    Ok we were poor particularly the defence but also a bit unlucky – it’s the lack of hunger that worries me most though. Next week we need to see drive and purpose. Extra time needed to beat this mob?

    Sorry can’t agree with you re. James Forrest. He was by no means the worst. By your reckoning no one else in the team should ever play for us again. JF played a better defensive role in the second half than any of our defenders. He cleared up 3 Shakter attacks. Once using speed to outrun attacker, once putting his head in bravely and on another occasion passing out of trouble. He was probably our best player in my opinion.

    Sutton is a winner and was talented ….that costs …we won’t spend what it costs

     

     

    A Sutton equivalent nowadays would cost £18m, 70 grand a week in wages and wouldn’t come to the SPL anyway.

    Think that’s the end of M’kolo’s Celtic career. Never coming back from that. He was petrified the whole game. Great game to play a new centre half pairing.Arguably the most humiliating result in our history.

    Poor result, poor performance, but nowhere near the worst, and one from which we can recover.

    Jeezo – that was poor. Could see we were 2nd best from 10 minutes into the 2nd half.

     

     

    Commons miles better than anyone on the park, but the defence looked extremely shaky.

     

     

    Virgil looked good when not under too much pressure, but lost a couple of important headers from deep throw-ins. He and SM may turn into a partnership, but we don’t have time for them to work on that.

     

     

    Do appreciate that Neil didn’t want to go gung-ho, but Big George as the centre forward wasn’t working – was clear from about 30 minutes in – why not use one of the two strikers earlier on? Stokes to work with Commons would have been my preference.

    Wanting to go and being allowed to are 2 different things. Big Vic could have been retained for at least 1 more season. Hooper could have been retained until Jan. We may have lost a couple of mill in transfers but at least would have kept out only penalty box predator. As painful as it is to admit we gambled and took the money.

    Poor, poor defending throughout by all members of the back four. Hesitant and lacking in conviction, as were the rest of the team when in possession.

     

     

    Forrest and Izzy should both have scored with their chances. Commons unlucky to hit the bar.

     

     

    A first half goal essential next week and hopefully we can pile some pressure on.

    I think we can do the business at CP.

     

    Karagandy will face all the issues we faced around travel etc.

     

    If we get a goal at a crucial time (e.g.) just before half time, then we can do it.

     

     

    On the other hand…..

     

    If we don’t, then I think heads should roll, for gross incompetence – not sure whether it was the Chief Exec, Manager, Director of Football, or all 3 who chose to sell 2 of our best players without replacements lined up, either way it is gross incompetence, and in any other PLC , investors would be looking to replace the Chief Exec.
