    GLENDALY ..

Do you know where he was born and where he was buried ?

I know of 2 fans who hadn’t been to a game for years had tickets, fair play, but also one of my best mates travelled all over Spain with his dad, who has now left us, he told me stories of sleeping in bus stations or wherever, it is my biggest football regret, the day Alan Thompson notched at Ibrox everybody and their granny in the pub bought the £299 deals……on the up side the whole of Coatbridge was empty but my young niece & nephew were only about 10 & 11 and they loved it they watched the game with me in our local hotel that was all ticket……not as good as other people’s stories but it’s mine

    Hail Hail

  3. Malta Mick Fgura on

Justafan….booked 7 nights Torrlemenos prior to 2nd leg in Portugal… Best move ever..No ticket, left brother and wee cuz ( from Strathaven) at fanzome..Walked to ground, had a wee chat with a couple of polis at one of the locked gates, subsequently gate opened waved along in, with best wishes… If you don’t try, you don’t get !!!!

“The Newco Manifestation will be back next year”.

Back? You’d be as well calling them Rangers mate.

  5. Greeninbingley on

Do people really think that the 11 players who walked out onto the turf in Malmo 4 days ago just decided ‘feck it – this is intimidating – I’m not going to try a leg’?

‘Gutless’ is a horrible insult to thow at someone.

I don’t think they were gutless on Tuesday. The tactics didn’t work. Big hitters had an off day. We were out-thought. We had no plan B.

But I don’t believe that any man on Tuesday was ‘gutless’.

We are kids at heart, as soon as I got a winner that was me happy, like yourself my first thought on a Saturday is to pick a donkey, am 45 but still get up early on a Saturday as if I am off school, it’s now get your NAP picked

As Smokey Robinson sang in 1970…’I try to keep my sadness hid ‘

It’s all a charade with the huns, and the msm who dug their grave.

They’ve now got a stigma to deal with and I’ll be long gone before it’s ever exorcised.

  8. BEAMISHISMYPINT

Just reading a poster above, explaining that there is no option to buy Blackett & he’s just a loan. If that’s true, then what’s the point in bringing in him in at all. What’s the point in developing talent for other clubs. You’re so right, it’s a deeply flawed strategy as was proved last year.

  9. Gerryfaethebrig on

    Greenbingley

I don’t think they chucked it, but since they lost that goal in the 95thminute at Celtic Park their confidence was shoot, by the way the matter how much money you earn once their is doubt in your mind there will always be doubt……

Ajax Fenwrbache & Molde is their chance to ditch that doubt !

  10. Elbhoy

I point out the risks and the factors that cause them. That does not mean we shouldn’t take them but to ignore the possible consequences of failure is stupid. Sevco just happen to be the nearest example.

We should be doing what we can to reduce the risks and reduce the impact of failure. Change the seasons, advocate mini qualifying leagues (we would have qualified ).

There is also a premium on getting good players to Scotland which should be knocked off the wage difference.

Having said that I don’t understand why teams with a much smaller budget do better than us although they tend to sparkle then dim then disappear……

  11. Re our defence being weaker than last year…

First 10 competitive games…13 goals lost.

    W4 L4 D2

Jason was not regarded as ‘the answer’ either!

    Memory? What’s that?

    HH lol

  12. Careful With That Tax, Moonbeams on

You must admit .. There’s no feeling like playing them .. Buzzing out your nut if we turn them over .. Hurting if we lose ..

But, be honest .. How many of you have hurt as bad against Malmo .. Our pathetic display .. That’s football .. Remember .. 6-2 the high .. 5-1 the low .. The adventure after that ..

    That’s Celtic

  13. Theglasgowcelticway.

    “Yeah, back”.

Well, why not just call them Rangers then, instead of ‘Newco Manifestation’.

Has this club ever played in the top division of Scottish football?

Been told that we’re confident we’ll sign jozo simonuvic.

Anyone know if he’s any good?

  15. Gerryfaethebrig on

    CWTTM

Malmo was one my lowest because I knew we were better, Rangers/Sevco/Whoever we beat one of them 2-0 going on whatever score you want….. You mention 5-1 & 6-2 both were false, they couldn’t afford any of those players, it was the Bank of Scotland who we defeated / defeated us

Correct, Just wondering if he’s any good?

  17. Greeninbingley on 29th August 2015 9:53 pm

‘‘Gutless’ is a horrible insult to thow at someone.”

You are of course correct, and I apologise to the GB for suggesting they were gutless (though they seemed to sh*t themselves when the booing started).

I will however stick with my view that they were pathetic.

What a way to show your support of the team.

  18. viewfaethewindae

He’s the player PL was in Croatia to sign last week

Very highly rated, and apparently no.1 CH target ?

  19. viewfaethewindae on

Just looking for some stability in the centre of our defence, every time the ball went into our box today we hit the panic button.

  20. CWTTM

I miss us playing against Deidco about as much as Carl Lewis missed running against Ben Johnson after the 1988 Olympic games.

  21. viewfaethewindae

We need to get the new guy in this window and let him build a partnership with Boyata asap, it took Jason and Virgil a while and here we are at square one again.

Like the sound of the Croatian boy, the usually touch with good skills from down there..

    HH

  22. Transfer markt website – values him at £1.4m

We apparently offered €4m – if stories are to be believed ?

A few clubs allegedly after him

It is a country where we should be targeting the best youth talent coming through, generally talented players

    Hail Hail

  23. Gerryfaethebrig on

    Cowibhoy

Stop spreading rumours that PL is trying to get good players to Celtic Park !

By the way well chuffed wee Shug is on the mend

    Hail Hail

Having said that I don’t understand why teams with a much smaller budget do better than us although they tend to sparkle then dim then disappear……”

They sparkle then dim then disappear because they don’t win always their respective leagues so therefore don’t qualify for the qualifiers year on year. Most other clubs from smaller nations work on similar budgets to each other. If ours was in line with the likes of Aberdeen, then us doing likewise (dimming) would be acceptable.

On pointing out the risks – This is fine but I think the majority already know what they are.

Would you say a high percentage of CQN’s posters are advocating spending monies we don’t have?

Personally I don’t see any, but perhaps their are a very small minority who do. Though by comparison to this small number the fall back Sevco position, seems to be present all too often.

Just my observation but continuing to peddle this scenario, comes accross as scaremonger and is used to shut off legitimate concerns (not aimed at you Aukdheid) & this for me at least leaves a bad taste.

    Goodnight and HH!

  25. Ronny says we’re back on track.

    All is well.

    Thank goodness for that.

For a moment there, I feared we we were European also-rans.

    Magic.

    Phew.

So what Group stage are we in?

  26. Apologies Auldheid for bad typing in that last post… iPad, lighting & just generally knackered issues! :)
