Lots of critical comments on here today on Mark McGhee’s co-commentary. Some justified but I’d rather we cut him some slack. Mark was a terrific player for us and gave us some great memories and lots of joy.

Agreed, but so did Walker, Nicholas, Burley, MacLeod, Bonnar to name but a few.

I must say that the cover picture of this album is of the most handsome man and beautiful woman I have seen on any record cover.
I have mentioned this before but Rita Coolidge is of joint Scottish/Cherokee origin. Lovely singer.
And Kris is up there with Gordon and Jim Croce for me.

RE scoring goal from bye kick, I was at a Celtic match in early 1960’s. Frank Haffey took a bye kick into a very strong wind and sclaffed the ball into his own goal. Against Airdrie I think. Ref decided the ball had moved before Frank kicked it and ordered a it to be retaken.

Having been housebound or snowbound since 4pm Thursday, I escaped this morning & managed to make it to local Supermarket & adjoining Coffee Shop.
Back in the gaffe now my thoughts are turning to next Sunday and I am relishing the prospect of a good Hun Skelping Day.
Big Eddie & Moussa are beginning to look like a formidable strike force, I hope Brendan sets them loose on the Huns next week.
For me De Vries, Jozo, Marvin & Ajer at the back, Brown, Ntcham, Rogic, Tierney & Wee James with Eddie & Moussa leading the line.
Subs Bain, Hendry, Charly,Paddy, Sinky & Kouassi.
Result 3 nil to the good ghuys.

Someone asked for this earlier…
Fiorentina captain Davide Astori has died at the age of 31, just hours before he was due to lead his side out against Udinese.
Astori is reported to have died suddenly on Sunday morning in a Udine hotel, where La Viola were basing themselves ahead of Sunday’s Serie A match.
All of Sunday’s Serie A games have been postponed as a show of respect for the player.
A club statement read: “Fiorentina is deeply saddened to announce that our captain Davide Astori has passed away, after suffering a sudden illness.
“For this terrible and delicate situation, and above all out of respect for his family, we appeal to the sensitivity of the media.”
The central defender began his career with AC Milan, but after failing to break into the first team he moved to Cagliari in 2008 and made 174 appearances for the Italian side during a six-year spell.
Following loan stints with Roma and Fiorentina, Astori made his move to Florence permanent in 2016 – scoring three goals in 58 games.
Astori was capped for Italy 14 times, making his debut in a 2-0 friendly win over Ukraine in 2011.

Feel a bit guilty for omitting McGregor, so maybe a slot on the bench for him.
When you consider that Gordon, Boyata, Bitton,Armstrong,, Hayes & The Grifallo are all still out injured & Mad Mik is suspended plus Christie & Morgan to join us next season, it will be hard to accommodate all that talent.
WE also have a couple of the young ghuns Ralston & Miller etc knocking at the door. I’ll stop there as I’m making myself dizy.

Cant get too excited about what i thought was pretty flat performance against championship opposition.need to up our game if we’re gonna do double treble.far to many slack passes not doing receiver any favours..lots of pòor crosses too..A positive that moussa got a couple and looked hungry but think we’re still a good bit off top form.cheers

Arsenal are absolutely chaotic defensively. AQN in meltdown over failing to replace Martin keown with a similar no nonsense centre half.
Arsenal’s equivalent to Peter Lawwell meanwhile is in the board room celebrating another huge bonus and a sparkling balance sheet, waiting for the imminent implosion of the EPL business model.
