There are two ways you can announce a shirt sponsor deal, one like it’s “worth up to £10m over three years”, or one like “worth £10m over three years”. Some commercial deals in football are performance related. If you win the league, qualify for the Champions League group stages, or even Europa League group stages, the value of the deal increases due to the added exposure and brand-related coverage.
Celtic will get nothing for winning the league, because that factor is already built into expectations. They will, however, earn commercial bonuses for Champions League qualification.
Newco’s reported three year kit deal is the “worth up to” variety. Bonuses will be dependent on winning the league, qualifying for the Europa League and Champions League group stages. Who knows, Dave King might come across with the money needed to get there…………
Less than three hours to go!

The most important aspect of Sevco getting a deal with Hummel (if the deal actually exists) is to stop ring fencing by creditors who are seeking payment.
With that deal in place, even if it is exagerated out of proportion by the PR machine, Sevco can argue in court that they are not trading whilst insolvent.
If I were the creditors I would be insisting on fully & independently audited accounts to prove they have the funds. The unaudited versions hide more than they tell. Despite all they have hidden the accounts tell a woeful story.
Force them to have the accounts audited!
Hummel a big sponsor in the world of handball. So perfect fit for huns.
Also a big sponsor for the Afghanastian Football Federation. More serendipity as the huns could supply the pre-match Escape Goats for ritual slaughter.
On the subject of ritual slaughter – embdy see the game on Sunday…?

They lost their hegemony that time they played Brechin.
Another old one for you. A monkey goes into a pub and orders a pint. Barman assumes that the monkey is stupid so charges him a tenner. (See what I did there?) Monkey drinks his pint and leaves. The same thing happens for the next few days and when the monkey comes in for the 7th day running, the barman decides it’s time to start a conversation. “We don’t get many monkeys in here.” The monkey answers, “Aye, nae wonder at a tenner a pint.”

Remember their famous formula… something like “For every £10m we say stuff is worth, its really £5” not sure I got that right but its Close

Can’t get enough of a great thing ?????
Guys being only a few months old when the Lion’s won the European cup
, I love the story’s from the older, wiser gents among our support. I used to rely on my old man for story’s of yesteryear players etc., but he has now passed away, so I love reading from you guys.
On that note about my dad, I had the pleasure of going to the games and enjoying a pint or 6 before and after the games before he left us, one of the best things I have ever done.
So John Clark was a good reader of a game and hard as nails, explains why he was in that team.

Starry and Kikinthenakas
I left OLHS in 1974. My sis was at Holy Cross from ’71 to ’76.
I knew quite a few lads from Carfin.
My favorite Kenny Miller story –
Witnessing a youth shouting — ” Look it’s Kryten ” as Kenny walked through Royal Exchange Sq.
Level 5 say Sevco are going for back to back empty trophy cabinets.

In those days, boys from all over Lanarkshire attended OLHS. Bobby Murdoch travelled from Cambuslang and Big Billy from Bellshill. John Cushley was the year behind Billy.
3 lions from the one school. Not too shabby!

I vividly remember Mr Scally, the rector, warning pupils from thon balcony above the quadrangle that nobody had permission to go to Milan for the 1970 EC final. Of course, most of the senior lads were on study leave for their Highers and if they had no exams, what was to stop them going? I was in 1st year then so I had no choice but to obey. (My folks couldn’t have afforded it anyway.) What about you?
David66
I cannot really remember John Clark playing for Celtic. My dad really rated him though. He would say that JC had the biggest big toe in football. No forward could ever get by his big toe. Met John Clark once. Could not believe how much of a humble gentleman he was.

Memories!! :))
I remember Scally and the Quad very well!! And a load of the mad teachers, especially Mallon and Hiram. Never made the final, I was one of the punters who HAD to study, an like you, couldnae afford it.
Overall the school was great as was the education.

You’re on fire today. ?
I think that they are announcing £15 M up front so they get a Euro license shows they have enough money to get through next season are in not in too much debt,,.. since SFA don’t actually check to see if its true they will get awarded it
Starry Plough @ 1250,
Still often see JC at The Grotto.
Such a humble, but far from Ordinary guy.
HAIL! HAIL!

Hello again all you young rebels.
Just back from our training session with our young bhoys and a very
interesting night it was.
We’ve adopted the drills which the Celtic coaches showed us and to
be honest i thought they were too complicated for some of our new
bhoys just learning the game, but they are thriving with them, and
after a discussion about the weekends 5-5 result and why we didn’t
play that well, our captain said ” because we didn’t play the way the
Celtic coaches showed us ”
Well for me and our head coach that was a heart bursting moment
you could not wipe the smile of our faces, so pwoud…so pwoud 8-))))
OZ TIMS
This Saturday night the Grand Hotel Main St Mornington will host us
again for the winning of the league title versus Hibs no ifs or buts 9.30
k.o. and if you’re sober enough our big Celtic Sun. carried over from
last week will be back in our usual ice cream and jelly parlour the next
day at the publican ( The Bay Hotel ) bhoy these Aussies love a Celtic
party.
Lovely weekend expected a sunny 27 degs , not bad approaching
winter and another title in the bag, i feel a hangover coming on 8-((
H.H Mick
Bhoy those Aussies love to party
MARADOMINIC
Glad someone else agrees with me regarding those white long
sleeves under the short sleeved hoops, thought it was just me
being picky, but i go of my head with any of our bhoys if they
have any different coloured stuff on their strips ( socks ) i think
they just want to stand out from the rest of the team.
H.H Mick
