Supreme Court gets to grips with Rangers Tax Case

438

I long ago promised to take nothing for granted regarding the Rangers Tax Case, as it confounded my predictions from the off, but with the matter underway today with its final arbiter, The Supreme Court, I’m prepared to go as far as to say: so far, so good.

There is a long way to go – so no one should be out celebrating a draw. The matter will not be settled by the performance of a QC on his feet, rather the finer points of law. Today has been interesting, so far, but we will hopefully be well into our next Champions League group stage games before we hear the outcome.

Alzheimer Scotland were in touch yesterday and asked me to send you this message:

celtic fans thank you (002)

I know they were enormously appreciative that Billy McNeill’s family decided to go public with his situation two weeks ago. The encouragement they have had since has fortified their efforts. Your donation of £3264 blew them away.

Thank you.

Morning Bhoys from a very windy Central Scotland. No wonder Scottish football is a financial mess when clubs like Dundee get the chance to sell several thousand tickets for a match to Celtic fans which would bring them in a much needed income boost they refuse to do so.There will be many empty seats at Dens amongst the very small Dundee support but of course they dont need or want our money they are happy to struggle along on the park and financialy as I said no wonder Scottish football is a financial mess with plonkers like the Dundee board running the football club.

Nobody with the slightest bit of tech savvy needs to pay to watch footie anymore.

I agree with you 100% that tv is an evil for the match going supporter.

Clubs need to prioritise the fans who make the effort to actually attend games. IMO , no game should be televised in the normal manner unless 80% of available tickets are sold. Contracts should reflect that or similar proposals. Football without fans has never been a more pertinent quotation.

In saying that, I will be in the pub to watch Celtic at Dundee.

No, it appeared to me to last night that you responded poorly to Neganon, without addressing him directly, because he disagrees with the prevailing mood of CQN, as he sees it.

You equated this with ‘Big Brother’ watching you from ‘1984’.

Ironic, given some of your recent posts, as I said.

Your overreaction to Neg’s post suggests it’s you who has the problem with free speech, not me.

I reserve the right to criticise anyone calling Sevco ‘Rangers’.

However, I’m not asking for the mods to intervene or anything!

I’m just using my right to disagree, a right I’m delighted you have too.

I hope you backed it, sir !
