Have we progressed since the early season shambles against Legia and Maribor?  Of course, we are winning regularly and playing with confidence, but it’s clear there’s also a lot more work to do.  Celtic’s best performance of the season so far was in Salzburg, a more favourable wind would have seen us leave with three points, but that performance also stung Salzburg, who saw their aspirations to win the group take a hit.

It will take our best performance of the season to return a win tonight, but I’m expecting nothing less.

Sir David Murray has stuck to his “duped” story.  Craig Whyte’s chosen path for Rangers was a surprise to him.  This account is now to be explored in the witness box at the trial of the Ibrox Five.  I suspect I could script Murray’s evidence myself, “duped”, “shocked”, “best interests of…”

Of vastly more interest will be Alastair Johnston’s evidence.  Johnston and his independent board committee opposed Whyte’s takeover and made representations to Murray, which will also be revealed in the witness box.

News that Craig Whyte was arrested in Mexico and is now likely to be subject to extradition proceedings will be welcomed by few of the characters in this messy business.  Whyte, as we know, recorded everything.  He will be a difficult man to setup as a patsy.

The only questions is, how do I get court tickets?

Three points tonight, please, Celtic.

Many thanks to everyone who has supported the CQNBookstore.  The 2015 CQN Annual is now available to pre-order for delivery week commencing 8 December, get it while it’s hot!

    U’d play McGregor wide left….. I’m not so sure….

Wide left is our trouble position….. Stokes doesn’t offer work rate or defensive know how, when wide left.

Wakaso..hmmmm, no sure … I guess he’s the only natural wide left player in our squad.

McGregor would be a gamble…. Is he the type to get to bye line and wip in a left footed cross…. I can’t see it myself

Getting a bit nervous now as the clock ticks down.

The approach must be not to panic under pressure.

And to remember that the opposition is regarded by some on here as past it.

Yes, it’s now just over half an hour till mini Baldie v (hopefully) Auld Shug!

I like to do a scorecast at around the 100/1 mark which has a realistic chance of coming up, can’t remember last time it did… But tonight the winner is James Forrest/1-0 @ 100/1.

    C’mon the Celts!

    Hi

Anyone use a kid’s ticket for tonight ? The lad can’t go and his ticket is available.

  7. Craigy Whyte strikes me as a bit of a gambler, a Maverick, I have high hopes Craigy Bhoy might just blow the whole bloody story wide open……he might just set a new narrative for this never ending story.

” Where are you getting these large sums of money?”………..”Superior business methods and none of your business!!!!!! ”

Oh the fun we’re going to have hahahaha

  8. This is RDs acid test. Salzburg are the best team we’ve faced. They’ve been up close, seen us – counts for a lot in sport. If we’ve progressed, it’ll show tonight.

I’ve been on RDs case since he blew the CL at ht v Maribor with the insane 4-2-4 substitution of Kayal for Commons. Reckoned him a dud then, will happily shut my gub and back him if we beat them and show he’s learned to manage a club our size in top competition.

When Whyte’s lawyers show the Scottish judiciary what he has he will be fined (ha ha) and released on his own recognizance after major Res 12 like stalling all around.

Anything else will result in the jailing of Minty.

    Not going to happen.

  10. Just spotted Tommy Lee Jones at Glasgow Airport waiting on Craig ‘Richard Kimble’ Whyte (aka the Fugitive)……………….

Whether Mitchell did use the word pleb or not is irrelevant – I’m just pleased that he suffers the same outcome as the common man who is rarely believed in court over the evidence give by a serving police officer

My head agrees with you but my heart and soul wants to believe we’ll get payback for the injustice of Nimmo Smith somewhere along the line.

This Maverick character will need a good payoff to keep stummmm and he just might provide a chink to be exploited.

  15. BBC scotland giving CW’s flight details out on air on the 6.30 news, why?

Raith rovers apparently 20yrs ago today getting an airing, why?

In my humble opinion they hate us big time.
