If the statement by Inverness chairman Kenny Cameron was utterly bizarre, St Mirren’s Stewart Gilmour explains so much about Scottish football. 10 days after Gilmour voted to refuse Sevco a parachute into the top flight of the game, he accused Scottish Football League clubs of doing damage to Scottish football by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with him in refusing to promote Sevco into an unearned higher league.
He told the Paisley Daily Express: “To be fair to Stewart Regan, the document he released last week was a good document.
“It set out changes to Scottish football that would bring in a fairer structure, fairer distribution system, fairer everything.
“Unfortunately, the people in the SFL have not bought into that. I just hope they realise the damage they have done to Scottish football.”

The biggest obsticle to newco being accepted into the SPL and then Div.1 has been the fans throughout Scotland fans have let there clubs know Div.3 was the only acceptable solution. I think Regan and Doncaster are not in a position of strength as they say there jaikets are on a shoogly nail so any tampering to get newco in to an SPL1 or an SPL2 will be met by the same resistance from the fans and without fans there is no club and no football.H.H.

The Negti interview was indeed a ‘spoof’ however do we really doubt that fiction may very well mirror fact? I have yet to hear any credible evidence to the contary. Can you imaginge the furore if Paddy McC or Anto Stokes were pictured with elected members of Sinn Fein let alone former PIRA Volunteers.

If the SPL management meeting tomorrow u turn on their previous decision and vote rangers back into the SPL it would be the end of Scottish football as we know it, there would be a massive boycott by supporters of every other SPL club, anarchy would fall upon our game and it would not survive, surely even Reagan and Doncaster have enough brainpower to see this.
