VIDEO: RONNY IN HIS OWN WORDS

0

RONNY DEILA yesterday spoke about his decision to leave Celtic at the end of the season, hopefully after completing a second successive league campaign and delivering 5 in a row for the club.

We have already reported on the press conference which also featured Leigh Griffiths, who showed genuine regret that Ronny is leaving. Griffiths was told early doors by Ronny what he had to do to improve and make Deila’s starting eleven. He did just that and is a much better player as a result.

Where would we be without Leigh Griffiths and his goals this season?

For others in the squad things haven’t gone so well. Kris Commons for instance, himself not long ago a 30 goals a season player, rarely features these days and on the occasions when he has been selected recently, he has been a shadow of the the player we all know he is.

The priority for now is winning the league and that means beating Ross County on Sunday. Everyone who can should get along, support the team and the manager and roar us onto 5 in a Row.

Meanwhile, watch the video of Ronny’s press conference yesterday, where we speaks so well and obviously cares deeply for our football club.

When he arrived in Scotland two years ago he was here for an interview for the Assistant Manager’s job. You get the feeling he would have excelled in that role.

What might have been eh? Just another Celtic regret.
