When we lost 1-0 at Ibrox earlier in the season play was focussed on Odsonne Edouard until he was replaced by Ismaila Soro (yes, really) and Kyogo moved into the central position for the final 23 minutes. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota had yet to join the club, we didn’t have a fit left back and two of the starting line-up knew they were on their last outing in green and white hoops.
Despite this, and playing before an exclusively home crowd, Celtic enjoyed 66% possession and Edouard missed a chance that he hoped Crystal Palace did not see.
Only four of those who started for Celtic are likely to do so again on Sunday: Hart, Starfelt, Juranovic and McGregor. Beyond those who start, we have options on the bench who can change the game if necessary. Last time, as well as Soro, Ange Postecoglou brought on Tom Rogic, who remains in contention, and Adam Montgomery. Resources were chronically weak by comparison.
We will bring a new and vastly improved team to Ibrox, one that has overcome the points deficit we left the ground carrying in August and can effectively secure the second trophy of the season on Sunday.
None of this is conjecture. Whatever the merits of Celtic as they dominated possession and lost in August, the scale of transformation since is beyond any of the hopes we had back then. Recent form does not guarantee results, but we can draw confidence from it ahead of Sunday.

What is treacherous about increasing revenue to benefit the club? There are no queues of wealthy fans lining-up with £100m+ to bankroll Celtic in exchange for ‘confetti shares’.
What is your business plan for the club?
Ahead of a big Glasgow Derby and serious doubts about whether one clubs most potent striker and arguably the best goal getter in the league will appear.
Surely that’s a great boost to their opponents no matter which way you look at it.
That said I don’t see his absence (if indeed his unfit to play) having a major effect on the result.

The whisky really is special. It breaks alm the rules but truly reflects what has been an incredible transition at Celtic.
A limited run of 2022 numbered bottles of a unique liquid. A marriage of the best of speyside single malts and the finest Japanese single malt. This has been finished in barrels which previously held Australian Shiraz red wine. To make this it was necessary to marry the liquids and to bottle outside of Scotland. With so many unique facets we think this will be a huge demand product for collectors in years to come.
Like the gin though there is a huge pride in creating something which links to the club in a special way. If people want to buy them that is great. If not then that’s fine also.
What is the starz – This season Morelos is their talisman, their focal point and their chief goalscorer. He is also the guy most likely to con the ref into giving free kicks and penalties.
It is a massive blow.
