Just back from the game and happy with the three points, we could have scored more and played better but we’ve yet to see the best in this young team.

The ball is on the spot.
You’ve seen this classic framed shot a thousand – maybe a million – times before.
The empty stage. The big keeper anxious on his line. The penalty taker out of shot, but you know he’s just lurking off-screen, just out the box, just awaiting the ref’s whistle…
You blink.
Your eyes re-open and in that millisecond of awareness your conditioned brain fully expects the appearance of the penalty taker, moving swiftly into shot to execute the kick.
But there’s a pause, a mental stutter.
Because there’s an anomaly in the matrix today.
Enter stage left a languid, lank-haired Greek, arm outstretched, accusatory finger condemning the ball as he strolls with casual purpose towards the penalty spot.
Perfectly executed timing; like a classic bit of Monty Python; Fawlty Towers class.
And perfectly executed gamesmanship.
Big Sammi, I salute you. I have lmao a few times at that moment of inspiration; a moment of complete discombobulation.
No doubt the press will focus on Brown and Sammy for the rest of the week trying to manufacture a charge against them- as for the gamesmanship at the penalty- remember how Hertz got posession to win the corner- Sammy knocked the ball out for an injury to big Dan, and instead of returning posession Hertz launched the throw in into the celtic box. They got what they deserved

At the whistle Broony made straight for Hamill and shook his hand – or should I say looked like he was trying to crush his hand and give him the death stare at the same time.
Hamill reacted and theres was handbags – a few Celtic players intervened and dragged Broony away who celebrated like the mentalist he clearly is with the fans in front of him. The incident was nothing in itself but I thought it was significant – as the team celebrating with Victor and with FF for his save were – for this reason –
This is beginning to look like a team with togetherness who’ll stand up for each other.
Cant win anything , let alone a league , without that.

Hi Fellow Celtic Fans!
I have just saw the replay of the Wanyama Goal. This is a fantastic strike by Wanyama, but for me the most striking thing about the goal is the immediate build-up. From Big Dan winning the ball there is a series of very calm simple interplay till the ball is passed to Wanyama who equally calmly puts the ball in the top corner. Watch the replay again. From Dan onwards it looks like the Celts are in slow-motion and the Hearts players are running around frantically at top speed. A wonderful Goal! Full credit to Wanyama, but equal full Credit for the Celtic players who keep calm during the build-up.
At the final whistle, Broony went straight to the Hearts RB, Hammill, ex-Killie and a favourite of Jolly Jim Jeffries. Broony was giving him the verbals and jabbing his finger at him. Hammill and a few other Hearts players reacted. Big Sammi took Broony out of the fracas in case he made the Hearts boys cry.
Wee Chico asked Lenny about it after the match and Lenny said Hammill was noising Celts players up at the penalty award and it was just payback. I’m guessing Hammill was giving it the “Brother Murray will see us fair & square” routine. Broony just said “Get it roon ye!”
The panel cannae touch him. Scott is quite a clever and effective wind up merchant, but I’m sure we’ll have a few sniffy comments about conduct unbecoming a Celtic captain.
Anybody who sees the replay of the spot kick will realise that it wasn’t “gamesmanship”. The ball was clearly placed forward of the penalty spot, presumably in order to gain an advantage, however slight.
Both Sammi and Forster were perfectly within their rights to insist that the ball be placed correctly.
I find it encouraging that our players stood up for themselves and hopefully will continue to question every dodgy decision and tactic of the forces of darkness in their many guises.
Never mind big Sammi at the pen, what about Hearts launching the ball into our penalty box after we put it out for a player to receive treatment? I suppose the media missed that one. Well done big FF, delighted for you, culd be a big moment in the title race.

Opening sentence is wrong.
The ball wasn’t on the spot, that’s why Sammi pointed and Murray made the Hearts player move it.
It would only have been ‘gamesmanship’ if the ball was correctly spotted, in the first place.
Well done Sammi for noticing it.

Great save. But id go for the tertz keeper.
Jude & the long wait is over,
Cheers for that. Nothing like a penalty save to win it at the end of the game to lift the spirits.
Broony gets a lot of stick on here, might not be the most gifted, but bhoy does he have the heart (and a bit bonkers to boot).
A boy from Edinburgh celebrating against his rivals? surely not!
