    Excathedra

The normally mild mannered me was raging with the non performance of James Forrest last Wednesday and today.

Money for nothing and the chics for free.

    YNWA

  2. Surprise, surprise, ExCathedra44 turns up to do the only thing he appears to be capable of doing: criticising James Forest. Poor show, but typical.

  3. Thanks and praise.

Thanks to the weather Gods for making sure that there was sunshine west of Dundee.

Thanks to the Tata motor company and Goodyear for allowing me to make it that far.

Thanks to ? For arranging the Champions breakfast, and thanks to all the fine CQN’ers for your pre-match company, especially the lovely ladies who improved the view immeasurably.

Thanks to all who ate or tried the Rowies. If there’s a rash of tummy-aches, you can contact my Lawyer. His name is Mike. Some of you have met him. ?

Thanks to JJ Hot Smoked and Delaneys Dunky for ensuring that none of them went to waste – the former for eating them and the latter for making sure the local wildlife had the pleasure of experiencing N.E. Scotlands favourite breakfast snack ( it also means I can now admit to Leaving at least one Glasgow bird with a swollen belly ).

Thanks to those who greeted me like an old friend at The Corner, especially the ever-lovely Dena, who is always a ray of sunshine, whatever the weather.

No Thanks to Celtic for selling me a seat in 402 where there was no view at all of the 6 yard box, but thanks to whoever didn’t turn up for seat Z15, where i had a completely unrestricted view of the whole park.

No thanks to the team for another lacklustre performance, but thanks to them for every game that mattered this season – the hard work was done before today, and will hopefully be completed next week.

Thanks to the bang-average shay logan ( so average he doesn’t deserve capitals ) for being a f****** dick, as one of our company this morning might have said – and trying to take the gloss off 7 in a row – chalk that up as another in a long line of failures, of which you are the biggeat, Shayleum. A serial runner-up. Enjoy it. You get what you deserve.

Thanks to all the Celtic fans who i passed, or passed me on the way up the road, every one of which had a huge smile and seemed to have enjoyed the day, despite the result of the game.

Finally, thanks to the big man upstairs for allowing me to watch my team as often as i did this season. It hasn’t always been easy on the eye, but it is always a pleasure to be inside Celtic Park, and I know I’m blessed to be a Celt in times like this

Poor show is why I wrote.!! I always give credit when due as I do criticise him.

He has the ability,I watch every game home and away, and sorry but his total commitment is used sparingly.

You say its typical but did not say it was not accurate.

    About opinions I guess.

  5. Ex Cathedra 44,

Yet to see you ever praise James Forest. There have been plenty of opportunities this season, but there has been little evidence of praise from yourself. A poor performance and you will revert to type. Hopefully next Saturday he will produce as good a performance as he produced in the earlier League Cup Final.

  6. On the basis of nothing at all I wager we have the worst goals per corner ratio than any other team in the history of football. Hh

Callum’s booking today for pulling a Dons player back . Last Wednesday , the Kille left back pulls Patrick back , no booking . Scottish refs , they are so goofy.

I’ve just saw Shinnie’s tackle on Broonie close up , another tackle on our leader deserving of a red card.

  10. I hope Brendan Rodgers has plan B for next season,Plan A this season at times just hasn’t worked, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen,we were very poor,Devries, Gamboa,Lustig, Armstrong, Dembele,Allan,Cifti, Roberts, Sinclair,Ralston,Commper, nearly all of them will.leave in the summer,a few out on loan,

  11. J Mc C – no really fussed. Getting train into Kings X. Would be good to watch it somewhere with fellow Tim’s and a bit of a sing song!!!

I’d advise not watching the interview Shinnie gave after the game, pathetic, but only in this backwater of football is that acceptable

Not sure how to delve into archives,or any of that clever stuff, to assure you I have recognised significant games, but if he does the business I will be delighted, as my main interest is the success of Celtic.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all view things differently.

Lets hope for a Cup win Saturday irrespective of team selection.

  17. Evening Marc/ Jobo!

What can I say? More often than not it’s an injury time goal (after cashout) that gubs my line. Delighted with the win – thought I was out of it after Ross Co conceded a 92nd minute equaliser.

Commiserations to the 6 Bhoys that made up the Magnificent 7 – it’s been a good competition and for that – my thanks to CRC/ Jobo for the hard work they put into organising and running LMS.

As for 7 – it kind of figures in much of my life supporting Celtic; the most entertaining ball wizard I was privileged to see – Jinky, the goal scoring phenomenon – Henrik, goals in a League Cup Final and now my second 7-in-a-row. Today makes 70 Title and Cup wins in my lifetime……………..

Maybe the Lord was right – and on the 7th Day…………….

Cheers Ghuys – got there without Sevco picks – many thanks again. H!H!

    thanks for the reply

    anecdotally IMHO

I think Paddy went public a week and a bit early, unless its a plot between us and Manchester City to tie him down permanently ( that was mine, EuroChamp67’s and Bada Bing’s theory anyway )

Maybe, we’re hoping against hope that Paddy’s ship hasn’t sailed

James Forrest’s enigmatic winger contribution will always divide Celtic supporters opinion, that’s supporters for you, and enigmatic stars for you. Jock Stein occasionally would unexpectly drop Jimmy Johnstone? and Davy Provan is still yet, to get past Doug Rougvie.

Wide left and Scott Sinclair again IMHO is a ship that definitely sailed, I posted around Christmas that BR would need to reassess that one, and on one occasion today when put clean through on goal, he decided to try and beat an imaginary left back?

Any one of them could win the Cup for Celtic next week

    – those are Brendan’s cards

The footage of Tommy’s goals today was magnificent especially as it showed my two favourite goals he scored , our third in our league winning game at Tannadice in 1981 and his beautifully placed goal in our 5 1 win at Tynecastle in 1984.

Some great photos on Celtic Underground Twitter of yesterday’s memorial at Tommy’s grave. Andy Walker is in them.

Don’t give up on on Sinky Bhoy yet, Mr Rosie Webster was born to wear the hoops, he, like many of them have been on the go since June’17, not sure how many games Scott played with Swansea, Chelsea or whoever else before he pitched up at CELTIC PARK but he has played non-stop for us in the last 24months…. Brendan relies on the players he trusts and since his Swansea days he rates our Scott S

Of course opinion will always be diverse.

Tommy Callaghan springs to mind,Jock Stein always stood by him.

The one I always remember was ( in my opinion) the only man Danny McGrain had a problem with, and that was Arthur Graham a big Celtic fan as it happens.
