their Falkirk CIS cup game), one of which was a double yellow (red card).

Your point about the failures to award legitimate fouls supports what I said earlier, namely that it’s pretty futile going through fouls/bookings (still, any excuse for a bit of number crunching).

    petec

It averages out at 10.4 fouls per game for Celtic, 9.88 for Rangers – not much difference (Celtic and Rangers have played the same amount of games in Scotland due to thems getting pumped out of the wee cup :-)

For those still awake, needless to say it’s a bit different in Europe. We have committed 78 fouls, in 6 games, earning 10 yellows and 1 straight red (an average of 13 fouls per game, 1 yellow per 7.2, 1 red per 78). Meanwhile, in their 4 games, Rangers committed 57 fouls, accruing 14 yellows and 2 straight reds (14.25 fouls a game, 1 yellow per 4.07 fouls, 1 red per 28.5).

Again, Rangers would appear to be more harshly treated. Whether this is because their fouls are dirtier, my stats are unable to say. Either that or they’re just ugly, but you don’t need stats to confirm that :-)

Good point but seriously though how did Comical Corrigan make Assistant Chief Constable without being able to type?

This buffoon (who was so fulsome in his praise of the Rangers fans at the CIS Cup Final) is the laughing stock of the world. His “Police Typing fail” vide on YouTube is going for a million-selling gold disc and yet he spends his time chasing the Green Brigade with helicopter, mounties, and special video surveillance crews.

Is there no serious crime in Glasgow that he should be seeing to?

Yes, I too remember a time was the Herald was a fairly respected newspaper…

The sole pupose of this latest unsigned “article” is to keep the spotlight on our fans and the GB in paticular.

It could have been written last week: it probably was, apart from this bit little “disapponting” fact:

Neither Northern Constabulary, Caley Thistle’s stewards nor the SPL’s match delegate reported anything of concern. In fact, they privately praised the Celtic support.

As you say they sound desperately dispointed, almost as if somebody poked them in the eye

  16. I am NL in NZ Tauranga on

Big Nan 7:30. I was home last Christmas and went to every game I could. Artic Tuesday night when Killie stole two points with a single attack the whole game. The best thing about the game was the GB singing away supporting the Celtic with everything they had . The true life and energy inside Celtic Park and that was for a team of players who were not living up to expectations. Real supporters and the future of our club in my opinion. I managed to get the ten quid two games deals for my three girls and my nieces and nephews so the next two games were just to the side of the GB. The kids totally got the GB and they made the atmosphere and the games memorable. I can’t recall any IRA songs but if they sang any it was the least part of the song book. Contrast this with the litany of hate spewing from the vast majority of huns and it is hunbelievable that they are winning this battle of the songs. I am definetely on the side of the GB and free speach. This is not an attack on the GB it’s an attack on me and you. It is true that we could starve them of oxygen by not singing any song that they can twist into something its not but equally starving the SPL clubs of the away dollar would have an immediate and substancial consequence. Until we try it we will never know.

  17. Good morning from MK where its a sort of nondescript day, weather wise.

The result at Inverness means we’ve successfully navigated a number of tricky games over the past few weeks and NL has stabilised the good ship Celtic. Things are beginning to fall into place and NL has passed another test, onwards and upwards.

On a slightly different issue I’ve just got to offer the following link which highlights how badly the UK is performing under this government and how little know about it.

” In a year we have had 0.5 per cent growth. In the G7, only Japan has grown more slowly than us and they had an earthquake. In the European Union, only Greece, Portugal and Cyprus have grown less than us.”

“only Estonia in the EU has a higher rate of inflation than us.”
