Dropped off my cousin and uncle at Queen Street station after the game. Their train back is via Edinburgh and they will arrive in Leeds at 11.30 pm

Up for work tomorrow at 5.45 am. The bhoys from Ireland and beyond will be home much later.

Every team Celtic send out on the pitch should be prepared to run through walls for the fans who, as we know, are the club.

I am very disappointed with the performance today and whilst I look forward to winning league and enjoying that feeling to the max, I will still be disappointed about this result for some time to come.

Having said that, you can’t win them all!

  2. neil lennon for god sake ,give killie some credit.they won the match .fed up with one excuse after the other ,them 3 picked the team and yet again wrong selection.wrong tactics ,and personaly i dont fancy our chances next season with some of these players, and dare i say the management as well .i said on here a few months ago that some of the players up at inverness last season dont have the bottle ,and hey presto what happened this afternoon , again not at the races, and i will stick by what i said earlier never a penalty.but then i suppose from some quarters its the fefs fault. a way and gie us peace .

  3. Cup games………

Just need to wait long enough for the ‘fizzle out’.

    Tick tock…..

  5. tricoloured ribbon, your spot on about Ledley, when I seen the way they lined up,I got worried…also I would take a defeat next week and be celebrating tonight with the cup.

Our club left Derry at 4.30am,paid a fortune and some kids at thier first game never mind cup final, before the game they were sending me pictures with thier pints having a laugh because I was in the house, they were just on the phone back in the hotel rooms gutted…were you in Tracys today?

    The bould hector,

Thats a good point mate.We have been beaten in a Cup Final by Kilmarnock and it does indeed dispel the nonsense that the Huns must be in inclusive af any set up.Have no problems wae Kenny Shiels fair play tae the guy.

Are you having a giggle? Get a grip don’t fancy our chances next season, who do you think will win it, Motherwell, Dunfermline? It certainly won’t be them. Our squad is far superior to any in the country and had one bad game today. We would still be 11 points clear without the ten point deduction and we nearly qualified from a europa league group involving 2 arguably 3 Champions League teams excluding us in many players first proper season of european football.

  11. What a pile of pish on here.

We got suckered by Matthews losing possession deep in their half and Kelvin Wilson walking about the park as if he was getting mentored on a day release scheme.

Couple that to the fact that we were poor… and well… hey, let’s praise Kilmarnock!

yeay the less poor team won! we mystifyingly like Kenny Shiels – yeay!

    Sorry folks

    Missed a chance a gain

a day late, a dollar short and, well, just not good enough…

  12. Kilmarnock wanted the cup more, that’s two league cup finals in a row in which the team who wanted it more went home with the silverware, Killie played to their max, tactically they got it right matching the team set up to the ability they had in the squad, since the 3-3 draw at Kilmarnock i havent seen another SPL side create the chances Kilmarnock did today, poor marking and poor organisation at the heart of our defence eventually cost us the cup.

Celtic got it badly wrong on the day, Wilson, Hooper and Forrest did not merit a start in a major cup final, in Wilsons case he is not good enough as for the later two they have been off form for weeks, recently Forrest and Hooper have treated scoring for Celtic akin to scoring goals in training with little joy or celebration, we lacked hunger and desire, next week we will require it at ibrokes, make no mistake about that

  13. Still sick. You never get used to losing in Cup Finals (at least, I don’t: I still remember how I felt when Connachan defied us in 1960).

Personally, I don’t think Kilmarnock deserved to win the match. Granted their manager has them playing football; granted their goalkeeper had a good game. But, even if we played poorly by our standards, we were still the better team.

I was sure at the game it was a penalty; I’m even more sure now having watched it on the TV. Collum is a cheat and we are the team he cheats.

I am loath to criticise our manager but why was Sammi not playing and was only brought on with 10 minutes left? Was Rogne injured? Why start Forrest on the right and then move him to the left (where he was a bit better, right enough)?

I am not too concerned about how next week’s game goes, as long as everyone gets home alive and well.

We’ll be having a party when they die. That thought beats all.

  14. Neil canamalar Lennon hunskelper extrordinaire on

Ragein, absolutely, manager is a thrawn tit.

Bullcrap about who played in the tournament ffs

Like being loyal to tools, two players should never have been wearing a jersey today, their form should have discounted them. To top a completely incompetent showing from the tacticians I had the pleasure of picking up a 76 year old after green Huns decided they needed to attack other Celtic supporters leaving the stadium.

  15. A treble is hard to win, even when it’s close. Chance of a double but more footballers in team please, Neil, otherwise we’ll have gone from a ‘give the ball to McGeady’ team to the same but Forrest, oh and then give him pelters when he makes a mistake! In the long run, today is a good day for the only manager in Scottish football to speak out for Neil Lennon against the bigots. Enjoy your night, Kenny Shiels!

  16. Lenny made a howlin c*nt of it ,Sammi should have been

    on from the start.

    Tony Stokes ….Lazy brainless bastard

    The Treble

Too true. A very rare occurrance usually only achieved by means of either mibbery / financial ahem…chicanery or……. genius.

Lenny fully deserved that Treble more than any hun ever has.

    I’m gutted for him.

    ———————————————————-

Exaclty mate. i was reading the other day that neil would have been the first

spl manager to do the treble as a manager and a player if he succeded this year, so i’m pretty sure he will be a little bit gutted this evening, though i’m

sure he will now be very determined to make sure celtic win the treble this

    year.

Ragein, absolutely, manager is a thrawn tit.

Never in my 52 years have I felt the need to call a Celtic manager a ‘TIT’

  21. Driving up to Hampden a few Irish boys ran over to car and asked if I could drop them off lol.

The bhoys had a good drink in them, windows down, scarfs out and going nuts lol.

    Faithful through and through?

We don’t care if we win, lose or draw?

  23. I'm Neil Lennon (tamrabam) on

Stonewall penalty absolutely no doubt. Why would anyone dive when they were only three yards out from goal in the ninety second minute of cup final?

Clear contact for me and I reckon big bad John let himself down a bit today with comments abouts stoksie diving,

Anyway it ŵas always the diddly cup and is only icing for the only tournie in Scotland worth winning,

    Keep the faith

  24. canamalar

Aye Lenny is culpable as are many of the players but to refer to him as a ‘tit’ is out of order.

It could be a lot worse, we could be facing liquidation

I remember when we were so bad, we could only cheer when someone else beat the Huns , that’s the position that they are in now
