    Don’t agree re Wanyama

    That’s what it’s all about

As for Wilson there does appear to be a consensus … He’s poor

Biggest lack of consistency is a Celtic man calling Neil Lennon a tit!

So the same players & management who put together one of the best unbeaten runs in football are now duds, failures, tactically nieve blah blah blah. Fast forward to next week if we beat the huns, it will be all Neil Francis this that & the next thing.

    Get a grip guys.

    Aw Naw

    6th’d or 7th’d.

This guy is about to deliver us a championship. Nothing else comes close when it’s about the dishin out of the trophies. And, no manager in recent history, maybe all history, deserves it more.

  7. Just home, the long drive punctuated by long periods of silence then the odd expletive from my fellow travellers – how the f””k could we play so badly? why the F””k didn’t Sammy start? Who is the pr*ck masquerading as Hoops. Anyway well done Killie you took your chance. I haven’t read back through the posts but I am sure that JF and a few others came in for some criticism. I thought Bronnie was our best player and why was Tommy Rogne taken off?

Here’s to pumping the Orcs at Ibrox.

You know what, I’m glad Liam Kelly’s father saw him win the cup today. There will be more cups for us to win.

    Ernie,

Thats my worry.I dont think he is learning.Gubbed by Ross County, the Huns last season and a shambolic selection, tactics and mistimed substitutions the day.

Naw,I don’t think he’s learning at all.We were awful today.

  10. One Neil Lennon. Can’t believe some people now having a go at him following one poor display.

I would actually agree with almost all of that but it does not excuse you referring to our manager in such a way.

We’re not going to agree so let’s move on mate.

  12. The read back in langour is the best approach methinks.

Plenty many their gut instinctive reaction in first paragraph grief, but their

subsequent conclusive words are mainly positive and informative.

To think that Lenny is out the loop of online thought is frankly hilarious.

  13. Why do some people only have negatives to say when we loose.

Why not point out players faults when winning?

Who said after 25 games unbeaten Neil Lennon was not the man to take us forward? He is, absolute HERO.

C’mon guys, we’re about to win the league, we can put it beyond the Hun next week. Neil Lennon has done a tremendous job, think about the off field stuff he has had to put up with. Support him, support the team.

    Away for a beer.

    Mon the Hoops.

  14. Sixteen roads to Golgotha on

The manager got it wrong.Lenny must take responsibility, and i hope that he will.

This is the thing though – it’s all about loyalty – certain players…Matthews,Jamesy,Hopper etc. have been off the boil for weeks now, everybody knows that. But the fact is this…the same players got the club to that final today,to a league title…and think about it…Lenny probably thought that he owed them a starting place. And it’s all well and fine for us,sitting back and watching it unfold – but we don’t work with these individuals on a personal level…we don’t know them. It’s easy for us to say, drop this, and play that.

He is a young manager, and they are young footballers. The only thing that I wish for now,is that he learns to be more ruthless.

As for dropping big Samaras, that will forever remain a mystery.Kelvin Wilson? I will never understand why he was selected.Paddy McCourt? That game was crying out for his presence.

On a more positive note though – of the three competitions – if we were gonna lose one of them, then this is the one i would rather have lost.

Sorry for the rant Bhoys,im gonna pour myself a double.

    KTF.

  15. I hope the bhoys’ heads will be clear before ibrox, there is a hell of a lot going on at the moment- lennie’s week, the wangers’ mess, the disappointment of today, everybody thinks we’ve already won the league already, we’ve just finished the best run for years. There’s enough there to distract the squad

  16. Reading some of the comments on here is so fecking funny!

I wonder how many people saying how wrong Lenny was to leave Sammi out, were the same people who wanted him gone ages ago.

All the comments about never good enough for a shirt, dont want to see him in a Celtic shirt again, GTF, coward, would be better in a different league, blah blah blah.

And dont bother telling me ‘I never said……’. Those who did, know who the comments are aimed at. But they are also for the ones having a right good go at other players AND Neil. I would have our management team ahead of ANYONE else, especially anyone whos best tactic is to come on and say ‘I told you so’ The biggest sign of arrogance ever.

I congratulate Neil Lennon, his coaching staff and the players on getting to a cup final, winning the league comfortably, (even without the 10 point penalty), and at least a Scottish Cup semi final. People say they dont win the ‘important’ matches, but thats a joke. If they lost the semi, they wouldnt be in the final…. Similarly, the league, ‘important’ matches dont exist, every single one is important, the 1-0 on a wet wednesday that you forget about, or a 2-1 on they sunday after a hard euro match, they all count, and they are all worth the same points!

