If the statement by Inverness chairman Kenny Cameron was utterly bizarre, St Mirren’s Stewart Gilmour explains so much about Scottish football. 10 days after Gilmour voted to refuse Sevco a parachute into the top flight of the game, he accused Scottish Football League clubs of doing damage to Scottish football by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with him in refusing to promote Sevco into an unearned higher league.
He told the Paisley Daily Express: “To be fair to Stewart Regan, the document he released last week was a good document.
“It set out changes to Scottish football that would bring in a fairer structure, fairer distribution system, fairer everything.
“Unfortunately, the people in the SFL have not bought into that. I just hope they realise the damage they have done to Scottish football.”

Imagine the utter meltdown in all English leagues if SKY decide one year into the present deal that because, for example, hypothetically, Man Utd are facing liquidation because their debt burden has, due to unforeseen circumstances, overwhelmed them, would SKY apply pressure on EPL to re-admit Mannewco?

I wish people would get away from calling Charlie Green’s yet to be created football team ‘Rangers’.
Sevco 5088/Scotland have been given the opportunity to play a team in Division 3, a team they don’t currently have, a team that still has to meet certain criteria before formally being accepted to play.
How can the powers that be in Scottish football draw up proposals that specifically mention ‘Rangers’ when ‘Rangers’ don’t exist? Surely this would make any contracts a nonsense? How can bookies lay odds on ‘Rangers’ winning every game in Division 3, when a) ‘Rangers’ don’t exist and b) any Charlie Green Newco Huns 1690 Reincarnated can’t be called ‘Rangers’ so ‘Rangers’ won’t win any games in Divison 3. Surely this would make any bets null and void.
