It wouldnt be a huge surprise to see Souttar against us on Wednesday

I think they’ll need another share issue first

  2. They will pack their box and only attack in the last 10 if we are winning, anyway enjoy the victory and their draw.2 points closer.

  3. Majestic hartson – you could be right on all counts. I imagine the zombie board WhatsApp group chat is squabbling over whose stumping up this time.

Soutter is probably better than Bassey but I’m not sure he is a game changer. Any rush to pay for him now might come across as a bit of a panic buy. I’m really not worrying about whether they get him in now or not. We have better CHs on our bench

  4. Biton.

Put in a position twice,to either let Unt break or commit foul.

The first which no one seems to like mentioning.A horrendous touch by Tony, hit the ball 5 or 6 yards away from himself, when trying to tee up a shot, let Unt break.Biton fouls him ,yellow.

The second is a foul on Taylor, ignored by the Ref.Unt player going one on one with Carl.Score,0-0.What would you do?

He has been our most consistent player since Ange put him in the middle. Not good enough for his haters who can’t wait to pounce in.A few on here actually sound happy.

Gives us a massive problem on Wednesday if Calmac is not fit.Chew on that.

    Again,like Wednesday,they can’t help themselves.Can’t enjoy a great win.

  5. lets all do the huddle on

to the girl who has just sang Flashdance in the Blane Valley karaoke

    magic

    i hope she’s a Tim

  6. David66 – do they risk playing the coked up keeper you ask? That’s a headache for GVB. Drop him and risk a poor performance from an understudy, upset the dressing room etc or play him and hope his confidence isn’t shot to pieces.

We saw last season what lack of trust in your keeper does for a defences confidence and decision making. Angry Greegs has never been one for commanding the 6 yard box. Less so now. I’d argue he isn’t the shot stopper he used to be either. Looks washed up to me.

Hope he plays but if not, so what?

  7. Who was Brendan Rodgers watching today?

Hopefully no unsettling bids at end of transfer window.

  8. Souttar should have been off the park today with a horrendous tackle on the Well player, inside the box.Studs straight into the midriff,at speed.

Conveniently left out of Sport scene discussions.Would not do be suspended,if he goes to them.

You won’t see a more reckless tackle.

  9. THE ONLOOKER

    29TH JANUARY 2022 9:15 PM

Who was Brendan Rodgers watching today?

Hopefully no unsettling bids at end of transfer window.

    Probably JOTA.

  10. Hearts beat Motherwell to go ten points clear in third

Makes Wednesday’s result all the more impressive. By a distance the third best team in Scotland.

  11. Brendan was up seeing friends, celebrating both a birthday and an anniversary.

I hear he very much enjoyed his trip to Paradise.

  12. Good to see BR there today. More than welcome. Cant imagine he was watching anyone in particular. He was with his wife.

  13. Best defence in Britain ( probably Europe ) with 5 or 6 players who hadn’t met each other 5 months ago….some achievement.

Nuts that I had to go and look that up.

Imagine that was Stevie or Gio?

  14. Ange Postecoglou 🍀

“Get it into your heads, we never stop, we never stop. We’ll stop at half time and we’ll stop at the end of the game when we celebrate. But during the game we don’t stop”

Great today to be reminded of that first video released of Ange on the training ground.

    HH

  15. It was led by Lord Widgery, the lord chief justice of England, who concluded that the demonstrators fired the first shot but that none of those dead appeared to have carried weapons.

  16. The tribunal sat for just three weeks in February and March 1972, with the final report published on 18 April.

Lord Widgery concluded that the soldiers had been fired on first, and there was “no reason to suppose” that the soldiers would have opened fire otherwise.

He said there would have been no deaths had there not been an illegal march, which created a “highly dangerous situation in which a clash between demonstrators and the security forces was almost inevitable”.

  17. One bonus from today, is we won’t have Bitton available on Wednesday.

Got away with it against Hearts but today.

