Celtic vindicated

1145

Yesterday’s decision by the SFA’s Judicial Panel, which ruled that Josh Meekings could not be subject to retrospective action as the referee saw the contentious incident on Sunday contradicted the initial official version of events, and totally vindicated Celtic asking for clarification of the incident.

I’ve not had a chance to read through all the apologies from those who used their platforms to criticise the club, but I’ll set aside an hour to do so later.  Keep an eye on the very personal attacks on Peter Lawwell.  There are people at Hampden who don’t like his influence.

It’s never good to get ahead of yourself, and it would be foolish to assume too much ahead of our visit to Tannadice tomorrow, but I hope the Highlanders take a point against Aberdeen today.  Winning the title would be a great way to start a holiday weekend.

Loving the narrative coming out of Ibox at the moment.  It appears they haven’t even applied for membership of the ISDX yet as they haven’t found an advisor yet.  I assume that’s the fault of the Easdales.  Or the BBC.  Or Celtic.  Or maybe it’s the Pope of Rome!

What a shower.  You know how this story ends….

  1. Croftcelt,

Perhaps, we should be looking ahead to the elections for the Scottish Parliament next year, and looking at how this issue can be addressed in that context .

with all due respect…..this is a naïve position…..all parties pander to the majority ( and to some extent ) the established ( establishment ) view…..

    Sorry the dishes needing doing!

If I misrepresented you then I apologise mate.

I was only trying to point out the hypocrisy of ‘let the people sing’ with the SNP’s opposition to anything resembling Irish identity.

Griffiths partnered with Guidetti or Scepovic and the opposition wont handle it.

    C’mon Ronny get it done.

Hamiltontim. No worries bud. Like I’ve said, the SNP are doing the ground work. Who you vote for thereafter maybe more crucial in the future. At least they are leading the way. The people in George Sq today are from all walks of life but all aiming for the same objective.

With a day or two in Doire thrown right in there..;-)

  15. Lurkin Tim,

Perhaps you are right, but my impression is that here are talented individuals on here. The Sottish Parliament elections enables the single issue candidates to have a voice and at least put forward a specific. single-issue message. I admire the work that is being done, but wonder if working through the direct channels is going to expose corruption and bring about real change. There may also be a need to think out of the box. Proper governance of sporting associations should be a feature of of a fair and just society.
