Sine die Murray for Rangers lying and cheating

953

“The appeal is dismissed.” With those words at the Supreme Court in London at 9:52 this morning, Rangers tax cheating was established as fact. The charlatans who manipulated Scottish football fans were shown to be the disgrace they are.

Rangers made unlawful payments, totalling many millions of pounds, to footballers, who, by the club’s own admission in court, they would have been unable to recruit if they had to pay tax and National Insurance contributions for.

They lied to HMRC.

They also hid documents from HMRC, which only came to light during a City of London Police raid on Ibrox.

They hid documents from the SPL and SFA, failing to honestly register dozens of players.

They cheated the tax man.

They cheated the welfare state, the NHS, the police, councils, schools. They cheated the Army and other services.

The SPL’s (now called Scottish Professional Football League) Commission into these matters must now be set aside. It was conducted on the assumption that Rangers acted legally. Lord Nimmo Smith was clear that his conclusions were predicated on this point.  A fresh commission is required, we cannot just allow the biggest cheats in British sporting history wander off into the distance.

The SFA has failed to call Sir David Murray to account, or the other directors of Rangers, who had explicit responsibility to ensure the club acted within the laws of the land and within the rules of football, both of which it failed to do.

Murray should be sine died. God knows, I cherish every moment Dave King controls things at Ibrox, but he was a director of Rangers with legal responsibility for its actions. They should all be censured.

  1. The SFA’s response is like them not fit for purpose.

Although their sole purpose seems to be huns above all others.

They are generally a mirror of Scottish society for the most part.

Even though a lot of Scottish society is no fan of the huns they support them in the cause of keeping Timmy down.

Can’t have the culturally inferior winning and refuting their sense of superiority for the nonsense it is.

I once was speaking to a supporter of the old club and asked how he felt about the cheating of refs ey are the most sleekit.for them.He replied straight faced they should it’s our country.I pointed out it was a predominantly Catholic country before the reformation so his claim did not stand up to reason. He replied it’s ours now and far better for it.He could not give me a reason why. This guy was a moderate hun but to me they are more sleekit.

This best wee bigoted country in the world will do everything to keep those tainted titles.

They don’t do shame cheating is acceptable in it’s dna.

Alex never wobbled. Trust me. He has scores to settle.

I see Dons supporters Trust are acting to gain support to force Dons to react. Their current position is silence in spite of their SPL Board member in 2013 being most unhappy at the LNS Decision, so that might change.

Give it a few days for the SFA’s two fingers to Scottish supporters to sink in.

Milne has stated that Scottish football has to move on, think his new stadium might be empty if he maintains that stance.

  6. I wonder if any intrepid journalist in Scotland has asked ole Lord Nimmo what he thinks??

Unless he’s a log I’m sure he’s not happy at having the wool pulled over his eyes..

Amid all my joy at last nights hilarity and today’s sound judgement I am sorry to say that nothing else will be done to them. Self interest will rule in the boardrooms. Despite the great Jock stating the importance of fans to football, at board level we are just fodder. Season tickets bought, waiting list in place- move on, nothing to see here. I wish it was not true but we who are passionate hold no sway with the dead eyes of the Sharks who run he show.

I really hope and pray that I am wrong and there is someone at Celtic with a spine to match our hearts.

Supporters do have the power to drive through change. If there was an organised movement akin to 1994 I am sure that Fan power would get the desired result.

Glad sevco are not going to be part of it as their organised movement since 2012 has been disastrous.

    Keep the Faith!

Maybe we won’t get justice on this occasion but if the game is cleaned up from here on in then surely that is enough to keep you & many other great men a part of the club. Celtic F.C becomes a lesser place without stand up people like yourself, DD & the like . In hindsight I think without Celtic in your life would be tantamount to losing an arm or a leg.

    Lennybhoy 9.31.

    Yes, I agree.

My worry is that we may end up on our own.

We should not be the only club issuing a statement.

Aberdeen refusing to do so, despite pressure from their fans is not a good sign.

Hopefully the tide will start to turn.

    Hail Hail.

  12. Just logged in from Geneva as it is a momentous day. I arrived here this morning by train and walked past a statue of what I took to be Calvin. When I told him the Sevco score, he looked even more severe and unhappy. He even suggested his theory of predestination might need revising- I suggested “We might no be the people ”

I would have preferred a Sevco win and a Linfield defeat but we got a bigger result today

I remain a wee bit concerned by the lack of UK and international coverage of the story but maybe they will catch up on the implications. There will have to be a lot of backtracking by SFA and Scottish media, including the guy at Celtic TV otherwise Alex Thompson and the internet bampots will remain outside voices and easily dismissed

I will be home on Friday. Try to keep a lid on all the excitement you are having without me

I want more than anything the game cleaned up, a level playing field, a level playing field is all I and I would wager 99.99999999% of Tims want, but it seems that’s too much to ask for in today’s scotland when the huns are involved.

In every other sport I can think of, if you cheat anything you win is taken from you as a consequence of your cheating, this is NOT a punishment, it’s the right thing to do, cheat and you pay if you are caught, and they have been banged to rights big time.

The Huns are stripped of titles = their record is invalidated

The Huns are not stripped of titles .. Does that make their titles valid? In my mind NO.

    Therefore tomatoes tomatos.

The are busted flush whatever happens. Everyone knows it.

If they were to strip titles where would you stop. My Granda used to reckon virtually every title they won for decades was referee/SFA assisted…

Thing is that’s all out in the open now.

Auldheid-Dessybhoy- et al- ‘football without the fans is nothing’, you will soon see a huge movement for justice , we cannot accept the ‘establishment ‘ line.I posted earlier , do these faceless, compliant goons, want to give up their livliehoods for a dead football team? They will be discarded liars, unemployable, if they get outed on the hun Titanic. There will be huns on the inside wanting to go keys now.Enough is enough .IMHO
