Fabulous performance, keeping your discipline in big games is vital, McInnes and his team failed in that today and it cost them any slim chance they may have had.
Playing very well helps too!
Well done Lenny and the Bhoys!

Only three nil against nine men? Lenny out!
Just kidding. Well done Bhoys!

I also quite enjoyed the shot of the current and present Scotland managers at a big showpiece of Scottish football, they really looked to be enjoying the occasion.

Obviously red cards were a factor but apart from that thought there was much more purpose about our play from the start.
Forget about the Cup now, hopefully today will get us back in the groove for wrapping up the League.

Well looks as though Lenny knows better, would we have won
more comfortably with the loanees ? who knows but from what
i seen big Simo had a great game Johnny Hayes sublime, at the
end of a great day for me that eleven players on the park today
played for the Celtic, our club, our family, that will do for me.

The first sheep red carded Dominic Ball has a da called Tim, wtf, he did spend a season over at hades though. the 2nd has a hun da and uncle and mcsleekit still refers tae naesurname as the gaffer, so what went wrong with Anthony Docherty might be the influence of mccall and mcsleekit or even slevenin in his career

OnenightinLisbon, good post, well said.
Both central defenders were excellent today, stepping into midfield and further into open space.
Brilliant result today and im sure Mr Ross would be hoarse from shouting red card red card constantly today.
Wont he?

Well done the good ghuys!
Good disciplined performance against thugs. Some of the reasons Scottish football is in the gutter; managers who don’t know how to win a game playing football but just by stopping the other team playing by ANY means (McInnes), referees who game manage thus allowing thuggery which in turn makes them believe the above (Thompson and his ilk) and so called football experts who explain away and seem to enjoy thuggery against Celtic (Craigan).
Onwards to the Rebel Treble!
Hopefully Christie will make a quick recovery

It’s Johnny Hayes in front of Scott Sinclair for me in the run in. JH showed purpose and directness in contrast to SS hesitant and lacking confidence.

Was quite surprised about your appraisel of big Jozo, i think he
is a good defender but has issues with fitness, but i’m obviously
not an expert as i’m on record as saying Paul Elliot looked like
Bambi on ice the first time i watched him preseason in Germany.

Not read back yet but from what I saw of the game mcinnes tactics came back to bite him on the bum.
Only got a feed about 25 mins in and commentators were saying it was clear Aberdeen tactics were to disrupt celtics rhythm by committing fouls to break up the game and not let them get flowing.
Not surprised they had 2 men sent off. Ferguson in particular looked as if he was trying for a red card with persistent fouling.
It would also not surprise me if mcinnes chucks it at season end.
I agree totally. Johnny was exciting out there today while SS never looked as if he was going to beat his man.

Hard to judge performances when playing against 9 men, but not one Celtic player had a “bad” game. Pleased for Jonny Hayes, probably played himself into a cup final place. Lustig had a really good game, getting foward to support the midfield. Brown controlled the middle. Well done to our club.
Aberdeen were worse then poor. The tried to physically kick Celtic of the pitch. Terrible lack of discipline from the management down. Fergusons tackle was a pice of sheer cowardice.
Wrap up the league, collect the cup and Santa Ponsa for the holidays.

I’ll be honest I am sh*ttin myself before EVERY Celtic match
Today i wasn’t. Which was a little unnerving, but it proved to be correct

Lewis Ferguson took the field looking for a fight. Looks a bitter wee article and was lucky to stay on as long as he did.
FOUR Sheep SENT AFF Today…I can only imagine that both mcInness and Docherty who were sent to the stand must having been arguing about the Two Red Cards to their players….BIG Question if Im right…..what the Feck did they have to argue about exactly ?
Ref Thmson, was doing his best to keep Ferguson on the Pitch..until he wiped out Big Tam with that two footed leg breaker..and then had no choice but to show red card…terrible refereeing, as was celtic being denied a clear Penalty at 1-0 when thomson gave a free kick AGAINST Big Eddy…when HE was the one being fouled, when the Sheep player decided to try on Big Eddy’s Celtic Shirt….while Big eddy was STILL using it ???
Well done to the Potential History Bhoys…Im so proud and happy….Pub Time to down 15 Beers methinks.

The Celts looked good from the start and attacked with a will. Aberdeen’s crude tactics disrupted the flow at times but the result, even if all 22 had stayed on the pitch, was never in doubt.

Looking at Christie injury again, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a fractured cheek, It was an assault that if it happened off the field would warrant a jail term.