    Won’t be missed.

  18. Scullybhoy, His name is O’Riley, he is English born , no idea if has any Irish connections,

The fact that someone dropped the e from usual spelling would indicate to me that it would be a tenuous connection going back many years, so I doubt he would qualify to play for Ireland, but you never know for sure.

  19. SARGASSOSEA @ 7:49

yes that was it .also in 70’s

Our team had couple of name changes eventually settled as BANK

some good players played for the various cowglen teams and that’s not even counting the guys who were playing in the professional game

  20. I said months ago that I would wait till the end of January to give my considered assessment on Ange & and the squad – at that time I was expecting that we would have played the Ibrox club at Celtic Park.

However, no matter – I see a Manager who has, with acknowledged help from our CEO and the board, completely rebuilt the first-team squad in record time, and proved to be an effective leader. He is a winner, having lifted the first domestic trophy available to him. We are also still in Europe, albeit in the ‘consolation’ competition.

In the league we now sit two points behind the leaders with a chance to ‘leap-frog’ on Wednesday. Such was the state of things at the start of the season that to be in this current position is nothing short of astounding.

Our performances have been in and out – 50% exciting football, 50% hanging on. We are ‘grinding-out’ results at times, pity we didn’t do it versus a weakened St Mirren, if so we would have been top now – nevertheless to be champions sometimes ‘winning ugly’ is required. The toll of injuries has been significant and results have been more important to date.

I look forward to when we have a ‘clean bill of health’ and our players back from all corners of the globe. I am sure only then will we see the best of Ange & his squad.

However ham-fisted, or, unlucky we were in the Eddie Howe fiasco, all has worked out well, and surely no one would now swap him for Ange.

Wednesday night is of course important, but not, in my opinion a ‘must win’ – I’d say it is more of a ‘don’t lose’.

I would like us to bring in a striker and wide-forward on loan before the window closes, but realise this might be difficult to pull-off. Hopefully the dead-wood, i.e. Barkas, Boli & Ajeti can be jettisoned before Tuesday.

So what’s the overall verdict to date?

A remarkable turnaround from a horrendous starting position. Still for various reasons unable to fire on all cylinders, but that should change. Somehow we have stayed in the game and, with a fit and healthy squad, there is a realistic possibility of regaining our treble. Who would have said that at anytime between August & December?

    ‘Thank God for the Union!’

Is this a reference to the City of London Police uncovering the evidence that brought down the huns?

Certainly stands in stark contrast to the performance to the Scottish Plod in their dealings with that shit show, which to date has cost us upwards of £130m.

  22. Great to get the win today 😁🍀

Be weary of the msm and trolls in the next few days. Started this season talking about the points last season and a hatchet job on Ange. Then pointed to our alleged dodgy defence which is better than anyone elses. Then they picked on individuals, now they say it’s going to be a close league. All the while ignoring the feckin’ mess at i-broke aided by some of the worst cheating in years.

They want us to have doubt, to be fearful, whilst editing it to look like sevco are still a force.

Just enjoy our moments and focus on our identity, style, attacking play and look forward to the next match whomever they are.

  23. What a day! Up early and could hear the storm had arrived. Got right onto Ladbroke’s and they took my money. £10 on £98 return, Ross County to win. Ladbrokes blinked first at half time, £28 cash out?

Almost three to one return, a fair offer was had. What to do?

Made sense but get it right up ye’s a UK Unionist feckpigs, I sez. It’s all or nada.

No money honey, but all smiles.

I said months ago that I would wait till the end of January to give my considered assessment on Ange & and the squad

    No you didn’t

Months ago you said we’d said we’d struggle to finish second, then you said top six was our level

  26. Huns game?

    Nothing decided either way……..

Slowly, slowly we are catching the monkeys.

Lets gradually see how they handle a modicum of pressure. Hundom has thems living in LaLa Land but Ange’s Bhoys are introducing a new realisation…………

    Let’s take our time,.
