We are through but a truly appalling performance. A creative midfielder is desperately needed in this Celtic side. We struggle badly when teams sit in against us

Bloody well take that after the 2nd half performance. Neil needs to look into the lack of killer instinct within this group of players. I’m not interested in feckin trebles, but if we play a strong team in a domestic game then I expect them to be up for it.

…sometimes you have to grind it out…well done by Arbroath, but we tend to play down to our opponents at times…the bhoys just didn’t seem to have a good feel for the ball tonight…on to the next…HH

Arsenal were beaten by Bradford last night.Paul67 pointed out that all the teams Celtic get treat it as a cup final. That is as it should be. The score still reads 1-0.
You lot can be so harsh,,,,,early doors we looked good, any eleven players can give you a game.
Job done, no injuries and its still a coold couuunterrreeey.

That was very enjoyable – good traditional cup tie. Nervous second half, wee team upped their game, 100% effort, unlucky perhaps to not get a break, but we are through.
Good stuff.

Some lads think we have a devine right to win every game. We don’t. At end of day any game is eleven v eleven. The team that wants it more and battles for everything always have a chance. Yes Arbroath should never be beating Celtic and Celtic should never be beating Barcelona.

Didn’t think Arbroath sat in against us , our first touch was poor and we didn’t play at a fast enough pace .
Arbroath deserve a great deal of credit for their performance tonight , just glad to be in next round .
