There was a bit of surprise in England yesterday that Moussa Dembele, subject to a £6m bid from Tottenham in January, chose to move to Glasgow, instead of remaining in London, or picking up another option in the south. Perhaps it surprised a few here too.

On paper, signing a guy who scored 23 in 39 for Sporting Gijon was a result, but Stefan Scepovic is a name we’ll forget soon enough. He competed (loose use of the term) with John Guidetti and (then down the pecking order) Leigh Griffiths for the striker role but the feeling around Celtic was that we weren’t seeing the best of him.
He’s now off to newly-relegated Getafe, who clearly saw more in him on loan last season than we ever did.

Pre-season matches are usually pish(!), but it’s always a pleasure to cheer on the Celtic irrespective of who/where they are playing.
Was seriously considering going to the game as it’s only a six hour drive from here! No can do unfortunately, will have to make do with TV coverage.

I was being facetious, based on the original post, which I found highly ludicrous and I expect us to sign the top young players in the country if and where possible and I realise it isn’t always possible to see into the future, pick the good ones and sign them before other clubs ;)

The point she was making was not on the Brexit result, but the ludicrous position of the architects of the Leave campaign ; namely the idea of wanting to leave the EU, but to retain all the benefits of membership.

Seems Angela Eagle has upset her constituency members by her decision to stand against Jeremy Corbyn. No surprise there.
John Smith improved democracy by his insistence on OMOV. That system provided Corbyn-massively-with a mandate to lead the party.
But around a gross of members don’t like OMOV now,and are actively undermining his position. I don’t think it is only Eagle’s constituents who will be testing the waters on deselection.
Sounds like a normal divorce to me :0)

His predictions suck,mate. The Brendan one came a few days after he predicted a 20% winning margin to remain,and about 15 months after telling us Labour wouldn’t lose a single Scottish seat in the 2015 GE.
