Just heading out when saw your post.

I was very rude to you the other night for that I owe you an apology.

  2. DESSYBHOY on 3RD DECEMBER 2017 3:40 PM

    Barney

Got it, did not know her band were the blackhearts.

    Tontine Tottie Beck, Im lost

*tottie beck was an Icelander and St Mirren’s highest paid player, he was also their best and yet out of the blue (pun intended) he moved along Paisley Road West in at that time a record transfer fee.

Around the time of his move I had a former school friend/neighbor, who worked in an establishment on Hope Street. At the time of the transfer of beck he told me that it was common knowledge in his employers building that the Buddies wanted shot of his huge salary.

At the same time it seems a prominent home builder who was also chairman of a neighbouring team to St Mirren was looking to build homes in the same county as the Buddies home, it was alleged that in return for rezoning his team would take beck off the hands of a council members favourite team for as stated above a Scottish record fee. Knowing of them did money really change hands.

He never reached the heights he did in Paisley, in fact his only endearment tae the baying hordes there was his mercilessly and repeated fouling of Celtic’s wee red heided winger in a New Year’s game where the wee mhan ended up retaliating and gubbed his aggressor leaving him flat out on the pitch. As Jimmy ran up the tunnel the wee faker had a miraculous recovery and jumped tae his feet. With only 11 games and 2 goals tae his credit he was gone by the end of that season.

  3. Tontine

Thank you seems nothing changes, McInnes is a dumpling hope they get him and Milne has to face the Sheep support who should chase him out their club.

  4. Pretty unedifying spectacle at Pittodrie these last few days.

Firstly, a baffling system being used for the first time against a team on the ropes. Now losing to 10 men, whilst barely troubling their keeper.

In any other league in the world some serious questions would be asked if the losing manager suddenly turned up at the home of the victors.

Feel a bit sorry for the Dons support – they have been badly let down by their chairman here. On the other hand, they could use this crisis as an opportunity to make a smart, long-term appointment like Jack Ross.

McInnes is a middling manager anyway. Sevco fans will be baying for hi blood in 18 months I suspect.

  5. CULTSBHOY- LAST OF THE FAMOUS INTERNATIONAL PLAYBHOYS on 3RD DECEMBER 2017 4:27 PM

Agree re Jack Ross…or even Steven Robinson

*being a resident of the northern lights what’s the feeling re milne and mcsleekit up there.

BTW Mrs Robinson would be a good appointment, give them a bit more steel and then they widnae be lambs tae the slaughter (pun definitely intended) for them if he can take farmer moult with him, either him or tommy scheidt or even the current NI manager.

  6. Barney67,

No apology necessary, although it’s appreciated all the same.

We all have our moments ;-)

Your opinion is as valid as anyone else’s and i can see why you might have taken umbrage at some of the things i posted. Not a problem, my friend.

  7. McInness has put himself in an impossible position now,

if he goes to the huns he will be despised by the Dons fans,

and half the huns dont want him either,so the minute he loses games they will turn on him.

  8. Had a wee swatch at an Aberdeen forum there. Most of them want McInnes gone. Some want him sacked but others pointing out that they would have to pay him compo. They want the money from Sevco. They absolutely hate us. The penalty against Motherwell on Wednesday was part of a conspiracy.

  9. South Of Tunis on

    Hah !

Got a text this AM from my West Ham pal-

” A 1-0 for us has the same odds as an 8-0 for them”

  10. McInnes has underachieved at Pittodrie. For four years his team had second biggest budget in the league so 2nd was minimum expectation. He won on League Cup, fortunately on penalties, at a time when the likes of Ross County, ICT, St Mirren St Johnstone were winning cups.

He’s a darling of the SMSM, especially Spiers, but without anything to back up their hype. He generally bottles big games and reverts to negative tactics. Aberdeen would be better off taking the money and going for a young up and coming Manager like Jack Ross, however Mr Time to Move On will probably go ‘safe’ with Gies a job McLeish or Tommy Wright.