I would love to see Neil here, leading Celtic for as long as possible. Is he perfect, no. Is anyone? Anyone who has anything nasty to say about him, and you know what you have written or said, is basically doing the job of the hun for them, and is no better than those who attack him physically at a match, or cowardly sends bullets or bombs in the post!! And I really mean that, your not Celtic class, if you want to call Neil Lennon names.

Of course you can say he got the team selection wrong. Feel free to discuss that here, and if you still feel so strongly about it, write him a letter. I am sure he would listen to some constructive criticism. But the amount of ‘world class managers’ who come on here, with how their team would have won, is so unbelievable. I wonder, would your tactics still legislate for an easy miss in the first few mins, or a stone wall penalty not being given?? What am I saying, you would be 5-0 up by half time because you changed 1 or 2 players!! lol

As I said, gutted, but more disappointed in the comments here than anything else! Head up Neil, onwards and upwards, bring us the league home in style and have a go at the double. Very much looking forward to next season already!

Bullet, parcel bomb, John Wilson, Edinburgh jury, McCoist’s zero class in defeat at Parkhead, government summit, “old firm shame”, “he brings it on himself”, SFA ridiculous ban, George Peat, Dougie McDonald, referee strike, all Celtic’s fault…

And here we are… after “open season” (copyright George Galloway) he has worked and worked to get his young team to the edge of a magnificent season.

Neil Lennon. A backbone of oak. Our team’s manager. Hero.

I don’t post often but I liked this one from ‘Neil Lennon Abbot of Clonmacnois’ from earlier today….Neil Lennon is a strong Celtic man…he is big enough to take any stick…but some of the stick on here tonight is way out of order….I stand with Neil Lennon…..

  18. Have just watched Neil Lennons post match interview and I am embarrassed for him. The majority of the Celtic supporters are well aware of where the shortcomings lay and it was not the decision by a referee not to award us a penalty that cost us

Neil Lennon was trying to play to the crowd by having a go at Collum rather than admitting his own selection mistakes and neglecting to mention some dire performances by his own players

  19. Just remember-fans-Neil has had to manage under

conditions that no one has ever faced-he is a pioneer-

he is the real and bloodied face of us all- fighting prejudice

and a bent and menacing system-a true figurehead-a true

hero-i back NFL 100%- football is a sideshow for me right now

-the sporting body is rotten and until this carcase is removed-

we stay in the dark ages

  20. Jinky was my hero on

Long time since I posted anything, but to be honest I enjoy reading more than posting if truth be told.

Like everyone I am disappointed with both the performance and result, as I had only one ticket I gave it to my son who is only 20 years of age, he has arrived home very depressed with the outcome ( I am sure he will witness many over the years to come, god willing).

The points of Neil having his tactics wrong coupled with the team selection resonate with me also, however he is young and so is the team he has constructed. We need a few tweaks here and there and a bit of quality in front of goal when the pressure is at its highest, that costs money and we should go the extra mile before the CL qualifying rounds begin.

If I may offer a memory, which posters of my age will remember well and younger ones may wish to dwell upon.

When we disposed of the mighty Leeds Utd in the 1970 European cup semi-final we faced Feyenoord of Holland, the great Jock Stein promptly dropped George Connolly who had scored the winner at Elland Road, was outstanding at the Hampden return and replaced him with David Hay, to add to this puzzling change he never even bothered to watch them prioir to the final. Tommy Gemmell said in an interview years later the whole team including big Jock underestimated how decent as side they were.

If the greatest ever manager who walked the earth got it wrong in a major final, I think we should support a young manager who has more right than wrong in, what may be recalled in years to come the most bigoted, hideous and appalling circumstances any manager has tolerated during their tenure.

Keep the faith and let us look forward and congratulate Kilmarnock on their win, a town that has had grim financial hardships to endure over the last few years.

Hail Hail and God Bless Neil Lennon

  21. So we lost a football match we could have won. Happened lots of times before and probably shall again.

    What does it matter?

Tomorrow, regardless of the result, I still have washing to do, food to cook, washing up to do and a house to clean – just as I have every week.

Real life doesn’t take a break because of football.

A wee bit of perspective would be nice.

    If we win, great.

If we don’t, these things happen.

Life and it’s practicalities go on.

Don’t bother trying to slaughter me, it won’t work.

I have my perceptions and values – end of story.

Still wish the best for all of you.

    Cheers

    Alex

  22. Get a grip everybody. We lost the match because too many players

had a poor game by their own very high standards.

VOUGEPUNTER-Agree with you as far as big Sammi goes but i think

Stokes gives us a shift unlike Hooper, the lazy wee swine.

That said,i still would have played all three from the start.
