    Paddy G….,

When he need support he gets it,

Today he needs a kick up the jacksie, how you deal with your disappointment is up to you. Me, I find the source and make sure it knows.

  2. tomtheleedstim on

Would just like to say I hope Liam Kelly’s old man pulls through ok.

Bad news that on a day when he should have been celebrating.

  3. did I hear today after the game that Killie sold more tickets for the semi than the final…

Aye and we nearly beat Kilmarnock today as well

Just remember it was the mighty Sion that gave us the opportunity to pit our superstars against Atletico Madrid 9th in the Spanish league Rennes 7th in the French League and the mighty Udinese 3rd in the Italian league and by my reckoning and Uefas that’s only one of them on current league positions that are champions league contenders

  5. Snake

saw that on FB earlier but not confirmed on BeeB so just left it alone..

    Coorslad heard that today also..

  6. OK, haven’t read other posts :

    – Fair play to Killie, but we were the better team

    – When a goalie gets MOTM then that is a sign

    – Brown and Charlie were good

    – Mathews, Hooper and Forrest were poor

    – others – OK

    – Lack of cutting edge

    – Missed Sammi

    – these things happen, heres for the double !

  7. Celtic Champs Elect on

a old league cup means nuthing to me from pthistle to dundee to raith rovers this cup has always been in our downfall but for me the league means more than any thing and yes its coming home BTW stokes was a stonewall pen and hoopers was a sitter… but you knows what I love celtic fc and always will

  8. The wrong team was selected today and only 3 Celtic players get pass marks Forster, mulgrew and brown.

The players apart from the above 3 were not motivated as the kilmarknock players were.

Regarding team selection , kelvin Wilson is never a centre back of Celtic class. He lost his man at the goal and never won a clear header all day. Rogne is a better defender than him. I worry that Lenny has a blind spot for him as he has let us down before ESP ibrox earlier in the season.

Sammi should have been played from the start and that was a major mistake. Forrest has been off form for weeks , which happens to young

    Players.

Picking the wrong team and lack of motivation is completely unacceptable from Lenny and his buddy’s. I had my sons and one of their mates who has never had the opportunity to watch Celtic in a final and I am sorely disappointed for the bhoys.

Also the lack of fight disappointed me from a Celtic Team in a cup final.

Finally , I believe it was a penalty. The Killie player never touched the ball and made enough contact with stokes to merit the award. Collum is still pining for Dallas ( the day I seen him carrying Dallas bags at Edinburg airport as we came off the Amsterdam flight was embarrassing). Even Callum Murray and Craig thomson were chuckling at dallas’s boy

  9. correction, i meant to type the word double in my last post, but can’t edit it now lol

  10. There are some disgraceful comments on here tonight about our manager. This guy has won us the league, got us to a final today and another semi-final to come. Bad decisions and poor team selections is it? Get a grip please.

  11. and i will tell you this ,a i still think lennon isnt the man to take celtic forward, bad decisions, bad tactics .ranting and raving on the touchline ,no wonder some of the players have a bad day watching him on the touchline, and as lot of you know i never had any faith in neil lennon being the coach of my football club glasgow celtic. and i can take it all the abuse i get on here ,for what TELLING THE TRUTH ,WHICH AT TIMES IS SADLY LACKING ON HERE,

I really hope those twitter messages are not true.

This will be an absolute tragedy if it is true.

I’m surprised to see so many boys angry today

Surely after the run we have put together this season, they are due a break, no team will ever win every game, although we do expect it

Willie collumhad a king size howler in Europe this week also

    bt,

In your opinion it’s out of order, in my opinion I could have said worse and be justified.

How long have I been frustrated with that wee bhoy Forrest?

That’s right and today was his worst performance yet.

And that wee tit keeps picking him

    It’s only a game :-(

    Perspective….Welcome.

Theres no–one more snide than you here pal. Give it a rest.

My seven year old nephew took that game “on the chin” better than some on here.

