‘Worth up to’ kit deals

428

There are two ways you can announce a shirt sponsor deal, one like it’s “worth up to £10m over three years”, or one like “worth £10m over three years”.  Some commercial deals in football are performance related.  If you win the league, qualify for the Champions League group stages, or even Europa League group stages, the value of the deal increases due to the added exposure and brand-related coverage.

Celtic will get nothing for winning the league, because that factor is already built into expectations.  They will, however, earn commercial bonuses for Champions League qualification.

Newco’s reported three year kit deal is the “worth up to” variety.  Bonuses will be dependent on winning the league, qualifying for the Europa League and Champions League group stages.  Who knows, Dave King might come across with the money needed to get there…………

From yesterday, so……..”let’s behalfin’ you, DESERTBHOY

    ..DESERTBHOY..DESERTBHOY..DESERTBHOY..DESERTBHOY..

Good evening Celtic men and wummin. Serious post from me. Aye, that doesn’t happen often….:_)

I’m getting increasingly concerned about the CQN poster desertbhoy. Desertbhoy (Rob Blackwood) was one of the CQN’rs who bought into a whisky cask I purchased four years ago and is part of the CQN cask syndicate. I’ve been trying to email him to no avail regarding a sample I have for him. I also have a mobile number which appears to now be disconnected.

If anyone on here knows desertbhoy and is able to contact him, please ask him to get in touch with me asap.

Thanks and could someone kindly post this over the next few days on the off chance that he may see it.

  2. BR showing as quite far down the betting odds list of Wenger replacements behind Ancelotti, Viera, Tuchel, Jardin, Loew, Allegri, Benitez, Favre, Dyche and Henry. Won’t stop the Record or Sun spinning him up the list, and every press conference asking when he’s leaving.

  3. Rodgers to Arsenal…..and he’s taking KT with him…..

For the Laptop Loyal from Level 5 lurking……there is your day’s work done for you….

  5. Bit of Friday fun aimed at our rivals, but a true story.

I always took Celtic and AN Other, on the lotus cards that are sold weekly in my local boozers for some amateur team or other. I also observed that when the winner was called out, it was always the Winner of the card is “WEST HAM, WULLIE B” (for Example)

So this gave me the idea that i will always take SEVCO on the card. So needless to say it took around about six months for Sevco to eventually come up on the card and as i always took Celtic and now Sevco, the winner was announced, the winner of the card is

“Rangers, R.DEED” to which i gladly picked up my £20 and said “YES they R DEED” Coincidentally Celtic came up a couple of weeks previous.

The Tims all had a good chuckle, whilst the currents where drawing daggers.

  10. Jobo. Thanks for keeping us abreast with the number of sleeps till we celebrate more wonderful events in the life of a Celt. I would not want to sleep in for any of the great moments. Just one question, and it may be my advancing years that are causing me to ask it, do we actually unfurl the flag now? Do we not receive the league trophy in the weeks ahead and the unveiling of the flag takes place at the first home game of the new season?

Oh. and I think the honour of doing so should be given to John Clark.

  11. Arsenal job:

Celtic manager Rodgers is one surprise name being connected to the job. The former Liverpool manager has admitted being flattered by the links in the past and would relish a return to the Premier League.

Rodgers insisted he remained happy in Glasgow during in a pre-match press conference ahead of Celtic’s potential title-clincher at Hibernian: ‘There is still a lot of work for me to do, to achieve, on the pitch and off the pitch.

‘But you can only do that if you are happy and for me I couldn’t be happier at this club. The support I get from the board, it is all very aligned, very clear and that allows me to work in confidence.’

  12. Ole Carlo Ancelotti will get the Arsenal gig.

Brendan will have to wait until we achieve 10 iar!

    You heard it here first!

    HH!!
