  1. You stated we have best defensive record = fact

Timbhoy has an opinion or an agenda

    In my opinion 😜😜

  2. David66.

    Starfelt

    Sorry about that .

If whoever DID post it is on currently, I wonder if they could answer my question at “ST TAMS on 26TH DECEMBER 2021 4:03 PM

  4. If we could improve set pieces we could still win the league. If we continue tge the way we have been then the cheats will get £40m.

Our corners and free kicks around the box are totally useless, easily the worst of any team in Scotland, probably the whole world. And the cheats won against us with a corner, RC scored from one with only 15% possession, Hibs same in the cup. Cheats score from corner against team if 11 defenders. Most pub teams are better than us at these, even throws are pathetic.

  5. Great to win today though. Wtf is happening with the team, I’ve never seen such a shallow squad. Does anyone know how the cheats never get covid???

  6. onenightinlisbon on

Dignity FC are a covid free zone. Ibrox affords them that protection. Sevvy G gets covid twice on moving to Birmingham….

  7. onenightinlisbon on

You would think our board might be asking relevant questions re the Ibrox covid shield? Nah……

  8. garygillespieshamstring on

Has Kris Void advanced the theory yet that Celtic engineered the car crash in the Paris tunnel in 1997 in order to have the game v the Huns postponed till we had a settled team to prevent the hun doing 10?

  9. AT – I am good following some of doctors orders.

    Hope you are well.

Starfelt is probably learning a new way of playing football and possibly in a new position.

So he will be a little nervous.

As long as we score 1 more than opposition and we have best goals against in league so he must be doing something right as a defender.

    Hail Hail D

    D :)

  10. Hot smoked – I cannot answer your question.

But I hope you and your brother are well, please pass on my regards and a Merry Christmas.

  11. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

If I was running a Covid avoidance scam at a football club this is how I would do it

    Test every player, coach.

Simultaneously test a dozen non-footballing staff

None of the players, coaches positive?

Send all the tests away to Norn Iron

    Some of them positive?

Isolate them on the QT and send negative tests from non footballing staff in their stead

Test kits received by a lab are checked for the virus, results verified & recorded, and then destroyed.

    DNA doesn’t come into it.

  12. David.

    Some.:-) gŕrr

Stay positive in attitude and I hope it was a good day in the garden of God yesterday

    Health first my friend.

The above hypothetical would only work in an environment that was largely trust based and with limited oversight (e.g. due to cost).

A change in the levels of incidence might emerge when other jurisdictions (e.g. FIFA, UEFA) with more stringent policing of the end-to-end process for involved.

    Hhmm.

  14. Glad to get that game out the way with in my view a never in danger 3 points.

I seem to remember someone on here saying put 10 Celtic supporters together you will get 10 different opinions and I would say that this site reflects that.

My seat in 404 had three of the best supporters I’ve ever met on my left, all from the Musselburgh bus, one guy to the right who if we didn’t score on the first attack was doom and gloom and 2 guys who thought they were comedians who picked a player or 2 to give abuse to the entire season.

It takes all kinds but I just don’t get the negativity

  15. AT – What’s a bhoy to do.

Thanks for the kind words we were up in Moodiesburn yesterday at my Daughters and seeing the grandkids (what a joy).

Stay safe D and keep up the good work, you are a Gent.

Musselburgh bus uses same company as Prestonpans, causes all sorts of confusion if they park close to us and you have had a beer or six😱😵🍺

Would like to think that the Green Brigade ultras are tapping into our Scottish (Gaelic-Egyptian) folk roots there….singing …

    ‘Below the Gallows Tree’

Better known perhaps as ‘Macphersons Lament’ and also played on bagpipe, with many great versions out there not least by Tommy Makem

  18. We have the best defensive record in the league in spite of Carl Starfelt not because of him. He k

Looks awkward and nervous and His passing always looks underhit. I am afraid he is another Efe. Nice guy but not good enough. CCV and Joe Hart are the prime reasons we have the best record. They have been immense this season.

  19. There may be some lurking imposters still on here, like the perpetual bheaver@ 2:05 who always shows up when we lose a goal, but the cqn updates were impressive today. Good support of the team and lots of different points of view.

  20. prestonpans bhoys on

Brother watching a recording of the game, doesn’t know the score, said couldn’t believe we let in three goals in the last 15. Should keep him on his toes😂😂😂😂😂

  21. Didn’t see the game live, but you have to hand it to Ange, he has done a great job in getting any sort of performance out of this squad. To drop only 2 points in December is a real testament to his methods.

Our injury list, plus a covid outbreak, with a Kyogo injury to put the tin hat on it.

Also, an interesting stat: Abada has scored more goals this season than Forrest has in 9 of his 12 seasons at the club – and we are only halfway through the season!

I’d be tempted to make Abada a striker and aim to get a couple of wingers in, in addition to other positions we require.

  22. I thought we were excellent in the first half today. Saw some of the best one touch passing in years. We cut through St. Johnstone at will. Took our foot off the gas a bit in the second half and you could see the St. Johnstone goal coming for 5 minutes before it arrived. We started to footer about at the back instead of getting the ball into their half and keeping possession there. Delighted with Nir’s goal to make the points safe (and with Liel’s earlier brace). Glad we’ve reached the break and hopefully our players can rest and recover from injury. It will be interesting to see what both Celtic and Sevco do during the transfer window. Six points is not irretrievable but we need to get our transfer dealings right. A belated Happy Christmas to all CQN posters and to all Tims wherever you may be.

  24. WHO should be contacting Ibrox to see how they remain covid free.

Funny if it is a UEFA tournament with independent checks they are affected.

  25. To score three times on that abomination of a pitch was good going. St Johnstone should employ green-keepers and not farmers.

And now we pause, six behind, stiil in Europe and a bit of silver back in the house. Not too bad actually, all considered. The ultimate outcome will depend on what we do in January, and also what those across the river do.

    Today was Massive.

We played oor fitba on an atrocious surface. The skill frae the Wizard of OZ (Incredible skillz)@ Nir’s exquisite strike was Truly Magical.

  27. Defiant Celtic fans clash with police in Glasgow as they storm football ground to watch match after crowds were capped at 500 in Sturgeon’s Christmas crackdown

Restrictions in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are being brought in from today to combat Covid cases

Armed with flares and sporting banners reading, ‘F**k the SNP’, Celtic fans attempted to storm the ground

Football fans clashed with police at a premiership match in Scotland this afternoon as tensions boiled over amid stringent curbs imposed by Nicola Sturgeon.

New coronavirus restrictions are being introduced in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland today as the country’s leaders try to combat rising Covid cases but politicians in England are unlikely to discuss further measures until Monday.

The three nations have each imposed limits on the size of gatherings, requirements for social distancing and tighter rules for pubs, restaurants and leisure venues.
