  1. Good effort, we made a game of it. Proud of the team. Worked so hard to get back into it . . . only to go behind again after 3 mins. Happens to us more often than I care to remember.

  2. INVINCIBLE 'GG on

We took a lot from that.

    Proud powerful performance.

    Bayern were rocking

    Brendan’s philosophy silences the critics

  3. Well, well, well.

We really are not that far away.

Up against a team that would be in the top handful on the planet and we gave them a game, makes me so feckin proud, the support were amazing, Brendan got it 100% correct, the ejits who wanted to park the bus, go and steep in your despair.

  4. They played the way Brendan wanted them to, and the bhoys were more confident playing that way . Hopefully they carry the bravery on the ball, to better and winning

    Mom James Forrest…gonyerselweeman

  5. very disappointed ,all that effort and we get no points ,plenty to be proud of but defensive errors cost us once again.

  6. What is the Stars on

We should have parked the bus.

    Rodgers must go.

Hard lines Celtic you batteled well but the weak centre of our defence cost us yet again I just hope Brendan decides to do something about before next season.Well onwards to Paris. H.H.

  8. INVINCIBLE 'GG on

    I’m not disappointed.

    Happy we competed.

Bayern know they were well matched in an exciting pulsating atmosphere.

    No reason to feel down.

  9. It was schoolboy stuff to concede the 1st goal. What’s the old adage ‘Just fecking clear it’. Boyata will learn from that.

  10. Absolutely no disappointment here, just pride.

We went toe to toe and matched them and more all over the park.

Bayern are quality of course, but we arrived tonight, as a competitor at this level.

  11. Fine margins cost us tonight, a long ball mis judged flight no challenge keeper out his goal maybe hand ball kept the ball in front of the guy to shoot otherwise he has to turn back to get the ball, and a cross that came in far too easily from the right , Celtic deserved a draw, make sure of Europa League football in the next game and lets see how we can further develop.

Deserved at least a draw from that game. That was the kind of performance I hoped we would see. For all their possession, Bayern were flattered by two soft goals. We might even have won it if Moussa didn’t have his boots on the wrong feet tonight. James Forrest was immense and ,who knows, if griff had been on a bit earlier it could have been so different. Celtic’s good name definitely restored though.

  13. Well done bhoys, we did our best so its Europa here we come. BTW he who is rated not good enough for us opened the scoring down at Rugby Park tonight.

  14. Just had a text from Miss Doc, “proud of our team, performance of his life from James Forrest.”

    Chip off the old thingy

  15. they where there for the beating tonight and we just fell short , had we scored a second would they have stepped it up again , we keep getting punished at this level for our defensive frailties .

  16. Good to see Celtic take the game to Bayern and genuinely compete with them.

Something the football experts on here insisted they weren’t capable of doing in the first leg.

Disappointing performances from Sinclair, Dembele and Armstrong though.

    Forrest absolutely outstanding.

    It’s time for positivity.

We will go on to build from here.

The only possible people disappointed would be Sevco fans.

  18. I am proud tonight as for the first time in recent years against a European giant we played like we belong at this level.

There are still areas for improvement and hopefully in the next few windows we will remedy this.

As the game closed Bayern showed their experience by buying fouls anytime possession looked lost.

There is a cynical side to football at this level and we are a little naive at this.

Brown.KT,JF Armstrong,Moussa and McG for the goal all played well.

Gordon made some good saves but was culpable at first goal.

Proud…it’s progress..and we can build upon this
