Celtic cruise past relegation battlers

757

Celtic didn’t need to get out of second gear to overcome Dunfermline yesterday, making it one of the most comfortable performances of the season.  After the festive season games against Rangers in the previous two seasons we played the team bottom of the league, Falkirk and Hamilton, both of whom were subsequently relegated, but we dropped points on each occasion.  Teams fighting for SPL survival are filled with players fighting for money to pay their mortgages, no result can be assured.

Dunfermline are everyone’s hot tip for relegation but they are still missing several players and having watched Hibs capitulation against Hearts yesterday I reckon nothing is clear cut yet.  Hibs are in trouble.

  1. bobbyrfc- Absolutely, and Mark Guidi will also be reading on here, I did say he was one of the better journos, his work on getting Steven Craven’s story out there was instrumental in dismantling McDonald/Dallas/Peat last season but tonight I thought he was absolutely woeful, just making up stories to placate the Rangers fans- assuring them they could use some of the Jela money to pick up a few SPL plodders to “get them over the line” to the SPL title.

He is dancing to someone’s tune- of that there is no doubt.

  2. Goldstar

Exactly that’s why we should just leave them all to their hun nightly love in!

Remind me how many ex Celtic players there are on Clyde and Scotland???

Guidi is wrong again. No settlement or negotiations underway. Where does he get this rubbish? Or did he just make it up?

  4. How are RFC going to manage the press when/if they get an offer for jellyfish? are they going to bring transcripts of faxes, witness statements for phone conversations – I can’t wait, it’s going to be hilarious !

    A plea to fellow Bhoys.

Dont listen to the phone in shows. Leave the blue nose pundits to it, you’ll feel so much better for it.

These shows, like the scottish tabloids, are exclusively aimed at keeping the mongrels happy.

Biased, agenda driven and so anti celtic it’s untrue.

Leave them to it, there’s no need for us to get involved.

There are times when it is instructive to hear the propaganda. Tonight was one of them. From the euphoria of the takeover, they are reduced to what was, this evening, a remarkable effort to raise morale for long months of torment ahead.

I thought it gave a fantastic insight into how desperate the mood is.

  7. I heard from an impeccable source that the aforementioned Lovin’ Cup was the preferred receptacle for Mr Struth’s favourite ‘top set’ when he used to take the the rowing training…….Aye.

Perhaps that explains Duffield going slightly green aboot the gills when he had his first quaff…..

  8. nite guys – who knows tomorrow the famous rfc could have signing torres, silva, kompany, milner, barry etc… well its a good way of raising money having all those players sign tops.

and just think when murray said for every 5 the tic spent i’ll send a tenner (he fogot to mention how he did it and nobody i.e. media had the balls to ask)

  9. Goldstar, Delahunt as a presenter, and talking in a professional capacity of a talkshow host, is hopeless. He nevrr ever questions the co presenters, never asks them to back up anything and always allows them to hide behind the “we are media and you callers dont know our business”. Even the Sheelagh woman at leasts challenges the guests.

Delahunt is supposedly head and makes all the decisions. He brought Dalziel in. He got rid of Walker. He ran an old firm show with Dalziel and Wishart as his guests.

Wasn’t there a Celtic site which, some years ago, INVENTED a player in the Rangers youth team and then got one of these ridiculous hacks to big him up on the air?

    I remember something like that.

James, I used to hold a similar view. Listened virtually every night and phoned in a fair number of times.

For every night that you feel tonight was, there are many, many more nights when the anti celtic bias glows brightly and callers are held up to ridicule.

For anyone wanting to get one over on them, the best and only way is to switch them off.

Let the pundits and their mongrel listeners chat among themselves.

Enjoyed posts referring to the Bisley Bar in Clydebank.

What an institution & how many memories.

I don’t suppose many people will remember a young part-time barman in this hallowed institution who went on to become the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police & was made a knight of the realm by our Gracious Majesty.

Just one more example of how the cream of the Donegal diaspora made Clydebank such a jewel in the crown of our adopted land.

Dont know if we could afford the guy but a striker who I think would run riot in the SPL and would also be good for our youngsters and also good in Europe is Yakuba at Blackburn.Oh well it costs nothing to dream.H.H.

My pub was The Seven Seas at the bottom of Kilbowie Road, it had seven big fancy windows depicting each sea. The bar was men only as this was the sixties and seventies, but at weekends they had an upstairs lounge where men had to be accompanied by women to get in !

I’m off to Egypt in a few days to celebrate my 50th and just began the ironing for the holidays. I decided to have Guinness for a change and knew I had a box outside. Now the box was outside before the Edinburgh area was belted with 80mph winds and my carryoot is all over the back garden.

Can only find one tin, ah well just like Rangers all my hopes blown up :-)

Bhoywithseethrueyes……..you are, of course, correct..as is Bobby CFC …….. and I wouldn’t even think about discussing anything with those snyde cretins, but Terry was excellent…he had me laughing my head off…….it was sobvious he was winding them up, and they took the bait big time…….what a laugh…

It was so obvious tonight that they were all hurting at our sudden ‘resurrection’…(from having 10 men injured)….

My prediction is that they will not sign one player this ‘window’….
