CQN Golf Open knocks it out the park again

1384

We had our 11th annual CQN Charity Golf Open at Aberdour in Fife yesterday and it was another brilliant occasion.  £2000 was raised for good causes, including a local Aberdour need, Tommy Burns’ Charity and the Celtic Foundation.

My thanks to the Joe Miller, who regaled us with tales of Maradona, Jinky and Sugar Roy Aitken.  The buzz he got from playing for Celtic is clear.  The day wouldn’t be possible without Taggsybhoy and BlantyreKev, but it takes an entire crowd to make special nights like this, so thanks to each of you.

This afternoon’s game against Rennes is an important step towards getting the players fully fit but the 90 minutes have to be balanced against the Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.  I expect Ronny will ask the players the burn the flame brightly for a short period, before making lots of changes.

  1. Just back from the hospital with Mrs TET, and was shocked to find out what caused her heart attack, seems that her Thyroid has been the culprit, a little wee gland like that causing all her bother.

Still wearing the CQN polo tho :-)

    Is it over or underactive?

Big difference in the problems these can cause for the heart, and in their treatment.

Either way,I’m delighted TBO is on the road to recovery.

  3. TET,

Good to know the source is found, now it can be treated properly but healthy living is still paramount.

For example, it does not matter how much exercise I do I cannot shift weight, so I went to a specialist and was told it was glandular, an overactive greedy gland, apparently if I don’t stop eating like a pig the exercise will kill me :)

  5. 21-5-79 – could you try with no other tabs opened?

I have just tried on iPad this end and it is fine. Our work on the site over the past few weeks re sorting out the snagging issues has stalled due to holidays. Should be all systems go this week.

Re the Van Dijk headline – Everton manager was asked to rule out a move after it had been in the papers. We do try to provide a Celtic slant – look at the most recent post re the Scotland v England venue.

Very underactive, she has been exersizing big time, dieting and still gaining weight to beat the band, but in the past week or so, there are signs of improvement.

Today was all about confirmation from the cardiologist, her ecg was normal etc, so now to sort the gland thing.

    Thanks

  7. So much for playing in the heat of Azerbajan… I bet Qarabag are shitting themselves about playing in the Scottish summer.

  8. Anyone know if there’s truth to the Krammer rumours? Would be a great signing IMO if true, particularly if Stokes is out the door.

Big lad, decent pace and skill and has scored a good ratio everywhere he’s been.

  13. Morning all, in need of a bit of help/advice. Going to the Killie away game in two weeks with my missus, boy and daughter. The boy and I are season ticket holders so can get tickets with our season ticket however cannot get another two for the missus and daughter who are not season book holders. I need two more client codes so that I can get four tickets together. Is there anyone who is not going but would be willing to let me use their code to buy the tickets? Hope this makes sense!!

I will post my email in a bit if anyone can help. HH, CB
