    Thanks for That 18yard man, if they are currently 74th, I would definitely expect them to be last in Co-Efficent Pot so that is 1 million plus 15 million for Qualifying plus TV Pot which I guessed at 6 but TBB could be right at 8, Give them the 8 that would make 24, I’d give them a max of 2 home draws thats a grand total of 26k.

     

    Yes they would have match income & TV but if we were second & in Qualifiers so would we, arguably we would have to play a lot more games than them so we could earn more than them from this source.

     

    However simple solution just win the fecking League & end all the drama.

    If we don’t win the league, we do have CL qualifiers. Three transfer windows and a year under Ange, we’d give it a good go imo.

    Realistically what was the ambitions this season when Eddie Howe knocked us back after an eternity. After a disastrous and embarrassing season.

     

     

    The general consensus was progress.

     

     

    We have made such progress that to even contemplate winning the league is unbelievable.

     

     

    My friends ” Nil sini labore” . We have much work to do but the journey is on track.

    The huns also have a liability by the name of Mike Ashley crystallising next year by some reports. We can knock anywhere between 10-15 million of their bottom line in that case.

    Enjoyed the day, enjoyed the chat, normally I get depressed at International Breaks never mind Winter Breaks but this year, I’m delighted, looking forward to 3 stress free weeks, without any fitbaw worries.

    The difference in the huns making CL next season and us doing the Europa, would be bridged by their pay out to sports direct.

     

     

    It’s not the game changer it’s made out to be, unless the huns qualify every season.

     

     

    They are over spending and need to reduce their running costs. Next season will not change that fact.

     

     

    However, we’ve a league to win and that is what 21st century Celtic do, dominate and win. Let’s do it regardless of the euros on offer.

    Any money from any potential champions league, Must e taken in context of current earnings from Europa league

     

    So using this season as an example

     

    If Sevco made £15 -17m last season and lost over £25m in the season

     

    An extra £23m may help them break even ?

     

     

    It is Not an extra £40m any club will make in Scotland

    Enjoyed all the posts tonight and think that both the result and overall performance today were excellent. Now on to my main point which could probably be regarded as a bit trivial. Every game we play I get really annoyed that our opposition seem to be allowed to walk twenty yards further up the pitch when they have a throw in. It also happens with free kicks. Middle of the pitch throws and free kicks become an opportunity to attack our box. This is almost never penalised or even acknowledged. Not long after half time today the referee penalised us for stealing a few yards and subsequently gave the throw in to St Johnstone. We had a poor period of possession immediately after. These decisions are more hurtful to us than the blatant penalty box or sending off ones. Its amazing how we can go from being so fluid and playing great football in some of these matches to being almost patchy and less effective. I doubt that any other team in the SPL will have that particular decision go against them this season. Thanks for listening fellow Bhoys. I feel a lot better now. Goodnight. 👉🐀Madden

    I think Ange has worked miracles with what he inherited in the summer and with what he’s faced in recent times with injuries and COVID. By and large he’s had to get by without his two best players and numerous other key players absent. Some players have really stepped up, Bitton being one of a few. Hopefully we can move a few duds on, Ajeti, Soro and Barkas to name a few and add 2 or 3 of first team quality, which is never easy.

     

     

    If we can regroup injury wise and add those new signings, i can really see it taking off. Everyone is behind Ange as much as i hate to reference them, if he can turn them over at the next attempt the whole thing will really explode. If Michael Nicholson comes up with the goods it could be full steam ahead and it will take some stopping.

    Funny how we heard about 40m windfalls from champions league participation right up until they didn’t get it. And then no one said it had cost them 40m, ever

     

     

    The difference between Europa League and Cl football is 15m at the lower limits and 20 at the very highest.

     

     

    We get by ok with EL income, it’s not nothing

    An awful lot of analysis about Sevco’s potential CL windfall ?????

     

     

    If we do the right thing, and they maintain this year’s standard ….

     

     

    …. Their CL windfall will be zero.

     

     

    Since the dark early days ending with a loss at Livingstone, Ange has led us to

     

     

    – 11 wins, 3 draws from 14 league games

     

    – League Cup victory

     

    – 9 points in tough Europa League group

     

     

    Of those league games ….

     

     

    1 of 11 wins was sneaked (Ross County)

     

    The others were solid victories.

     

    One draw was 2 points chucked (Livvi) which cancels out Ross County win in terms of points accumulated (IMHO)

     

    The two other draws (Dundee United, St Mirren) could have yielded 4 more points with just a little bit better performance (hey ho)

     

     

    And all with a patched up squad?

     

     

    Absolutely remarkable.

     

     

     

    We get our squad fit and add THREE good players (early)

     

     

    And then apply serious pressure (early)

     

     

    Great chance of winning the league !

    against us. I re member a few years ago Artur Borac being penalised for putting his foot over

     

    the 18 yard as he cleared up the park. Never saw that happen since. Different rules apply to us

    Agree. He played through the centre today like Kyogo – darting in to great positions but is he a natural goalscorer like Kyogo? Perhaps not. But that could change as he’s still young. I got the feeling he’s learning from Kyogo’s movement (and maybe coaching).

    As for that HUN CHUMP Kris Boyd…..

     

    When he played for the Huns in his 1st stint, I knew and drank with some Hun fans that HATED Him…despite his goals !

     

    Needless to say, they were even more unhappy when he re signed for the Huns the 2nd time.

     

    One of those Hun Pals of mine also OWNED my local Pub at the time, and one of his sons played professional Fitba for a few Scottish teams.

     

    This ” Son” was also Pals with Boyd, and one night he brought Boyd into his Dads Pub for a few Beers. His Dad wasnt there that night, but when he found out the next day that HIS Son had brought Boyd into the Pub…He was RAGING with his boy.

     

    He WARNED his Son to NEVER do that ever again.

     

    The Hun dad…Hated Boyd with a Passion…as he saw him as a ” Pure Lazy Bassa” !

     

     

    Maybe ” Wattie Smith” didnae like Boyd too much either, cos Boyd was only on the Bench in the Manchester UEFA Cup Final in 2008, DESPITE being the Huns top goal scorer.

    UEFA Cup Final 2008..huns v ZENIT…..

     

    I think Wattie Smith ONLY brought Boyd on from the bench when Zenit were Two Goals up for the last 15 minutes or so ?

     

    In my local Pub at that time, there were some Hun fans that were UNHAPPY with Smith NOT playing Boyd from the start in that final, and they tried to use THAT as an excuse for getting beat by ZENIT ?

     

    I was QUICK to remind those Hun Fans that Zenits Centre Forward ( I cant remember his name, but he signed for Spurs soon after the UEFA Final)….that Zenits MAIN STRIKER was also MISSING from the Zenit team for that Final as he stupidly got himself SENT AFF in their Semi Final, when the Tie was WON, so he was SUSPENDED for that Final !

     

    Zenit won that Cup without their Centre Forward….the Hun fans that I knew at that time didnae like to be REMINDED of that FACT !
