    Interesting comments about JI.

The NT have kept their eye on him all through his ups and downs.

He seems to be a late bloomer.

  2. If Celtic take A £30m Bid with even a 10% sell on clause for Moussa.

    Odsonne, possibly even better.

My Bhoy was defensive when I said that Tony Ralston could be Better than Kieran.

    The beauty of CQN

I know that GFTB despite his and indeed so many others flouncing will be desperate to post, but wont/cant/will not for whatever reason or are just havng a wee break, but we all know the beauty of CQN and the community will always be there, and how it brings people together and helps so many others less fortunate than ourselves.

They may post, they may flounce, they may look in, they may gripe, but they are there and that is what I love about it

This has been another good weekend for Celtic as we roll on to 7IAR! Still five to go.

We completely dominated Motherwell and it’s fun to see the guys who aren’t first picks display a bit of personality as well as class when given a place. I hope we’ll see them again this month but I’m sure it will be in some of the twelve home league games remaining this season.

Words of praise for Pat Bonnar. Packy spoke with warmth and eloquence to the family of Alec Collins, the first Donegal born Celt, at the commemmoration at his graveside in St Kentigern’s cemetery yesterday lunchtime. He knows our history and earns top marks from me.

Thanks are extended to those in position who had the internal doors at the bottom of the staircase from 143 open to allow egress. Commonsense is an under-rated quality. Bring on Anderlecht, Celtic are ready.

    Noone knows anything REALLY.

Brendan mentioning the humility of the Celtic Support was Powerful.

The attacks are gonnae come thick and fast.

I think the rush to judgement stifles youngsters.

Seems in the UK physicality is still the deciding factor over skill?

Strange how many coaches in EPL and SPL are reluctant to use homegrown youngsters whereas the Bundesliga which is physical has no problem with theirs.

Between my finger and my thumb

The squat pen rests; snug as a gun.

Under my window, a clean rasping sound

When the spade sinks into gravelly ground:

My father, digging. I look down

Till his straining rump among the flowerbeds

Bends low, comes up twenty years away

Stooping in rhythm through potato drills

    Where he was digging.

The coarse boot nestled on the lug, the shaft

Against the inside knee was levered firmly.

He rooted out tall tops, buried the bright edge deep

To scatter new potatoes that we picked,

Loving their cool hardness in our hands.

By God, the old man could handle a spade.

    Just like his old man.

My grandfather cut more turf in a day

Than any other man on Toner’s bog.

Once I carried him milk in a bottle

Corked sloppily with paper. He straightened up

To drink it, then fell to right away

Nicking and slicing neatly, heaving sods

Over his shoulder, going down and down

    For the good turf. Digging.

The cold smell of potato mould, the squelch and slap

Of soggy peat, the curt cuts of an edge

Through living roots awaken in my head.

But I’ve no spade to follow men like them.

Between my finger and my thumb

    The squat pen rests.

    I’ll dig with it.

  8. Fanatic,

The evidence is good when a Club is forced to use the young players In the sp/fl.

Anderlecht are going to really test Celtic on Tuesday

The Support is magnificent at the mo, it has to be said.

If Celtic score in the 1st half then its over. :)))

    Keep the ball Bhoys.

  10. The weirdest place I ever watched a game from was an orange lodge

With My two brothers and two other big friends in support and size went to watch us and them

It was the only place in town we could see the game

The old man could not believe what we had done he was disgusted

  11. Morning GFTB , think the two of us went. to far, so how’s about a truce , the two of us don’t post when drinking, GET BACK ON , I will stop posting if that’s want you want

  12. Good morning CQN, enforced day off work due to wife coming over from Brunei with the severe lurgy.

As regards Odsonne, before we get too carried away. We only have him on loan with a view to buying so we don’t want him setting the heather alight too early. He obviously thinks the world of Brendan and I’m sure Brendan knows the boys abilities inside out by now so we might not see too much of him until the deal is done.

  13. 50 shades of green on

Been going to see Celtic since the auld mhan could fit me on his shoulders, I have seen good times and bad times, I’ve seen bad refs and really bad refs ——– but step forward Kevin Clancy thats the first time I’ve ever seen a ref move the wall closer to the ball at a free kick.

  14. Due to my computer being goosed for a week now, and me waiting until boxing day sales to buy a new one, I haven’t been on here cos its murder trying to use my mobile, but it appears that I’ve missed arguments, flouncing etc between some bloggers ?

I have no idea who is to blame as its very hard to read on here using my mobile.

