If ever back “home” I will gladly buy you a shandy or ten and talk rubbish about the hoops :-)

  2. Dembele, I think must now have 12 goals and maybe 12 assists this season-good going considering even now he is still probably only at 80% of his full power.

All going well he should be flying in the next few weeks.

Liked big Marvin….reminded me a bit of Marc Rieper in that he didn’t try to make himself look good- just done his job professionally, as you would expect.

Kieran Tierney- I actually think he’s outgrowing the left back slot- I always thought he would end up as a central defender but this season suggests a move forward might be the shout……what a player wherever he plays.

Scott Sinclair- I think it was Lou Macari who said that when a player becomes a father you’re as well writing him off for 6 months….too good a player not to come back as strong as last season tho.

Rogic, I thought was excellent and he is, I think, certain to start next week.

Throughout the year i make a few sacrifices here and there and put this towards my own season ticket which costs a wee bit more and has a few added benefits like it covers e for all home domestic cup ties

I could have probably went to Russia a week past Thursday but in not doing so saved me £500 which will probably go towards next years season ticket

The talent on show at Il Calcio Italiano is quite good but the talent in the stands outshines it . My compliments to the RAI TV editor

  5. GERRYFAETHEBRIG, was in the coop this afternoon .noticed 4 bottles of mcewans champion for 6 quid, i had already bought 6 cans of polish lager quite strong, never seen mcewans down here in darkest cheshire, but ive just drunk the mcewans, and i feel quite merry.watch this space.hh.

  6. Are we a better team than next weeks opponents ? Not in doubt. Do we have better players ? Absolutely. Do we want to win the game as much as they do ?

Rock solid today. Bit pedestrian in the first half, but Odsonne’s introduction immediately brought impetus. Good to see Moussa back at it. His header was superb. Commper looked good, even if only against limited opposition. His passing was simple and reliable. Ajer is a bull, a real prospect. Bit worried about the keeper’s confidence going into next week. He just needs to believe in himself and he’ll be fine. Well done today Celts.

Enjoy your beverages, hope the weather has been kind down your neck of the woods, made work on Wednesday but no trains fae Coatbrig to the toon Thursday & Friday and as Embramike posted on way to the game today limited service, being going into Glasgow to work since Centenary season and can’t remember no trains at all…. but in the last few days saw more people going up and down from the Main Street than I ever have…. by the way Christie’s was shut when we braved the elements to Asda yesterday :-)

They have home advantage and will fancy themselves. We need to take the sting out of them asap with possession and preferably a goal or two. I expect they will press us which is a risky tactic as they could run out of gas towards the end and they need to know what they’re doing, if it goes wrong it could get messy. For me it’s Rogic and Edouard all day long, we can rely on SS, PR and CM from the bench if needed. Two up front, get the ball forward quickly and get them turning. Trust me they will **** themselves if the two French boys are running in behind them.

  10. I’ve always had an affinity and respect for Arsenal. They are a club in deep decline. They need a manager with the nouse of the EPL and the stature to manage a great club.

I think Scott Sinclair will start next Sunday, BR goes on players he trusts and Sinky in my opinion is a Brendan type player….

Given the choice I would have Scott Sinclair in my team everyday of the week…. a brilliant signing who is having a great goal scoring season compared to a terrific playing & giakscoring season in our treble winning season….

Hard to argue with that selection

McGregor Roberts Musonda and Sinclair as options from the bench

  18. G64 cheers pal. I’m not worthy! We both know that!

GFTB – watching SS this season pains me. I wish the Bhoy only well but he’s just not got it, doing it bro. Not right now.

Next week won’t be for the faint hearted. And right now he’s not the fearless Fenian we need.

I said to a couple of Arsenal supporting friends last week that Araene has to go,because…

    He disnae have a clue.

Natch, when a non-Arsenal fan criticises the man, they hammered me,and rhymed off his achievements. All of which I agreed with.

Arsene Wenger put a great team on the pitch,he made that club loud and proud, they were nothing till he arrived. An occasional bauble, and they now have the last twenty years to remember.

He’s up there with Herbert Chapman.

    But…

    He doesn’t have a clue,and I stand by that.

He doesn’t have a clue how to get out of the situation Arsenal are in,and he’s twisted,he’s turned,he’s tried everything. The big buys, the scouted cheapos, everything has gone wrong for the guy.

If every manager sent his players out to play the game in the manner Wenger does,I’d be a happy bunny. But you only need to give his team a couple of early digs now,and they fold. Viera and McLintock days, you’d have got it back ten-fold.

Shameful how he has been let down by his players, but the balance of his team has been wrong for at least five years.

  22. John Beaton was warming up today, I’m standing down at the front, guy beside me starts with the banter, gees a penalty today and what have you. Beaton laughs and some banter ensues, guy says i hope you don’t do a Steven MacLean at Hampden to which Beaton made face as if to say howling then says that was a shocker with a smile.

  23. GFTB

There’s a war to be won brother. In the midfield. We bossed the mini Huns and zenith with Broonie, Ollie and EK.

Win that war and the forces of goodness will prevail.

    HH jamesgang

  24. what about fitting one or to of the lions, and one or to of martins team next week, any takers.hh.

  25. Bobbio

Wenger was a visionary 30 years ago.

He’s been a footballing failure for a decade now.

I do believe in ‘dignity’ – he should have retired or moved upstairs with dignity 3-5 years ago.

  26. Gerryfaethebrig on

Gambling is a mugs game :-)

I like Sinclair like many of us and realise he isn’t at the top of his game just now…. but I actually think Kieran is a better player with Sinclair in front of him …. I still think Scott S will start next Sunday (but I have a proven record of being incorrect :-) to risk a fiver !!!!

  27. How bad was MCGee today?? It was I embarrassing to listen to. Oh an another thing Hayley needs to lay of the Scotch pies…

  28. BMCUW

I have a severe dislike of Arsene Wenger.

I think you can guess why.

Hope you had a good day out today.