  11. i'vehadtochangemyname on

well, it was good while it lasted – the last two league games have shown sevco are back and we can look forward to an era of dominance from them and scottish football being great again!

  12. Ok, so who’s post got deleted this time :-)))))

My first post today was a podium on page 22, but when i looked justnow, i thought my post had been deleted ( are any of our mods Polis ?) only to find it as the last post on page 21.

Back to Big Moussa – can’t remember who it was posted earlier to the efferct that Moussa isn’t quite as good as many would have us believe.

I have some sympathy with this view. I think he’s got big, big potential, and a very good future ahead, but……sometimes it seems that his feet don’t always do what his brain tells them to, and it makes him look clumsy. Watching Tom Rogicyestersy i thought to myself, if Tom could teach Moussa something about spatial awareness, body positioning , and transfer some of his ‘touch’, then Moussa would be a much better player than he already is.

Tom seems to be able to float through a game, sometimes massively influencing the game, other times having less effect. He has huge ability to control the ball, not only through his feet, but as much through knowing when it’s not necessary to touch the ball, but by using his body, and the space around him to beat an opponent. A very talented player, and one of my big favourites in a whole squad of favourites.

Less criticism of Moussa than exalting young Tom. Big, big player for us this season.

  13. mcsleekits record with the sheep against sevco is:

Played 5, won 1, lost 4, goals scored 4 against 11. One of those defeats was 0-3 against nutty pedro’s side

    For St Johnstone against sevco/deidco:

Played 10, won 1 tied 1, lost 8, scored 7 conceded 21. The tied game was the SC semi that finished 1-1 but deidco won 4-3 on penalties. They were 1 down aet when nasty scored fae a penalty tae equalise, dougie dougie was the mitb.

    And he’s a great manager.

  14. Big Packy,

it is understandable someone suggested you are an imposter,

given the pish you posted at 14.05 ;-))))

  15. As ever Celtic can rely on nobody but themselves.

We have the best team/squad in Scotland we are already 7 pts ahead plus goal difference with a game in hand. This has been achieved whilst playing extra European Qualifying, Group Stage & Betfred Cup Games.

Now that our schedule will be much the same as the rest apart from Hopefully a few Europa Cup Games we will pull away further & win the League in a canter.

Neil Lennon will at least keep the Huns honest & will battle them for second place.

Dodgy Managers & Dodgy Refs stink but they are all too far behind us to make a blind bit of difference.

  16. Big Packy,

did you not see the wee smiley face at the end of my post,

means i was making a joke,

but seriously i canny see the huns getting near us in years,

    Brendan staying or going

  17. GORDYBHOY64. sorry apoligies didnt see the smiley thing. just been irked by nelsons boy calling me an imposte.r hh.

  18. Big Packy,

    no worries mucker,

but amazed that anyone thinks the huns will get close to us in years

  19. mike in toronto on

I have to say … I have never understood this ‘he’s a hun’ thing …. too many are far to quick to play that card.. it usually doesn’t add anything to the discussion

A blog, by its nature (we all have a blog name) is to some degree anonymous .. so, for me, who makes the point is somewhat irrelevant … either the argument is right/well supported, or it isn’t, regardless of who makes it

On that note, anyone ever hear from Edward Ursus?

Olivia read your final post to her this morning (late morning I might add!)

You are now, officially, her hero!

Thanks again from her and her auld da’!

  28. Just about to watch Sportscene. Michel Stewart remains a decent pundit and Steven Thomson has certainly improved. That leaves the editors. Will they show the Moult incident that brought blood from the face of our Captain?

    I`ll say……..no.

Derry and I are Doing okay, all things considered.

Have to work this afternoon, so didn’t go the soup kitchen this morning and, instead, took Derry down to the lake (she loves the water!) for an hour. She gets really tired, so is now passed out at my feet, snoring away!