I’ve just read also that a post from someone was deleted cos of one sweary word ?

    Sad if true ?

I have my own doubts about certain posters on here and their agendas, and these guys are the o es that should be getting bumped aff of here.

Two weeks ago a certain poster on here called ALL Tims tw#ts and pyshcos etc, and yet not one MOD deleted that post….what’s going on ?

I was lucky enough to be invited this time last year to meet up in the BV with many of the Bhoys on here for Christmas dinner etc, and it was a great wee day….however, I don’t know if a Christmas dinner is planned this month, or even if so that I would be invited if such a day out was happening ?

I have met some great Bhoys from thus blog in the last year, but there are some who I suspect who are either guns and/or keyboard bullies who NEVER show their face at any CQN get together, and never will.

I will try and still meet the Bhoys that I have met before like Blantyre and Oldtim etc etc now and again, cis I know they are good guys.

  15. ART OF WAR on 3RD DECEMBER 2017 10:37 PM

Agree with much of what you are saying. This recent fashion item of who can be the most offended is ridiculous and will set real female equality back years. Already the signs of a backlash are evident.

Had a great night at the Panto with the family. Good old fashioned ,traditional Christmas fun. Yet there are those who are even offended at Panto. Boo hoo. And it was £9 less per person than a ticket to Grayskull .

I noticed TWC intimating that there will be changes to the CQN format in the new year. I don’t believe that we are infiltrated with trolls, but possibly anonymity can influence the tone of posts. And of course most so called trolling occurs when a few swallies have been consumed.

I wonder if the changes will be along the lines of what occurs in the CQN Facing Book where a personal profile is available for perusal if anybody so wishes. Would that be acceptable on an open forum or would some closed group format be necessary?

No doubt we shall see, but it will be a delicate balancing act to ensure optimism traffic. It would also be an opportunity for a new start for many lapsed Colleagues.

    HH .and Ho Ho Ho.

  16. Good morning, friends. The very best of luck to our fellow poster, Eurochamps67 with his operation today.

Hope all goes well big man☘️☘️

  18. I met up with urochamps at the match on Saturday and he seemed in good form for what he was about to face today but, if it’s any help at all, he has the hopes and best wishes of a lot of people on here and elsewhere who are looking to see a good guy rewarded with some good luck.

    All the best A

  19. Eurochamps67,

God luck today and prayers for the best possible outcome.

A word on moderation……..i’ve read about some changes coming in the new year to the blog. How about posters being able to edit their own posts, and, instead of just a blanket deletion of a post with an offending sweary, how about a moderator just edit the post – redacting offending language or phrases. I know it would be time consuming, but no more so than deleting multiple posts which quote the original ?

Just a though, and also, a bit of support for the mods. How many here would volunteer to do it, give up their own time, free of charge ?

  20. Eurochamps 67

    “GOOD LUCK” obviously…

See how useful an edit facility would be ???

  21. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Perhaps, everyone wants to reflect on the damage that is being done to the blog ?

Spats, usually drink fuelled are becoming the norm and many posters are simply avoiding these days. It’s like any other walk of life; you’d cross o the other pavement to avoid a drunken fool.

There’s a lack of realisation, that things have become so bad, Paul67 is having to Police the blog. As that fact flew over many heads, We now have the situ the Moderators rather than being supported are often faced with CQNers, throwing the rattle out the pram.

Bizarrely, the amount of posts in support of those banned or on the same road just adds to the hassle.

Ps for the avoidance of doubt : Nothing to do with the weekends episode, as it’s just another example in a series. The trend to log on after

getting home from the boozers is a real “culprit” here.

  23. Goooood Morning CQN

And in Jobo’s words, only 1 more sleep :-))

Back to Saturday, just watched a video of Tom Rogics missing goal ( or forgotten as words used on news now) anyway, even less convinced it was offside than previous – potentially 2 Motherwell players across the back line playing him onside ????

One other thing, the adverts have chased away many posters, taking over screens and not letting access from many devices

    Right work

    Hail Hail

  24. Spats and flounces? Pfft, it’s only the 4th December – we’re only getting started. Don’t you know there is a CQN December Fallout Quota we need to meet?

We need everyone to go the extra mile to meet this year’s target.

  25. What is this all about, Johnstone,Rae, Ferguson,Boyd,Dodds,ex rangers men,all in the media, especially Clyde, and Sportcene,,ie Thomson,

  26. Why would McInnes ctiticise another club’s search for a new manager, nothing to do with him, he said last week he was staying at Aberdeen, didn’t he?