And he cried when he didn’t win pass the bleedin parcel last year at his birthday party!

You’re out of order and not for the first.

  19. jeez_I_thought_blinker_was_pants on

Correct me If I’m wrong, we haven’t lost in Scotland when Thomas Rogne has been playing. We’ve been beat in 2 cup finals where he was taken off.

  20. Congratulations to Kenny Shiels and his team. Refreshing to see a team besides Celtic who want to play football.

They wanted it more than us today and it showed. Complacency played a big part in our failure today. IMO.

  21. Killie didnt deserve to win!!!

There goalie won MoM cause we had better/more chances and failed to score i dont think FF made a save in 2nd half ffs

We didnt play well but made enough chances to win 2 games

    Please please watch game again!

Hooper missed sitter but led line brilliantly held ball up well linked play great( look at through ball at JL’s miss)

Stokes doesnt see other players doesnt read flicks and is not team player

What is Forrest bringing to team at moment he doesnt track back he doesnt cross to anyone and pulls out of every tackle He might turn out to be special but in last few games he has been a man short

But we are a young team and with fit Kayal and Izzy + another couple of players we will be fine

Ps 99% of refs anywhere in world would have given Stokes penalty today but we had Dallases love child so suppose we should have expected his non decision

  22. celticrollercoaster says In Neil we trust on

Not read back…but I can imagine. Sadly, we don’t do league cup finals very well! Lenny is in fine company, with MON, Strachan, Cesar and Big Jock.

At least we will be able to compete in it next year.

    Onwards to a fine double

  23. I'm Neil Lennon (tamrabam) on

I will take the league and sacrifice the two cups every single season for ever more,, at least we didn’t give it up for the Huns,

  24. Some disgraceful comments on here tonight.

No doubt the same posters who are shaming themselves tonight will be on here when we win the league brandishing their undying allegiance to our club

  25. canamalar

Ultimately his team selection has contributed massively to today’s failure.

In my opinion it still does not warrant him being referred to in such terms by a Celtic supporter.

  26. vp

I had to do a double take when I didn’t see sammi on. I can see where lennie was coming from but unfortunately it clogged up our mid which let them drop back when they needed to, a bit of a bummer

Here is the penalty incident but only from one angle

    http://i43.tinypic.com/2vm8pzb.gif

    ————————————————————————————

I have watched this several times and I believe it is a stonewaller, Stokesy has the ball well under control, his last touch is a deft touch to his left and the keeper has already committed himself to the save, Stokes either pops the ball into the back of the net or does a Sebo, there is no reason for him to dive. You can tell by his reaction afterwards that he was brought down.

That aside we were lacklustre today and if we were going to lose to anyone then I’m glad it was Kenny Shiels, the only SPL manager who stood up for Lenny last season. So congratulations to Kilmarnock and Kenny and I hope Mr Kelly is OK.

A couple of points though, Neil please do not take off our most effective centre half for a long time, if he is not injured, we probably wouldn’t have lost the goal if he had stayed on. Ki did make a difference in midfield but he should have taken the yellow card to prevent their goal scoring attack. I did not want to enter the James Forrest debate but he has been ineffective for some time, he is young and still developing. Jock Stein did not have Dalglish as a regular pick when he first came into the first team he had to earn his place, but I’m afraid that decision may have been made for Lenny as the injury looks a bad one.

I don’t think Forrest or Hooper, thigh strapped up with an ice pack, will be fit for next week, Sammi needs to start as he has some unfinished business at the cesspit.

    Hail! Hail! PMTYH

  28. Haven’t the heart to read back fully, scared of what I might find.

Voguepunter, I like your posts and look out for them, agree with 99 % of what you say but your attack on Stokes there was Traynor-esque and should be retracted. He is occassionally selfish but all strikers are, he has sat on the bench when he didn’t deserve to and you post that?

Hope Liam Kelly’s dad is okay, very sad for him
