The tackle by Halliday on Paddy Roberts was a Red Card all day long, another shocking decision that will be glossed over because we won !

  4. My quetion earlier was to find out if the ref taught in a secondary or primary school.

If he taught in a catholic primary school he has to be a catholic but not a seconday. (in my understanding)

I hope i’m not being reliigous in my remarks

    KEEP THE FAITH

Agreed again there did seem to be a pause. Maybe he blew immediately but it took some time to reach us!

From where we were in the Celtic end, we had to wait to see if he’d actually given the penalty – I’m sure there was a pause, before we knew for sure? I’m calling it the ‘Celtic getting a penalty pause’ .

*that’s the way I am when we score against them, looking tae see if the goal is given before celebrating.

Your understanding isn’t quite accurate mate. Gollum taught RE in a Catholic secondary but I’ve no idea of his personal faith.

Brilliant…but I never knew that MICK HUCKNALL had a Glasgow accent ?

Huns vile banner on m8 motorway before the game today is the exact same banner/wording except replace Martin McGuiness with Desmond White years ago at the hun end of Celtic Park just after Desmond had passed away.

SCUM of the earth, and Europes Shame !

    Never a pen,

Typical fenian in black anti rangers decision

Lawwells control of Scottish football combined with Opus Dei controlling the media has led to a society where rangers minded people arent allowed express their culture

Would’ve been cool if I was right though.

  11. Gollum was Principal Teacher of RE in a Catholic school so no way he was not practising

The blatant penalty and the fact that we won covers a very poor performance Sevco could have been down to 9 and the booking of Rogic for farting in the general direction of a hunnite cement him as an uncle Tim.

  12. ExSlaemuirBhoy on

    |Willie Collum imho only got 1 major call wrong, tackle in 2nd minute on PR. Let the game flow , which was to our advantage being a football team. He’s made a few howlers in the past granted but was pretty fair today

  13. I think Paddy made a tactical error by bouncing up immediately after Halliday’s brutal assault. It made it a tad easier for Collum not to issue a straight red.

I think most players in that situation would have had a “wee lie doon.”

There are plenty of Catholic teachers who don’t practice amigo.

*I’m over 50 year out of school but when I was there, even though we had non-Catholic teachers, only the Catholic ones ould teach RK, as it was known then, and even then they had to pass a very strict exam to do so.

  16. Collum is a very religious boy. Thought he had a decent game. Halliday’s tackle could and should have been red but aside from that just wee minor issues.

Basically that was a stroll in the the Park. 2 going on anything we wanted and I didn’t think we hit anything like our top gear.

Should that not have read’ Everything we Fenian get’?

    …………………

You and I are on the same wavelength. I toyed with the idea of putting Fenian in instead of inserting asterisks. As you would expect there were no asterisks from the original poster on RM.

Celtic’s superiority in playing football wins the game, however, blatant cheating from MIBs and huns on display for all to see.

Time to do something about it while it cannot be labelled sour grapes.

It sounds feeble but it’s such an unfair sporting advantage that rangers get in Scotland.

That tackle on Roberts would have been a red card in rugby.

    SFTB my condolences.

  19. Mr Rodgers..

BRENDAN Rodgers has guided Celtic to the Scottish Cup final after sweeping Rangers aside in a convincing 2-0 victory at Hampden.

Goals in each half from Callum McGregor and Scott Sinclair ensured a return to the National Stadium to face Aberdeen on May 27 as the Hoops make their bid for a domestic clean sweep.

The six-in-a-row champions dominated proceedings from the first minute and the Celtic manager expressed his delight with the all-round team performance as the Celts marched on to 41 domestic games unbeaten for the season.

Speaking after the game the Celtic manager said: “I thought we played brilliantly today. It was everything you could want from your team in terms of composure, temperament and technical quality. We started the game very well and we scored a great goal. The only disappointment is that we didn’t score more.

“We restricted Rangers to very few opportunities. Our back line was aggressive and they stayed high, so that any time they did get in behind us, we were in good positions to cope with any danger. In the second-half we coped well with moments of pressure and we got our second goal. At 2-0, we were comfortable.

“Over the course of the game, to play against Rangers at that tempo and with that quality, it makes me very proud. We’re 12 months on and it shows the level we have gone to. I’m very pleased.”

The Scottish Cup final meeting with Aberdeen will be the second time this season that the sides have contested a domestic final.

Back in November, Celtic beat the Dons 3-0 to win the League Cup – the club’s 100th major honour in their long and illustrious history. With the Premiership title secured as well, now the aim is to make a domestic clean sweep with a Scottish Cup success, and the Irishman is hoping for another great day for the Hoops at Hampden.

“The final will be a good game,” he said. “We’ll prepare well to face Aberdeen and we’ll work with our medical and sports science teams, who deserve huge credit. We’ll be looking to arrive at the Scottish Cup final in peak condition with everyone fit, as we did today.

“Today was about the collective, it was about the team. From the goalkeeper all the way through to the substitutes, it was immense. I really enjoyed watching today.

“I thought that we looked like a powerful, real top quality side. A top team that played with possession, composure and we played through the thirds quickly. We were a threat with our speed and we pressed the game with good concentration. Today was a day for Celtic and collectively, it was a really top performance.”

  20. cathedral view on

Just back from the match. Thought we were superb, a really professional performance where we could’ve scored a barrel load had certain stars aligned.

When I say ‘stars aligned’ I really mean ‘officials done their job’.

From my vantage point it seemed very much like the opposition, once again, had been given free reign to put the boot in. Is it only Celtic who face this kind of aggression week after week? We should’ve been playing against nine men perhaps even eight.

Also, did anyone notice the change in the way the game was refereed once we went two up. Suddenly every 50/50, 60/40 & 70/30 decision was going against us. Phantom fouls appeared whenever we built up an ounce of momentum and the game became very stop start.

Another step closer to the treble and still undefeated in Scotland.

It must get right up the nose of the SFA.

  21. FOR A PEOPLE AND A CAUSE on
