‘Worth up to’ kit deals

428

There are two ways you can announce a shirt sponsor deal, one like it’s “worth up to £10m over three years”, or one like “worth £10m over three years”.  Some commercial deals in football are performance related.  If you win the league, qualify for the Champions League group stages, or even Europa League group stages, the value of the deal increases due to the added exposure and brand-related coverage.

Celtic will get nothing for winning the league, because that factor is already built into expectations.  They will, however, earn commercial bonuses for Champions League qualification.

Newco’s reported three year kit deal is the “worth up to” variety.  Bonuses will be dependent on winning the league, qualifying for the Europa League and Champions League group stages.  Who knows, Dave King might come across with the money needed to get there…………

It was a Scottish Cup replay, first game was 1-1.

I was there with my Dad and some friends.

Didn’t get home ’til after midnight.

    Great memories!

  4. Yes correct,remember it well.

If I recall their Chairman said the Celtic fans would not travel mid-week so no need for extraordinairy precautions or tickets, which were not that common at that time.

What annoyed me most was that I gave the black neck Yoker Toi tramp hun my attention in the first place. Us Tims are too strong mentally for thems to handle. I blame our Roman Catholic schooling.

Three of the best ‘Liberos’ of all time can’t pay the Celt

    any higher complement than that.

Did some of the players not call him ‘the brush’ as well?

Some player indeed and as others have already stated

I don’t like being called a taig by a care in the community type DOB.

Don’t know what taig means, but it was said in anger by the DOB.

Belfast 9th June 2018. Be there Joe please.

  8. John Clark was also a student of the game.

I was told he bought every football magazine and knew as much about foreign clubs as he did local teams.

A remarkable player and a remarkable man.

    A true CELTIC LEGEND.

  11. Alistair Johnston thinks the huns are “ahead of the curve” in their recovery. I wonder where they expected to be if they are ahead of progress!

Needless to say, the huns are revolting! (see what I did there?)

  13. Must be great being a sevco supporter, papers giving out the good New stories about multi-million pound shirt deals and being ahead of schedule, so signing a poor contract with a nomark sports company and £20 million debts is ahead of schedule, if ahead of schedule, what is the schedule for ffs????

What that club need more than anything is honesty but that will never happen

The reason you like that line is because we all know it is true. We fought Yoker Toi wi fists and Doc Martens. They hun cowards brought knives and swords to Knightswood Park. We still chased them. Black neck cowardly hun tramps.
