Dangerous teams with nothing to lose

482

We lost at Ibrox in January to a team that did not record a single attempt on target, not even at the own-goal we conceded.  We lost there again this month having missed a penalty and even better chances, while assisting the effort with another own-goal.  Frankly, Newco must be wondering how poorly they need to play against us to lose a game.  Nothing I saw from the home team in either of our recent defeats there justified fear of them.

If the old adage ’beware the straw man’ holds true, Celtic will deliver.  The straw man has nothing to lose or fear.  What have Celtic got to lose heading to Ibrox on Sunday?  This should be the most relaxed Celtic team to head there in Newco’s 9-year history.

The dubious motivation, to stop Newco’s unbeaten run in the league, feels a bit beneath us, but still…..

  1. lets all do the huddle on

Sentinel Celts is the new garlic bread

would love garlic bread the now

drooling about it Homer Simpson style

Interesting fact. In a Crewe Alexander fanzine Q&A, Neil Lennon said his boyhood team was Liverpool. No mention of Celtic. Makes complete sense. Anyone with irish relatives will tell you they’re all obsessed with english football.

  3. lets all do the huddle on

Max Homa currently in 3rd place in the golf in America

Would be good if he could win it tomorrow

His wee brother Mini Homa won the grand national in the 90s so that would be a great double

went to the celtic liverpool game in dublin a number of years ago (8 or 9 years maybe?)

the ground was 3/4 liverpool fans

though maybe more accurate to say 3/4 red

i would put any money that a much higher percentage of celtic fans in the ground that day actually went to celtic games than the liverpool fans went to liverpool games

  5. Why support Celtic?

They express Irishness in Presbyterian Scotland, they give Irish/Catholics in Scotland a sense of pride, they play attractive football, they are anti-establishment, they represent the oppressed, they give hope of a better tomorrow, they wear a beautiful kit, they won the big Cup in 67, they beat Leeds in 1970, they won the double in their Centenary season, the 10 won the league in 1979, won the league on the last day of 1986 season, they won the Scottish Cup in its centenary year, they won against Kilmarnock with Jozo wearing number 5 scoring in the 67 minute to pay tribute to Big Billy. Tell me Celtic won’t win tomorrow? THAT’s ONLY RECENT TIMES. A God blessed team that are loved by romantics and poets and lovers of the beautiful game – God bless Celtic and all those fortunate enough to belong to the Celtic family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TET-you need to take a step back and realise some folk have been affected by this.

He still said he supported Liverpool. 🤷🏻‍♂️😆 We as Celtic fans need to stop being so covetous of praise is my point. He became a great tim. Never seen anything good come out of an irishman come from leftfield and proclaiming timhood in a Celtic context. I stand corrected of course.

I meant to reply to you earlier, life got in the way, sorry.

It’s all about the money and the goal, not my goal of course, read the Georgia Stones, or the the Lockstep report from 2010, everything they said in it is happening today, down to a T, but as ever I am mad and the con theorist, see the mad con theories that I have, I have yet to be proved wrong, I challenge anyone to say otherwise.

    What is your point.

Just how many bomb threats or death threats or assaults does it take for you to just give it up.

I hope you never had to go through even a tenth of what Lenny had to go through to be a Celt

    So bedtime for me .

I think we win tomorrow comfortably

I made my point. Celtic fans are covetous of praise, generally speaking. Almost as a complete 180 degree juxtaposition to the huns “no one likes us, we don’t care!” Neil Lennon was just an obvious illustration. No offence intended to the better man than me.

    TET

I don’t know what the Georgia Stones report is.

I just see no logic in major economic powers crippling themselves so a few interests might prevail.

Why would western economies put shackles on themselves whilst the Chinese (who are Covid free) are given a free rein. This makes no sense as the West is constantly concerned about Asian economic strength

    TET-bedtime for me buddy.

who knows who’s right or wrong.

But it’s happening, people are losing family members and you are just poo pooing it.

Like I said earlier, take a step back ffs,and think about others who don’t hold your beliefs

It seems to be an economic system that isnt fit for purpose. An economic system that requires regular wars or other major disruptions which allows constant resets to happen. The present crisis will give the opportunity for an extra mega reset (see the World Economic Forum. The usual suspects will be behind it.

the economic system also depends on poverty

it depends on that small circle who have the money making sure that there is a considerable percentage of people who have nothing, and make sure it stays that way
