  1. Bored now.

    Yawn.

    I’m off to a party.

Bye all. Enjoy your weekend now Celtic have won.

  2. Just back from CP.

Some good football played up to the penalty area but penetration from the wings was not great.

St. Mirren were relying on the odd breakaway but it would have been a major injustice if they scored.

Only had a limited view of the penalty incidents at the Jock Stein end. Hooper was clearly pushed by the player to his right and the ball clearly struck the raised hands of the player who conceded the corner. Neither incident was a stonewall pen., but, taken together with Kayal’s possible clip (too quick for the fans at the game to judge), it did look like Murray was determined to look as though he was resisting crowd pressure.

One confident prediction. The mainstream press, which the likes of KevJungle supports and subsidises, will not be making anything like the fuss they made over Arbroath’s “disallowed” goal.

Four points clear with a game in hand. Surely the panic merchants and the doom forecasters, from a few weeks back, should be starting to feel a wee bit silly sometime soon.

Or are they still auditioning to be the Daily Record’s best pal?

  3. Nasal, Your post of a few nights ago mocking a genuine Celt who is a respected contributor here because he is an alcoholic has turned me off you as a poster. If you were to apologise to him and admit you were out of order then I will debate with you in a normal fashion, otherwise you go your way and I’ll go mine.

  4. corkcelt I don’t benefit from ESP so I don’t know a poster is an accoholic.

Why are you so keen to take offence and play the victim on his behalf?

Need to get a shower then off to party hard.

    Hail Hail

How is it not a stonewall pen when the ball hits the raised hands of a defender, and the ball is directed elsewhere., had his hands not been above his head, the ball would have taken the path it was intended to take, as stonewall as it gets imo :>)

Aye,I have little doubt he is Celtic daft, but I think he is an attention-seeker with a short memory to boot.

He can be quite fun early doors on a Tuesday morning, but I doubt anyone really has the patience for it on a Saturday evening.

More to be pitied than ridiculed, though,as he clearly believes that an attendance of c48k in a stadium of 60k equates to 30,000 fans voting with their feet…….

Plus,I have never been too keen on being told that i am a liar-particularly on a PUBLIC forum.

KevJ you’ve no problem calling for NL to shut up but don’t like being told so yourself.

    Can you explain that inconsistency?

    ______________________________

    No inconsistency !

I was merely pointing out that he should know that the

dark-order will be waiting for him.

It’s his job – not mine.

  9. I’m pretty sure you did know, when you made the post “Have a Drink”, and if by any chance it was an unlucky shot in the dark by you., you knew straight away from the reaction. Yet you never came back and said sorry but continued baiting and saying you found the whole thing extremely funny. As to why I have taken umbrage I felt it right to stand up for a fellow Celt. Funnily enough where i come from thats what we do.

  10. KevJ “I was merely pointing out that he should know that the dark-order will be waiting for him.”

I didn’t divine that from your first post.

Right. I’m off before corkcelt bursts oot greetin

Must be luvly ghirls over there,Snake-I usually need a shower afterwards……..

  12. Season books are counted in the crowd total, so we have been paid for the empty seats.

I personally know of 7 SB holders from Ireland who weren’t there today, a bit close to Christmas for them, and the obvious cost, and etc……

    Armageddon, bring it on….

  13. TET

I take a slightly more careful interpretation of “stonewall”.

When Lenny was tripped in the Rangers game it was a stonewall pen. denied.

These 3 incidents, in the first half today, all had an element of individual doubt but the ref bias shows in denying them all.

The hand ball (and remember I have only seen it live) may have been deemed to be protecting his face or body from a close driven ball. It all depends on how high he raised them and how “unnatural” the position of his hands were.

The Hooper incident was a stonewall foul. I just was not clear that it happened within the penalty area.

Kayal’s was either a pen or a dive. it happened too fast for me to be sure.

So, in short, they are only “stonewall” when a neutral or an opposition fan would give it a grudging “Aye, mibbes it was”

  19. We are so slow and ponederous in our build up play, it makes sitting in against us so easy. We miss Commons and Forrest badly. We have the sideway pass down to a tee, we now need a midfielder who can make the forward pass that creates chances.

  20. Very tidy performance from a much more relaxed Celtic who continued with five in the middle to good effect.

Immaculate performances from Ambrose, Wilson, and Mulgrew

Dynamism from Brown, Wanyama, and Kayal and not flaw to be found in the Celtic squad.

St Mirren offered no threat on the break unlike other SPL visitors and Fraser Forster saved one shot in ninety three minutes, had Celtic finished more clinically the scoreline would have better reflected the gulf between the two clubs.

The only negative point from this game was Calum Murray whose antics continued in typical

fashion, denying Celtic at every conceivable juncture whilst purring away inside his yellow shirt and where in normal circumstances the law of averages would eventually cave in on a mere mortal referee.

hand balls were hard to see from 403.
