Well done to Tony Hamilton and his team at Celtic Charity as well as the 60,000 participants for a memorable weekend which confirmed the spirit and heritage of the club. It was great to see Martin O’Neill and Kenny Dalglish revel in, as well as so many of our more recent heroes, some of whom are aging better than others.
Credit also to the English Premier League players who turned up in such numbers, and who spent 85 minutes avoiding Bobo Balde, after Robert Pires ‘met’ the central defender early in yesterday’s game. For all the array of talent on show over the weekend to prize goes to Carlos Cuellar, who spent £11k at the charity auction in the Kerrydale Suite on Friday night, the biggest donor by some distance.
The wee guy from One Direction looked terrified from the moment he first flicked his hair on the touchline, and he was on the same team as Bobo. I’m sure he’ll recover quickly from his knock and enjoy telling the story for decades to come.
Henrik still has it, his movement was unmistakable but ‘Big Greenock’ looked like he was still 22.
The report by the Scottish Law Reporter yesterday that the Crown Office are in possession of material in which prosecutors refer to possible “discussions between former Police Officers employed by a media firm connected to Rangers FC and serving Police officers” moves the debate on recent well-publicised leaks onto a new level.
Charlotte Fakes has apparently been reported to police for inappropriately obtaining material. While this has yet to be established, the act of reporting the content as being inappropriately obtained, had the unintended consequence of confirming the authenticity of the material. All of which puts the content of said material under scrutiny.
Post-Leveson the media have been cautious on reporting Charlotte Fakes material without clear evidence that a crime had been committed by ‘victims’ of the leak. If the Crown Office have now acted, parts of the media still independent may be emboldened.
With Charlotte Fakes now as easy to find as Keyser Soze the direction of the police investigation will be difficult to predict.

I have always been confident that, at the end of the day, the Law would uncover, and deal with any corruption etc over the past 12+ years at ipox…..and that was, and is, why I want Celtic not to get involved…….the revelation today that some Police Officers (some retired and some still in the Force) confirms my contention ……. and this is only the ‘tip of the iceberg’……. “Truth and Justice will prevail”…..

Will do. Is it home game versus Ajax? I’m looking for Amsterdam ticket.
Setting Free The Bears
If you watched semifinal 1974 Germany : Poland you probably agree that the pitch was not fit for football.
It’s not true that the game was delayed becouse Poland did not want to play on water.
Why delayed?
First seconds of this video give explanation why the game was delayed.

Jan Tomaszewski had very short episode at Legia Warsaw. He was probably not enough good to stay :-) Clown? Maybe yes, maybe no. Controversial, that’s for sure. For a couple of years he active politician, MP. Sometimes controversial with his vews, very often says what many think but not one would say to the media.
All times hero is Kazimierz Dayna. He is for Legia who Jimmy Johnstone is for Celtic.
On September 1st we had 24th anniversary of Deyna tragic death in San Diego.
True genius in football. When with the ball, he looked like a guy who did not know what to do with it, looked completely lost. Then you could see him making wonderful pass for scoring oportunity.
Many big clubs wanted Deyna, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, AC Milan, Inter Milan, AS Monaco, Bayern Munich. Deyna was Legia Warsaw player who was visit card of Polish Army. As the player he was the officer of Warsaw Pact and could not move to play for the club from NATO country.
That all was stupid. The truth is that these Legia players from the past have never seen the gun, never wore army uniform.
I seem to remember the fire men pumping water off the pitch before west Germany played Poland in 74.
I was only seven right enough.

I watched the 1974 world cup story on bt sports yesterday and the conditions at some of the games looked awful. The west Germany v Poland game in particular should never have been played that night. There we’re fire engines using pumps to clear the pitch. On another note the final was notable for future Scotland legend (not really)berti vogts putting Johann cruyff in his back pocket for the whole game. Also playing for the Dutch was definite hoops legend wim Jansen with a new perm that he still had 24 years later when he joined Celtic. Good shows of football before the big bucks came in and pretty much turned it into a closed shop for the big boys.

