Supreme Court gets to grips with Rangers Tax Case

438

I long ago promised to take nothing for granted regarding the Rangers Tax Case, as it confounded my predictions from the off, but with the matter underway today with its final arbiter, The Supreme Court, I’m prepared to go as far as to say: so far, so good.

There is a long way to go – so no one should be out celebrating a draw. The matter will not be settled by the performance of a QC on his feet, rather the finer points of law. Today has been interesting, so far, but we will hopefully be well into our next Champions League group stage games before we hear the outcome.

Alzheimer Scotland were in touch yesterday and asked me to send you this message:

celtic fans thank you (002)

I know they were enormously appreciative that Billy McNeill’s family decided to go public with his situation two weeks ago. The encouragement they have had since has fortified their efforts. Your donation of £3264 blew them away.

Thank you.

  1. An entertaining game to watch tonight.

Man city awful in the first and good in second but their inability to defend sees them knocked out.

Their game plan in first was poor but the coaching adjustments in second worked.

It’s to easy to point fingers at individual defenders but their overall system is defensively frail.

Every time Monaco got behind the full backs panic ensued and the midfield did not seem to get back into defensive positions.

Not having Toure in Champions league squad hurt them.

Unless Pep modifies his philosophy and system they will struggle and his tenure will fail.

Reckon Guardiola will go out and buy a couple of attackers for next season after that.

Toure was on the bench tonight and I think played in the first leg, but the game passed him by. He’s far to slow to play at this level these days.

  4. The Celtic they always go out to attack.

Neils team had the least bookings, depsite being victimised.

So surreal getting sunburnt going skiing.

Scotland is So irrelevant, Celtic is doing more than Anything to put it on the Map.

Sept 99 is the month that Campbell Ogilvie instigated the first DOS ebt to pay Craig Moore. If there was a side letter it never surfaced unlike the Ogilvie letter to Montreal Trust.

De Boer was paid by a DOS ebt but there is a side letter that somehow did not get passed to Harper Macleod in April 2012.

Tommy McLean was appointed hun youth coach in May 2001. During the glorious EBT Years. Who are the rest of the hidden EBTers. Hope its Dallas, McCurry and Dougal involved.

  11. ‘Mourinho also confirmed United had been forced to travel back to the north-west by coach after the Chelsea game, arriving at 4am after their charter flight failed to make it to Heathrow.’

    Tough life Jose.

  12. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Delaney’s, Jim Stewart was the St Mirren goalie at that great game at Love Street.

In the Scotsport coverage, he collects the ball just as word comes through about Dundee’s first goal and our support going mental.

He was in goal for the now defunct club when Charlie Nick scored that great solo goal at Ibrox.

Jim Stewart was also a big pal of our dear departed Tommy Burns.

Seriously, they could only afford Tommy McClean on an EBT as youth coach? Sounds to me like every football related employee was paid via these tax cheating methods. Absolute hunduggery scum bucket cheating bassa’s.

  18. MWD- i hope you are getting better amigo, the 2nd series of BB was brutal, but got better, a bit overrated for me HH.The main characters of The Sopranos were key to the whole story, and brilliantly acted, Uncle Jun was so funny in first couple of series’.
