    Winning the league in the present set up ain’t really an achievement in my eyes since losing it would surely be a sacking offence.

     

    From my vantage point it seems that we have stalled and gone backwards since the Cup Semi against ICT. Until them things seemed to be coming together and the Treble looked very definitely “on”. However since that disastrous second half at Hampden it appears that the players have gradually lost belief in the manager and his system. Without doubt the bonus for qualifying for the CL would have been massive for our players and the loss of it will be keenly felt. Given that we blew the CL in much the same fashion that we blew the game against ICT it would not surprise me if the players felt the manager was more to blame than they were!

    Janko plays against Malmo….has a decent game when most others don’t

     

     

    He’s on the bench because Lustig is back ….yet … Efe comes on at RB when the opposition are reduced to ten men …and more space available for Janko’s strong driving runs …..I can’t understand this substitution nor why Commons doesn’t get some game time

    Never saw the game yesterday as was away for the weekend, so cannot comment on performance other than the obvious disappointment that we lost, but it is just one game.

     

     

    The worry for me is no clean sheets in last 7 games and I don’t see this stopping on Thursday. We need to start playing with a settled back 4 subject to being injury free

     

     

    The sieve is back at the moment CSC.

    SFTB & BSR-Really good posts,although don’t agree with some of the points(if you catch my drift).There are always trolls and constant malcontents on here when the chips are down.Going by the reasonable ,regular bhoys on here(i know,i know),if RD was away in the morning,a small percentage would be on here backing him IMO.I think we all know ,the root problem at Celtic is the Lawwell/Park axis ,they have had more failures than success.HH

    Janko should have come on for Lustig. Teaming up Ambrose and Boyata on the right side of the defence is a recipe for disaster. Both liable to an error, both erratic in passing and tackling. Commons, who I think has been very poor this season probably due to a lack of a pre season, should have been on at half time for Rogic who was hopelessly out of his depth. dont understand why Allan wasn’t even on the bench when the like of Rogic started and McGregor is on the bench. We were crying out for someone creative in midfield, an alternative to hump it long to Griffiths.

    I forgot to say, I caught up with The Jam concert and documentary.

     

    I thoroughly enjoyed both, particularly the documentary which was educational.I spent 2 summers in North London so down in the tube station always resonates with me. Still one of my favourite songs.

    The Jam documentary was excellent. Would have loved to have got to the About The Young Idea exhibition at Somerset House but it’ll be finished by the next time I’m in London

    I would gladly buy you a beer on the 10/10, I am committed and looking forward to it, am a bit scared meeting some of the big hitters of our CQN but as a wee bhoy fae the scheme hopefully I will not be too overawed…..

     

     

    Putting names to blog names is pretty outstanding, always in a good way, I am sure 99.9% of the posters want the best for Celtic as for the negative brigade some of my best pals are never happy about anything Celtic (and they are Celtic fans)

    I agree regarding the SPL title, and the wrong system is the still the wrong system, even when you can swipe un resourced, but well organized sides like Aberdeen.

     

     

    We could slaughter SPL sides more easily, if we gave them the ball, and invited them to score?

     

     

    It’s not happened at Celtic because of the Celtic ethos! but ‘up and at em’ football, is a Euro non starter, especially in the 2m tops transfer market.

     

     

    The ICT game was a catastrophe in more ways than one, and interestingly the it’s first time I’ve heard of it described as a pivotal game, you could be right.

     

     

    I read on here yesterday that ‘there’s a malaise about the place’ thought it was funny, it’s supposed to be, a buzz about the place.

     

     

    A one tactic team won’t cut it, the set up is wrong, just how wrong we’ll find out over the piece, starting soon, and he’s going to teach the new sieve, how to defend corners before Thursday.
