So good to see a post from

    Your goodself

Great win today and a clean sheet

    Well done Celtic

Glad Johannson was injured or I may never have seen the team function without him. I don’t know if he could ever play badly enough to get subbed or dropped.

Btw glad it was only a minor injury before the keyboard warriors attack me for not being a real Celtic man.

    Anyhoo..

Paddybhoy, “bandito” moi!!… Getting pars couldn’t get me halfs.. :)

In fact on a few occasions it was soul destroying, notably one were you were in the semi-rough….(NAW Sipsini that’s not a yoofanism)..178 yards to the green and you put it 3 foot from the flag…aye am the bandit as I posted before always enjoy your company thanks once again.

Stranglers playing in the background nice ‘n’ sleazy…..

  3. Yesterday we saw the EPL embrace and promote controversy. I watched MOTM this morning and couldnae believe the comments. It was being sold as a reason why it was the best league in the world! That’s not what I saw.

Anyway, Thursday night and in other European games this season, we have seen the Celtic Foundation Logo on our kits. Today, started off with a fitting and emotional tribute to Jock Stein by guys who were part of the greatest Celtic team ever. Without them we really would be nothing. The Kano Foundation took Downs and Proud and Down’s Scotland to today’s game, Celtic allowed SB holders get a free ticket for todays game. This saw CSC’s that I know donate their free tickets to boys clubs, charities and their communities, which saw over 300 folk, mostly kids, visit Celtic Park today when they wouldnae usually. They saw a great attacking performance that was entertaining and honest.

Sorry, EPL but that’s what I want my club to be about and I am glad we are as far away from that circus as Izzy’s pen was from the goal.

Long may it continue and hopefully we retain our sense of identity and strengthen it in the face of false dreams of riches.

That was a lovely day oot.

Tricoloured ribbons back with us, yippee

And joined by Paddybhoy1888 and Sanna :-)

I did also notice that Marspapa posting early hours ( even though he missed me out from his list :-)), another highlight, the one liner put down of TBJ from Dena29. (hilarious it was and not for repeating here ) – Sipsini, he was speechless :-) for the first time

    Oh

And the World Famous Glasgow Celtic, put on a top display

A bit different with 3 positive players in midfield :-)

    Hail Hail

  6. Good day out and a good performance from the team and the manager.

The early goals and a poor Dindee team helped but you can only beat what’s in front of you and winning every home game 6-0 would do me fine!

Thought Efe and Izzy were excellent and Rogic seemed to last the 90 minutes much better.

    Onwards and upwards!

PS good to see TCR back on the blog – hope that your recovery is going well.

  9. I’m a little concerned that we played so well with our player of the year from last season. I’m a big fan of Jo Hansen but he can’t just waltz back into the team. Likewise Armstrong when returning from injury will need to wait on others misfortune before he is entitled to a game.

I also thought Scott Allan would take Rogic’s starting place in the SPFL once he got a few weeks training with the squad under his belt. And that despite being a Rogic fan from day one, including the Morton game. Now I’m not so sure. Perhaps Tom is the new Commons; who by the way had a very good game, his first touch being excellent.

And so to the back line. Boyata and Ambrose. They aren’t Van Djik and Denayer in terms of skill on the ball, but they sure looked capable in all other aspects. Both just need to keep it to simple passes or hoof up / out the park.

  10. Oh another,

Take it Big J and all the young Milton (Bannockburn) Bhoys had a great Day oooot as well :-)

    Doc, where were U ?

Delaneys D, would you believe, daughter informed me today, that player you rave about at Dundee ( who done nothing to impress today) actually lives with his partner in Cowie,

Apparently a nice chap, but not a Bhoy :-)

    Hail Hail

  11. Just home in time to see our game on Sportscene.

Tom Rogic was magic today. Izzy and Efe excellent.

Great to see you posting..saw dozens of Facebook stuff to support you and your family while you were in hospital…obviously good good people who do a lot more for Derry than a lot of the scumbags born there.

Hopefully them hoods get caught up some day. Keep well

  14. Cowiebhoy

Indeed I did give you and the special one “DD” a mention, it may have been censored haha.

The saying on here is “at least I’ll wake in the morning a tim”

Well you’ll still waken a ROASTIR!! Haha might catch up Wednesday bud .. Ps glad someone met Weefra and said he’s in fine fettle..:)

Peter Gabriel on now in the background ‘big time ‘ claaasssssss!!

  15. Almore, Nice that you appreciate my support for the Dubs but I need to be honest here. My support for the Dubs stems more from my dislike of Kerry having spent a lifetime of having my heart broke from the Bar Stewards then any great affinity to the Metropolis. However having said that I am genuinely delighted for yourself and your fellow Dubs on the site. Enjoy the moment and the next couple of weeks. Times like this are special, treasure them.

  16. And another thing

Anyone else notice Burnley78’s business advertising its goods around our stadium today – Nice :-)

    Hail Hail

  17. Despite only knowing Tricoloured Ribbon from your posts on the blog, I would venture that the cream always rises to the top. Your recovery certainly falls into that description.

Could the above be the post from Auldheid that has ever made the most sense? :-)

6-nuthin. Hard to disect the game at all with that performance and score. Many showing they have a point to prove. The team spirit and reactions (to each other) would make a mockery of any suggestions of dressing room ruckus.

Long may the negetonians mutter. :-)

TCR – hearing you’re back is the perfect end to the perfect day. God bless you pal.

Would have struggled to choose between rogic and Sadie for motm today.

    Efe. Flawless.

What a day for the milton bhoys to come to Paradise.

Since I wont be there to say it to your face next week, I will admit here that SB played a tremendous second half today. :)

Re. your reference to the ‘doom and gloom’ merchants.

There is one poster, who does my nut in, who wasn’t on the blog for nearly three weeks (!) before the Malmo second leg and the next day posted 17 (SEVENTEEN) times in one hour, and everyone a greetin’ faced moan.

Clowns like him (and there are too many) kept me off the blog for the last 10 days or so.

BTW he hasn’t been on so far today/tonight. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  22. Great result today, exactly what is required to get the no shows and TV loyal back to the game.

Not normally a fan of Rogic but he did well today,as he did vs D.Utd. which leads me to believe that playing a footballing side as opposed to a physical side ( Yes I do mean Aberdeen ) suits him better.

Lets not tinker too much with a good formation, but for the game vs Hearts I would get Cifcti in with Griffiths and hit them quick and hard before they gain any momentum.

  23. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

TCR – welcome back chieftain, hopefully get out for a pint or two soon.

Almore – congratulations mo chara, well deserved victory.

    Celtic – Powerful.

  24. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Mike in Toronto, regarding your post about Broonie today.

Round about the last minute, a Dundee player was breaking down our left, Broonie made a bee line for the Dundee player, caught upwith him and regained possession. The look of determination on Broonie’s face when he chased after the Dundee player , was great to see.

I hope you and the good lady are well. Its a pity you have had to change your travel plans and can’t get to the Hearts game next week.

If you haven’t already saw it, the documentary about the Jam, about the young idea, is a really good watch. It should be available on youtube.

Good night all and sleep well.