Another FF plan to counter enemy activity:
“So what should we do?
The RFFF should fund an anti-dirty tricks campaign which will not only defend the club and support, it will plant a few powerful seeds of its own. To be clear, violence is off the agenda – it will always be off our agenda – but there are other ways to skin a cat and it’s time we started adopting them.
For very modest sums, the RFFF could fund a small group of dedicated fans who will act on behalf of club and support and effectively be a Rangers intelligence unit – and act appropriately as and when the need arises.”
————————————————-
funny on a hun-dread levels, and got to be a timposter, but best of all …….
why do they want to start adopting skinned cats ?
is it a mazonic thing.
Quite simply , Henrik is King, McCoist is a twat
…aye……………ranjurs intelligence unit?
( gotta be a Tim at it……………)

ive been mulling this over all day,
how much must some individuals really hate celtic that they would collude to this level of deception. media , journalists, referees, the sfa, media house, former and serving police.
i mean, all this just so 1 football team can benefit.
not for a moment would i suspect any of the celtic men i know be willing to compromise their own beliefs , honest and real integrity so that we could just beat them to the medals.
astounded of forehead just keeps coming back.
paranoid ? we wurny paranoid enough.

1965? Good year :-)
Kazimierz Deyna was famous for goals that he scored directly from the corner, also in international games. I said that when with the ball he looked like completely lost guy who does not know what to do next. That’s why his wonderful play was unpredictable. Famous for goals from corners and famous for doing rounds to the left or to the right when had the oposite player in front. He was doing this to wait for his partners going for better positions.
He is short clip with Deyna. It’s one from the series. If you watch it you will know what I’m talking about? His rounds, feints, style of play. He was penalty taker and if I remember correctly missed only one in his career.

Rangers in liquidation Q&A
What happens to the club’s history?
The Rangers Football Club PLC is a public limited company registered in Scotland (company number: SC004276) and was incorporated on 27 May, 1899. When the current company is officially liquidated, all of its corporate business history will come to an end.
When this happened to Airdrieonians in 2002, all of the trophies, titles and records associated with the club were discontinued and a new club, Airdrie United FC, took over. Airdrieonians’ official history ended in 2002, then Airdrie United’s took over.
The answer lies principally in the eye of the beholder. Some supporters will view the new Rangers as the same Rangers, while others will feel the old Rangers no longer exist.
Great clip Zbyszek, Boniek and Lato weren’t too bad either !
Zbyszek
Kazimierz Deyna was a lovely player. Grzegorz Lato wasn’t too bad either.
The best poster I ever saw was when Jim Kerr and his crew played at the bigotdome, simply said……

Thanks for posting the Kazi Deyna 74 World Cup action. What a great player he was – is there any player who plays now in midfield who is such an artist?

Yes, both Lato and Boniek were good players. Boniek player later, after Deyna. Different times but Deyna was much better than Boniek.
I remember I read discussion on here about the players from 70ties. Few tens of players mentioned but not one from Poland, who in 1974 beat Argentina, Italy, Sweden, Yugoslavia and Brasil.
Lato was best scorer with 7 goals, second best were Polish Andrzej Szarmach and Dutch Johan Neeskens.
Dark times of the Communism meant that Polish players could not move to the western clubs at all or after they were 30 or 32.

When did the Ramsden Cup become the Scottish Challenge Cup?
Anytime I happen apon a report of a Sevco match in this NewCup it is labelled the Scottish Challenge Cup.
Are “Ramsden Cup” and “Scottish Challenge Cup” the same cup?
Did one die and the other is a pretendy cup?
We deserve to know.
In fact we want to know the names of those involved in the switcheroo…
Or is it simply because, every once in a while, a fish supper CAN in fact be challenging?
..just saw the pic on etims of the nuckleshuffling going on between a pair of knuckledraggers – Supper Ally an’ The Haircut That Time Forgoat……….
Sad.
The Ramsden Cup doesn’t sound dignified enuff……………hence the Scoddish Challenge Cup………concoction.
Never fear tho’ the History of the Ramsdens Cup is being held in an incubator…..
