The studio guests were bigging the wee Huns goalie up for a Scotland call up :-)

  3. First 6 minutes of Motherwell v Hearts – a goal for Motherwell disallowed, a Motherwell defender booked then a goal for Motherwell allowed, almost direct from a corner following Komedy Klub defending.

‘Mon the lWell – the lesser of 2 evils.

Strong Rangers Association to discuss using VAR.

Wonder if they will have it at their cup draws…..?

Looks like he has been through the Stewart Kennedy school of goalkeeping !

Operation Protect Dallas Jnr. in flow.

I have never heard of the BBC seeking clarification of a ref’s decision during a game and quoting Fleming as the authority.

The incompetent ruled out a perfectly valid goal and the BBC immediately sought to exonerate him.

Another disgrace for Scottish media and football.

  9. itscalledthemalvinas on

Carl McHugh go’s through the minis Wonderboy.

Hope big Levein is moaning about that tackle after the game

  10. prestonpans bhoys on

I wonder how Gordon Parks will feel this time next week if his beloved team is beaten. There’s a shift in the sands with this OF fixture , he informs us all………

  11. Gerryfaethebrig on

BBC “advising” the Gers fans doing the cup draw later that Motherwell might be missing a few players “if” they make the semi final, Dallas junior will book big Nadir to join McHugh missing the semi

    Paranoid ?

We were never paranoid enough :-)

to all you ghuys getting fed up with the dog talk, in ref to matt stewarts story about george graham earlier, remember years ago being at a christening, we all went back to the local british legion club

*the late lamented Jim Devine told a story of being in Dumbarton Golf Club one Sunday when a group who had been at a christening arrived. One of them was playing for a “big” Scottish team at the time, the St Mirren/deidco game was on and one of Jack McGinn’s grandson’s scored for the buddies, much joy ensued amongst the group and then one of them turned tae the fitba player and said if St Mirren win the day they are above you in the League, his response was along the lines of I don’t give a donald duck as long as the huns get beat. PeteC he was a Bellsmyre lhad and no Tyre either.

im sitting there looking at the photos of the queen on the wall really felt uncomfortable, suddenly dont know why, but the subject of religion came up, next thing the guy sitting opposite says to me, no need to ask what your religion is jimmy, by the way jim is my proper name, i said what do you mean,he said your a jock, all jocks are protestants.

*I had a director born in Montreal of Hungarian extract who on hearing me discussing a live Stations of the Cross on Good Friday with a wee Italian lassie said “Scottish Catholic, that’s an oxymoron”. My response was “aye only 15% of the population which is why I’m living over here”. I’ve been given the grip many a time and only because of my accent.

The tackles in this Well v Hertz are brutal, think the ball will be substituted soon for a rest too !

  15. Hrvatski Jim on

Last time we met Hearts in a final seems to be in 1956 which is extraordinary given all the finals which we have played and quite a few that they have played in.

I can’t think of any other large club (expect Sevco of course) that we have not played during that time.

  16. FAVOURITE UNCLE on

bbc commentator.????????????he is worse than the hun on HUN tele.

    BERRA for player of season.

COCHRANE ,jist had to mention goal against his goal against CELTIC when herts put them to the sword .

mentioned well player sent off in league cup final” and that cost them the cup.”

  17. Dallas to Lafferty “10 more fouls like that and I will need to book you brother”.

  18. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

It will be difficult to tear oneself away from this cup tie to watch the Barca v A Madrid game.

    However, I’ll try.

  19. Murderwell are on a bit of an upward curve after a mid season wobble. Will be a tough game in a fortnight.

  20. prestonpans bhoys on

If you have had enough of agricultural football then Barca v Atl Madrid is free on Sky 121

  21. 40mins

    Motherwell 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

“Different strokes foe different folks and so on and so on”

The Well fans are urging a yellow card for Kyle Lafferty.

Moments after the striker was pulled up for a foul on Cedric Kipre, he crashes into Tom Aldred.

But referee Andrew Dallas decides the Northern Irishman’s challenge was accidental on this occasion.

  22. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

    HRVATSKI Jim,

That was my first cup final.

One of my pet hates in football commentary is when one of them says that “it could have been 2”, when a goal has been scored after one has been disallowed.

When a goal has been disallowed, the whole run of a game changes, as in, after a valid goal , the game restarts from the centre of the park.

Any subsequent play, no matter what time is on the clock, is as a result of the restart.

  23. Call_of_Juarez on

When we signed Cifti I thought he could have done a job for us but watching him today I have to conclude that he is a dumplin.

  24. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

The day after the Hearts-Hibs game when Hibs had the “goal” disallowed when the ball was over the line, the beeb had an old ref on to discuss the decision.

Of course he said how difficult it was for the linesman to see and that he was a few yards off the by-line so wouldn’t have had the ideal angle to see.

He then said he thought his view of the ball was obscured by the post.

Well if he was a few yards off the by-line and he couldn’t see the ball for the post then it would HAVE to be over the line!

    From Falkirk Fanzone on Twitter.

Looks like the game v Sevco is to go ahead, safe travels to all Bairns, it has to be the most vile place in Scotland full of knuckle staggers and thugs but we will follow Falkirk. COYB.

I couldn’t have put it any better myself.

    Hail Hail

Dodds was whining about our penalty for about 20 mins’Celtic got away with one there…’, he actually compared it to Shalke’s dive for Ross Cty against us last season, reprehensible tax dodger

Lol. Yes he surely cemented the phrase “have you seen a handsome Hun” for me in my childhood.

My dad didn’t bother about Scotland due to their selection policy but he always wanted to see england beaten at anything (football-cricket-eurovision song contest)

Not that day in 1975. Cheered every goal that flew past big ugly Kennedy.

    16 Roads,

If memory serves me well (which it may well not do) the Lions weren’t any different to any other Celtic team I’ve watched. They weren’t good at shys.

    …………………..

    100% correct.
