Good test. Good result. Good performance. Work still to be done but that has certainly added to our collective belief that the ange style isn’t just for battering lesser teams. AZ are a decent side and one who are the match of any domestic opponents we will face in my opinion.
We are still developing. We have to be happy with where we are at already.
Absolutely loving Ange. Demanding the ball be played into their box from a free kick at 93 minutes was a highlight for me.

I think Taylor gets off lightly because he plays with heart and always makes himself available. BUT this doesn’t hide the fact that he constantly gets skinned inside and outside. He simply doesn’t have the physical attributes to be a top defender – sorry! I’ll only cut him slack because we have asked him to perform week in and week out – maybe he needs rested for that type of shift running the line.
Our priority positions are left back and center half!

My man of the match was Anthony Ralston. What a terrific display from a very tough guy. Also, Stephen Welsh really is growing into a great player. Tom Rogic, magic maestro. Kyoto, who makes his batteries? Hart, top marks, inspiring keeper. Captain Calum…thanks bhoys, you were brilliant!

One obvious criticism is whatever we’re doing at halftime does not suit such a high press during the first 45mins.
Ange should make them do an Ali and keep them on the park bouncing about, kicking, stretching and dat kind of thing during the break. Raring to go for second half.
Aye, there was a fair few who didn’t want Joe Hart near the team, I hope their humble pie is tasting good.
Same for Ange, there was many many more because they had never heard of him just assumed he would be crap and a total failure, their humble pie should be extra tasty >)
