CELTIC will face Alloa in the Scottish Cup opener on Saturday January 22 with a 5.30pm kick-off.
The televised dates for the competition have been confirmed and Ange Postecoglou will make his debut as Hoops boss in the fourth round of the tournament at the home of the League One side.
The match will be televised live by Premier Sports following the tie between Junior outfit Auchinleck Talbot and Hearts which has a 12.30pm start.
HISTORY BHOY…Kristoffer Ajer thumps in the decisive penalty-kick to beat Hearts and claim the remarkable quadruple treble for Celtic in December 2020.
Celtic completed the phenomenal quadruple treble – all TWELVE domestic trophies over a four-year period of unprecedented domination – when Kristoffer Ajer banged the deciding penalty-kick past former team-mate Craig Gordon in the dramatic shoot-out following the 3-3 stalemate against stubborn Hearts after extra-time on December 20 last year.
The Parkhead side, of course, have the opportunity to go into the intriguing fixture with the Premier Sport League Cup already residing in the trophy room if they beat Hibs in Sunday’s showpiece silverware showdown at Hampden.
