ODSONNE EDOUARD has agreed a five-year deal with Crystal Palace in a deal that could net Celtic £18.5million.

The up-front transfer agreed between the clubs is £14million, but that will grow by £4.5million with add-ons linked into appearances and performances, according to a report on Sky Sports News.

Edouard’s basic wage will be £70,000 per week and that, too, will rise to bonuses. Originally, the 23-year-old striker was reportedly demanding £80,000, but has settled for a compromise with the London side.

The flamboyant forward cost the Hoops a club record £9million when Brendan Rodgers signed him from Paris Saint-Germain in June 2018 and the French giants have a 40 per cent sell-on clause on profits of any future transfer, as CQN reported this morning.

Patrick Vieira, the Selhurst Park side’s manager, sets his sights on his compatriot and stepped up his bid as the 11pm Premier League deadline loomed.

The former France Under-21 ace, who scored 86 goals for Celtic, is standing by to make his debut against Spurs a week on Saturday.

Edouard joins former Celtic team-mate Kristoffer Ajer in England’s capital city after the Norwegian international defender moved to Brentford in a £13.5million switch last month. The final fee could rise to as high as £17.5million, according to some estimations.
