Well done to Tony Hamilton and his team at Celtic Charity as well as the 60,000 participants for a memorable weekend which confirmed the spirit and heritage of the club. It was great to see Martin O’Neill and Kenny Dalglish revel in, as well as so many of our more recent heroes, some of whom are aging better than others.
Credit also to the English Premier League players who turned up in such numbers, and who spent 85 minutes avoiding Bobo Balde, after Robert Pires ‘met’ the central defender early in yesterday’s game. For all the array of talent on show over the weekend to prize goes to Carlos Cuellar, who spent £11k at the charity auction in the Kerrydale Suite on Friday night, the biggest donor by some distance.
The wee guy from One Direction looked terrified from the moment he first flicked his hair on the touchline, and he was on the same team as Bobo. I’m sure he’ll recover quickly from his knock and enjoy telling the story for decades to come.
Henrik still has it, his movement was unmistakable but ‘Big Greenock’ looked like he was still 22.
The report by the Scottish Law Reporter yesterday that the Crown Office are in possession of material in which prosecutors refer to possible “discussions between former Police Officers employed by a media firm connected to Rangers FC and serving Police officers” moves the debate on recent well-publicised leaks onto a new level.
Charlotte Fakes has apparently been reported to police for inappropriately obtaining material. While this has yet to be established, the act of reporting the content as being inappropriately obtained, had the unintended consequence of confirming the authenticity of the material. All of which puts the content of said material under scrutiny.
Post-Leveson the media have been cautious on reporting Charlotte Fakes material without clear evidence that a crime had been committed by ‘victims’ of the leak. If the Crown Office have now acted, parts of the media still independent may be emboldened.
With Charlotte Fakes now as easy to find as Keyser Soze the direction of the police investigation will be difficult to predict.

Horrible news mate, poor kid,God bless him.
STV coverage of the game focused on the tackle on Louis.
Shocking.
Mind you, it confirms what I always say –
They are huns and they are hurting!!
Lovin’ it!
VP
You settled in then?
When I saw that both teams played in Magners sponsored shirts, I assumed that the company had made a donation to the fund.

Ireland and Scotland were different parts of the one country back then. No difference in someone moving from say Dundee to Glasgow than Dungloe and Glasgow.
Also that was the first place the boat landed.
*hate tae be pedantic but the first place the boat landed was Greenock and then Dumbarton (which is why they both had a huge Irish population before stopping at the Broomielaw.
The boat originated at Westport stopping at Donegal and Derry on the way.
Just back up from Birmingham and have watched the recording of yesterday’s game. Greetin’ like a baby here. What a club and family we are. There is nowhere else like Celtic Park.
HAIL HAIL !!

A lot of posters on this site have made new homes for themselves on foreign shores.
Both permanently and temporarily. Myself included.
However by labelling us, that searched out a different life through emigration, and those people who fled famine and fatal poverty with the same title of economic migrant is deeply insulting and heartless.
At this point in time Irish emigration is taking off big time again after years of reversal.
Its quite easy for Irish people to get into Oz but not so for other nationalities.
Thats good for us but does it make it right

Was Martin Hannan’s mum Sadie from Levenvale? I’m thinking maybe not.

Haha they have lost the plot, and they call us paranoid haha HH
Geordie Munro (15:25), the question is…
If Celtic were in the EPL, would Ki, Hooper & Wanyama have chosen to move to Swansea, Norwich & Southampton ahead of staying at Celtic?
No, strike that. The question is more likely…
Would Celtic have chosen Stephen Ireland, Dimitar Berbatov and Yohan Cabaye ahead of Ki, Hooper and Wanyama?… because they (Celtic) would have had the option!
Cathal and Jude, what can I say to thank you wonderful bhoys? Thank you times 200. Got them on a double and two singles for a small wager. Dug me out a wee hole. What a magical site this is :-)
RE. Owen Coyle
No thanks had his chance thought he was better staying in engurland waiting for a big move, good Celtic man but not for me. Lennys here for 10 in a row HH
Luxembourg is normally a sleepy wee place – so imagine my surprise to jump off the bus after work and find 200 odd northern ireland supporters outside one of my local bars. had no idea they were playing here, so stopped to chat to them. Most of them were very friendly, but a couple of younger ned-types were proudly going on about having a ‘sash bash’ in the same (english) pub the night before…… how to make friends and influence people…..
