    Spot on. I like Kris and he clearly proves his worth with the goal but good god does he look wasteful in possession in this environment. Glad he was punted. Nothing stuck in the 2nd half. This is why we were under the cosh.

     

     

    Bring back Lustig, Forrest on the right, Guidetti up front and for god sake play Bitton…

    Good to see BT Sport re-writing the Europa League rules to prevent Celtic being shown (correctly) at the top of the group after tonight’s games.

     

     

    Here are the rules appertaining to the Europa League group stage, as taken from UEFA’s own website:

     

     

    7.05

     

    If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of all the group

     

    matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings (in

     

    descending order):

     

    a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the

     

    teams in question;

     

    b) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams

     

    in question;

     

    c) higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the

     

    teams in question;

     

    d) higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches

     

    played among the teams in question;

    I hereby claim the first post.when big Forster was going, to say that Craig Gordon was a better goalkeeper. He’s world class. Organises, cajoles, browbeats, and generally commands his box in a way that FF has still to learn how to do. When Stevie Woods gave the thumbs up on his fitness that was that. He’ll become this Celtic side’s Ronnie Simpson, though by far a better keeper—and he deserves all the luck going his way given the horrible injuries he suffered.

    Well done Celts. People like MnCelt will never be satisfied. Tremendous individual performance from Craig Gordon. The importance of fitness -as preached by RD – clearly evident. Good substitutions also.

     

     

    Well, I’d take a wee bit of issue about that. They ran us ragged in the 2nd half and we were fortunate to come out with the win but I’m happy with that. CG wuz the Mhan!

    However, KC and Anton combined as well as anyone in Europe tonight for our goal.They did their job, the ‘keeper did his, and so we got the win.

     

    And a confidence boost, hopefully.

    Great overall performance from Celtic tonight. At times we were under pressure though we defended as a team as everyone did their job superbly.

     

     

    As PF says we have played better and lost. I at least seen some of what RD wants us to do as a team tonight. Still think we have issue’s with fitness as I think the reason we were under so much pressure in the last 20 mins was down to our players in midfield being so tired. Players like KC should be able to last 90 mins.

     

     

    2 games gone and we are joint top so for me things are looking good. Not perfect yet but at least we are getting better.

     

     

    In RD we trust.

    Away point against the supposed best team in the group. Home win against the actual best team in the group. Astra look like whipping boys- 6 points from them a real possibility and you have ten points. Good chance against Redbull at home too.

     

     

    We might end up top and become the best team in the group…..

    They were decent and controlled the 2nd half but that’s 3 consecutive victories so I’m happy for RD and the team.
