That’s Aberdeen’s first clean sheet against Celtic at Celtic Park since 1994.

A wee quiz question, who was their keeper then?

I have to be honest, i wouldn’t have had a clue if the answer wasn’t in front of me.

    Hail Hail

BIG PACKY on 13TH MAY 2018 7:36 PM

I started 10 years before that. I called it Parkhead because my dad, all of my other Celtic supporting relations and everyone else I knew called it that.

Ha ha apart from Jim Leighton I think they are the only 2 other Aberdeen keepers I can ever remember :O)

RD was given a fair bit of garbage, the fact that Brendan has managed to make some of the players he inherited better is down to his coaching and man management skills.

I still maintain that some of the senior players didn’t have any respect for RD, down to him, possibly, but I don’t believe he had anything like the power Brendan has.

  13. I agree with Big Packy it was always Parkhead. Myself and everyone I knew never called it Celtic Park. I guess it may always have officially been Celtic Park but that wasn’t used on the street.

Don’t know when CP crept in – the stadium redevelopment 1994+?

  14. I expect us to be very busy on the transfer font

Who will go from the first team squad, by choice or otherwise ?

    my predictions

    Paddy

    Moussa

    Lustig

    Jozo

    Armsttomg

    Rogic

    Mousonda

    De vries

    Comper

  15. I posted at half time about to the time wasting employed by Aberdeen. Second half continued. Plus 6 subs. Plus injury time for Brown, Griff and 2 Aberdeen players.

    2 minutes added on?

Not saying it would have made any difference to the score. But applying the rules is all I’m asking for.

The Calton doos got to taste the rowies. Fed them to the birds. I love all wildlife but hope my favourite animal the fox, gets a taste of Bateen Bhoys butterie hings fae Aiberdonian land. Great to see you and the Cowie mob today.

    Notthebus.

I agree with that list except Lustig.

I think he will be here for another year.

Scott Allan you can add to your list, in my opinion.

    Hail Hail

  18. JIMTHETIM53 DELANEYS DUNKY ADI_DASLER GLENDALYSTONSILS thanks in my eyes its parkhead ktf.hh.

  19. The season was a wee bit of a let down?? After the highs of last season perhaps predictably so?? And that would be exactly the Celtic I’ve supported since the sixties:)) Rollercoaster:))

But 1 game away from an unprecedented double trouble rebel treble that’s quite an achievement even if we didn’t hit the highs of last season.

I’m not unduly worried about who comes or goes, I would love Eddy and Moussa still to be here next season, as for the rest TR always has something special for a big occasion and i expect him to deliver next weekend again!

Brendan will also be looking at what didn’t go right this season and making changes I’m sure, some injury free time will see us at full strength hopefully for longer. I’m sure he’ll also have his player targets in mind and want to move on those who no longer contribute.

I didn’t see much of the game today, family business but can’t wait till next week to see if we can pull this off and if we do you have to say hats off to our players for overcoming all comers and obstacles to write some new pages in the history books.

    Bring on The Motherwell..

Out in The Shire I only ever heard CP called Parkhead, I first noticed the Celtic Park thing when coming up from London in the 90’s, post Fergus maybe???

    Gamboa too.

    It’s becoming a long list.

    Could be transitional right enough.

Yep, agree. Park was very hit and miss though appeared to find some gems.

I’m a tad concerned at the current transfer scouting, where we have upped the budget and are still very hit and miss.

Though I will say that buying players does seem to be a bit of a lottery, if you can hit 50% success rate you are doing better than most other clubs out there.

    SUPERSUTTON on 13TH MAY 2018 7:50 PM

You’re right. 5 minutes injury time would have been nearer the mark . The funny thing is, with Celtic pressing and Aberdeen hanging on, you would normally expect the MIB’s to make it 10 minutes if it was going to help their pals at Ibrox.

  23. Gerryfaethebrig on

Would love to ask our KT what he thought of Ronny ???

At a guess I think Kieran would be complimentary of his old boss, thought Ronny managed our young superstar well in his early days

  24. glendalystonsils on

I can see it being quite a churn in the summer with a lot of outs and ins. Brendan’s priority .I’m sure, will be to manage it in such a way that we are properly geared up for the CL qualifiers.
