  1. Just back. Very disappointing because I had taken my daughter to her first cup final and I think she was more gutted then me.

Well done Killie they took one of their few real chances whilst we missed enough to win any game.

I too thought Brown was outstanding. No sure what Forrest was doing on left wing for parts of the game.

We have been stuttering a bit last few games think we need to freshen up the team by giving a few a seat on the bench perhaps to reignite the fire.

Better display and result next week please.

Promised my daughter that she would be back in May and see a win.

  5. Congratulations to Kilmarnock and their manager. They deserve their trophy.

Superstitious me: Woke up this morning at the crack of dawn to watch the game, accompanied by a St. Patrick’s Day hangover. During the week my 83 year uncle told me on the phone- “Ah dinnae like a’ this talk o’ the treble ne’er a’ dae”. Not playing the game in the Hoops. Lenny wearing a suit and tie.

Can Sammy now start every game now please? We are always most effective when Sammy is running centre halfs ragged on the left and Jamsie is doing the same on the right. Keep that up for 60 minutes and then reassess.

  6. This is how Scottish football could be without the huns

One good thing about supporting Celtic is just when lack of hubris looks like tramsforming us into THEM, along comes reality to boot us in the haw maws.

    No bad thing.

    I agree with you!

We should never expect to beat a p*ss poor kilmarnock in a cup final.

    We really shouldny.

I am going to assume that LOGIC was never your chosen subject.

I have not said that we should NEVER expect to beat Killie.

What I said was that we should not ALWAYS expect to beat them.

    Today was Kenny Shiels’ day.

    C’est la guerre.

Let us try not to lose like Huns.

  10. Let’s go and win the league at Ibrox next week, for me that’ll make up for today’s disappointment.

  11. Agent Craig "Green and" Whyte!! on

    Snake..

Stonewall pen you can clearly see AS foot being trapped between the killie players legs. Also red card but honestly who thought the cheat gollum would give it…no chance.

Well done Kenny Sheils he said all week if Celtic turn up we would win the cup.

We never turned up so we never won the cup.

Seemingly Cammy Bell is now going to sort out the world’s finance, global warming and even buy the huns and have them in the Champions League final next season.

Fantastic save from Stokes header, 2 not bad touches over the bar from Broonie and Vic, although both were right above his head. The rest were shots straight at him were he didn’t even have to move his feet, more bad finishing than great goalkeeping.I’d be disappointed if any Celtic keeper was beaten by any of them other than Stokes header.Although big Rab Douglas im not to sure.

Killie played well but make no mistake we beat ourselves today by pathetic finishing. We should have scored 3 or 4 but we didn’t and lost, it happens.

The good thing is Kenny Sheils has Killie playing football. This shows up the dinosaurs in the Scottish game like the myth and wee broonie, we no longer need them holding the Scottish game back.

Had a text after the game from a hun workmate.I’ve not heard from him since we started our unbeaten run. They really have no class. He will now start getting text from me everytime they lose.He has brought it on himself.

For all the huns saying Scottish football needs them, think about you celebrating Celtic losing a final to a ‘diddy’ team.

We don’t need the huns now, we never have.

Well done Kenny Sheils.Keep playing football and keep doing yourself proud.

I hope Mr Kelly is doing well and back to health as soon as possible.

    bamboo,

Totally agree with everything you say.

Hooper, Stokes and Forrest are the worst moaners I think I’ve seen at Celtic. They are really quite embarrassing.

As for Neil Lennon’s ‘staff’, they seem to be there purely to congratulate him when things are going well. When the chips are down they look lost and ……….frightened to offer solutions.

  13. We were pish, they deserved it and i predict that next week, this will be a lomg abd distant memory.

Yer right about Stokes but I think the goalie had physched him with earlier saves.

Look at the clip: Stokes is going to take another stride them hit the ball in at the near post. The Kilmarnock player catches him first with his grounded left leg and then his right too.

  16. Could be worse lads, you could be supporting Celtic on my Football Manager Game, currently in October bottom of the SPL, not won any of the first 9 games and out of the league cup to Alloa after no trophy wins in my 3 year spell and finishing third last two seasons under 60 points.

    I think I may need to restart…….. ;)

Can people explain to me why they would take defeat today in a Cup Final just to win a meaningless game next week? Sorry but that utter baffles me.

  18. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

We didn’t lose today because the supporters were talking about the treble.

We lost today because the better team won!

So, excuse my ignorance, but whose fault is that?

  19. Snake

    With the greatest respect.

And I truly mean, the greatest respect.

Aye you might not win them all, but we didn’t go out to come close. A bottom six finishing side? League Cup Final? AGAIN?

Midfield battle. Midfield battle. Midfield battle. Win it and stop playing favourites. Or if you do. Know when to sub them.

  25. did we have the no show against ict this time last year or was it later , just curious, hope it’s just a coincidence

  26. Remember how TKOK used to take on a keeper by rolling the ball sideways and round? I reckon Stokes was attempting to do the same and was clipped on his right thigh by the defender who was never likely to get the ball. The best view was from behind.

    Losing a treble is sore.

History will tell us that this team is not in the same universe as previous treble winning Celtic teams even if the overall qaulity of the Scottish game is on the slide.

I have always remained constant in my desire for Celtic to play youth teams in the cup competitions. We only solidify the blazer fraternity by taking it seriously.

No probs in giving Killie their day. They finished a good move and also FF made a few saves to stop them finishing 1 or 2 more.

We never finished any of our chances but i think to say that Bell was making wonder save after wonder save is not what happened. It wasn’t exactly a David Marshall against Barca preformance.Very poor finishing from us, nothing more.

As i said well done Kenny Sheils…

Just in (the pub) from the game. Congratulations to Killie.

I am one of Lennie’s biggest supporters even when things looked bleak earlier this season but I thought he got the team selection wrong today.

Having said that, the players didn’t turn up so I guess it was a combined effort to screw it up.

I hope it reminds them that victory is always based first and foremost on hard work.

    Roll on next weekend.

I concur completely and I am also very annoyed.

I’m trying to be philosophical but I do think the league cup is jinxed for us. The stats prove it.

Neil Lennon must learn from this mistake. He is only in his second year as a manager but those players need to have a huge look at themselves.
