Shaping midfield, Tomoki’s run of starts

Shaping the midfield for the game before the game is the challenge for Brendan Rodgers on Sunday.  Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate are both likely to be available to him for the trip to the Plastic Pasta Stadium and both would benefit from gametime, although putting them in together would be too much of a risk.

Callum is uber-fit and I have no concerns about him coming in from the cold to a high-pressure environment.  Reo is the man I would concentrate on.  Start him alongside Matt O’Riley with Tomoki Iwata in the holding role.

This would be Tomoki’s sixth successive start.  For a player who (in the main) deputises for the captain, that is more than he would have expected at the start of the season.  It is also enough for you and me to make a proper assessment of the player.

    the authorities admitting how pish hampden is by making the east stand tickets a full tenner cheaper than the north and south stands

    At what point do we stop hoping our board will take action? How ludicrous does it have to get? What if we are cheated out of a swing of 100M and still nothing? When does it become a realisation that the only thing that will stop us being cheated is when, we the fans take action? Oldco still has around 20 trophies on their record and that wasn’t enough. Sorry their comes a point when the fans are to blame. Keep paying, keep being cheated.

    Zidane loved former Celtic hero Lubomir Moravcik

     

     

    Martin was telling a story about how he had to interview Lubo not long after signing for Celtic when he contacted a French media channel about getting footage of some of the Slovakian midfielder’s goals.

     

     

    Martin said [PLZ Soccer], “I got to interview him [Lubo Moravcik] and obviously I was working for STV had to get footage of him.

     

     

    “So I phoned Canal+ and I said, ’Lubomir Moravcik, played over there, could you send me some goals?’ and he went, ‘How many?’

     

     

    “And I thought to myself, ‘What?’ and he said there are so many he says, ‘Unbelievable. Left foot, right foot, you name it.’

     

     

    “And he said I’ve also got an interview with Zinedine Zidane saying he is his favourite player from French football.”

    I can understand that but did they feel the need to actually SAY that `… we will accept the panel`s decision` ?

     

     

    NB I am not saying that they they could have refused to accept but I don`t see the need to mention that they do. It sort of suggests that the panel were correct.
