I recall him being interviewed and the person said Parkhead, Fergus shot him down saying Parkhead is an area of Glasgow, we are at Celtic Park. Or words to that affect.
I have to be honest growing up, I was always going to Parkheid, now I say Celtic Park. I think it ties in better with the Celtic Way etc.

I thought to myself in Paradise tòday that our players were not trying too hard today. They were saving themselves for next Saturday. The 11 players who start next Saturday will be talked about in 100 years time, if they create the record of a double treble.

Good Evening All.
Shame about the result today but in the great scheme of things the loss was of no consequence.
On to the cup final next week.
Today I was selling the Celtic Charity Foundation badges inside the North Stand.
By the time most people get there they have already bought a badge from someone else outside but I am given the job of bawling my wears ( as opposed to – oh never mind) and persuading stragglers to buy a badge.
I was, as usual, heavily engaged in this Enterprise when I came upon Papa John of this parish, or should I say he came upon me. he told me straight that I had missed my vocation in life and that I should be doing something else for a living as my talents were wasted in my current employment.
When I asked what I should be doing he replied:
“You should be working for ………….. Donald Trump!”
Well, I would no more work for Trump than take a job at Ibrox and was left somewhat speechless at such a wild suggestion. I ask you!
Anyway, it was a good laugh.
On a separate note I have had a table of ten cancel for the One Night in Lisbon Dinner on 25th May. The party reserving it can’t come now due to family illness so if anyone wants to come to a party on “Lisbon Night” then give me a shout jjoe88@hotmail.co.uk

Champions League seeding
With Liverpool and Madrid both qualifying automatically for the Champions League group stages, it doesn’t matter who wins the Champions League final – Czech champions elevated to groups directly and Celtic will be seeded in all 4 Champions League qualifying rounds.
Also, seeded clubs playing 2nd leg at home only applies to first post-group stage ties. We played Rosenborg and Astana at home first last summer.

Much the same, I much prefer Celtic Park, as Parkhead has far too many Iain Ferguson’s in the surrounding areas :-)
When punters go to the Forge do they go to parkhead ? Rubbish analogy, but Celtic Park resides in Parkhead, and Parkheid the area should be grateful for that and embrace it :-)

Delighted to win 7 in a row.
However once again we ruin the event and for me the conclusion to an ever present game season went flat.
Its a sad reflection that we are depending upon numerous dafties suggesting we threw the game to exact any degree of satisfaction from a poor performance.
Once again we are putting players in the team for reasons outwith form, James Forrest has been very poor since his “wonder ” goal, and was average before that, despite the claims he was having a “great” season.
This of course means he improved from poor to middling causing an outpouring of unwarranted acclaim.
Even Paul 67 saw fit to comment thus:
“Little had been seen of James Forrest on the right and he carried little threat when he did receive the ball. Like most of his team-mates, he appeared to be stricken with the inability to pass the ball to someone wearing the same colour of shirt.”
Ironically it was the player marking Forrest, Considine who found the time to attack and score, the result no doubt of an untroubled first half.
How he was played ahead of Roberts beggars belief.

As regards Celtic Park or Parkhead it is neither, as a German in Dortmund said to me in 1992 as he thrust a T-shirt into my hands “I’m really sorry I can’t get to Parkheid for the next game.” Even the Germans knew it was called Parkheid. ????????
