We had our 11th annual CQN Charity Golf Open at Aberdour in Fife yesterday and it was another brilliant occasion. £2000 was raised for good causes, including a local Aberdour need, Tommy Burns’ Charity and the Celtic Foundation.
My thanks to the Joe Miller, who regaled us with tales of Maradona, Jinky and Sugar Roy Aitken. The buzz he got from playing for Celtic is clear. The day wouldn’t be possible without Taggsybhoy and BlantyreKev, but it takes an entire crowd to make special nights like this, so thanks to each of you.
This afternoon’s game against Rennes is an important step towards getting the players fully fit but the 90 minutes have to be balanced against the Champions League qualifier on Wednesday. I expect Ronny will ask the players the burn the flame brightly for a short period, before making lots of changes.

I am a shamrock rover’s supporter myself and many rover’s supporters would be good celtic men, however I know of 2, one recently deceased, who insisted they were rangers supporters. However it was just to be different and to wind up celtic supporters.
I knew one catholic girl from Falkirk who was a rangers supporter. She told me she used to get funny looks at ibrox when they saw her crucifix under her gers top.
Takes all sorts I suppose
I once tutored a kid who asked for and received a deidco top for his first communion and wore it at Mass.
There aren’t too many things in life that I literally can’t even begin to understand. This kind of thing looms large on that list though.

If anyone ever wanted to ascertain the intellectual level of 90% of the contributors to this forum – then your post captures it in a nutshell.
From running commentaries on the most mundane aspects of those in the clique’s lives, through ill-informed comments on the financial running of our club, bitter hatred and shouting down anyone with a differing view, and finally the description of night attire before being ‘tucked-in’….thank God the 90% on here are only representative of around 2% of our wonderful support.

I hope you are still around.
I just want to say thanks.
I can’t say with absolute certainty, but I think I visited around around ’55 or ’56, but I’m not sure.
We went for lunch in the refectory and I have vague memories of a football match.
We must have lost as I can’t remember any details.

It’s a question of taste.
Since we only ever see homogenized US comedy, this is a welcome change.
@GG of course your right …taste being the operative..
I.ve never laughed at ..say…. till death do us part
dads army ,terry and june etc etc . I find the freedom of
the mixture of us comedy to be high standard.
